Peter..your story is incredible. “You can always make more money, but not more time” is exactly where we are at with our 16 year old daughter. We just sold two of our businesses and are spending more time on adventures with our daughter. Happy for you and your family and hope to see y’all on the trail someday! 😃
It’s a Bug’s Life - thank you for your comments. Sounds like you guys are doing something similar and that is awesome! Hope to see you down the road as well.
You did a great job raising you children. It's not often to see kids today spending their time with their family and enjoying it. Great job and God bless.
Most families spend far less time together, or almost none nowadays if you count cell-phone-absence !!! The way you have a built your life and raised your family is inspiring !!! ❤️
Cool, two new roof tents. I’m sure designs have improved since you got the first ones. Can’t wait to see them! Oh my gosh! You’ll be just fine in the jeep and the trailer. 😅 you guys can handle anything extremely well!
Another great video. Just an idea that may make camp and towing a little easier. Have a hitch receiver welded to the trailer at the front of the box and mount the bikes on the trailer. Then you don’t have to take the bikes off if your not planning to ride them. Just unhook the trailer and pull forward to access the back of the Jeep. You also won’t have to worry about which order to load and connect things.
AZ for 2 months! That's what I heard. Yes! Gods country. We'll see ya in Flagstaff, if not sooner. I'm going to just pack up and start driving all the backroads, just to say hello. Thanks for sharing such great videos. You are absolutely living the dream.
We saw you guys when you first pulled into the Culver KOA. After we got home I looked you up. Great videos, awesome story, and I love your C.A.R.E videos Pete, even bought your book. Great to see a family enjoying the State I grew up in. Enjoy Oregon, there is a lot to see in the state. Hope to see you down the road.
Robert Taylor - Thank you for buying my book and for sharing your beautiful state with us. Carol was born and raised in Salem OR which is another reason why it is one of our fav states. ❤️👍🏻
not a fan of that style of Maxx Trax mount. The first time you use them and they bend or warp they will never go back onto the trailer without the help of the straps, which you just stopped using. Bottom line is keep the straps handy.
Are the higher rails you mounted on your trailer, to mount your tent on top of, a standard option through CVT or is this a EFRT original? Also, what is the reason for the higher elevation of your RTT, further away from the snakes, better breeze, higher vantage point (better shooting platform), or just looks cool for a higher CDI factor? Asking because I am doing the same to my trailer/RTT.
Hey Epic Family, love the new Jeep and trailer setup. That is my dream rig right there! The only thing I don’t like is that when you setup camp you have to take the bikes off and lay them down in the dirt. I did notice a receiver on the back of the trailer, could the bike rack mount there? Would save the gears on the bikes. Any ways, I’m looking forward to seeing your adventures in Arizona. Cheers, Johnathon
Johnathon Ayles - yes, great idea. Looking into some options for other mounting the bikes on the back of the trailer or on the front to distribute the weight more evenly. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.
Can you attach the bike rack to the front of the trailer above the extended tongue? That would make access to the kitchen and Jeep RTT much easier. Guy
Black Magic - greetings back to the Netherlands 🇳🇱 Both of my parents were born there and immigrated to Canada. Thank you for watching our adventures. Have a wonderful day! ❤️
Since the trailer is so light couldn’t you take the pin out the hitch then put the trailer on the ball then slide it back into the receiver and put the pin back in? Instead of taking the bikes on and off.
Subscribed!! Great stuff guys! We are currently traversing the Trans America Trail in our 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. We are super pumped to make it out west as we are coming from Outer Banks North Carolina. We are living out of our Jeep also since we left Florida. --- Hope to see you guys at Overland Expo West 2019! We have been posting every state so far along the way through the TAT. Great content very professional stuff guys.
Nikko and Lee - Thank you for your kind comments. Sounds like you guys are on an epic road trip! Yes, we will be at Overland Expo West, we look forward to seeing you there.
That’s another beautiful area. I don’t know about selling the RV. Seems like you’ll lose some utility and maybe somewhere to stay in during bad weather, however just living from your Jeep does seem exciting. 🤷♂️👍
Actually you should get Excursion diesel, invest money for rebuild. It will be way roomy than any Wrangler. Just to think, even Grand Cherokee has more cargo 36 vs 31 on Wrangler.
What's the benefit of the adventure trailer and RTT combo over something like a Black Series RV of some sort? My wife and I are planning to full-time and want a more rugged rig. There isn't much to choose from in the states, but we're not sure that a tent would work since I do IT support remotely.
Half my family is in Europe & I’ll respectfully disagree with you. There are more trekking vehicle options in the USA than Europe. Perhaps Australia is the top consumer market (per capita) for trekking/overlanding, but USA has excellent choices - Outfitted mid & full size trucks, Ford & Benz vans, SUVs like the Wrangler, 4Runner, & Land Cruiser, then RVs in every size imaginable. I suggest finding a Regional overland event/showcase ... it’s really eye opening in terms of the options from fully setup used vehicles at $30K and all the way up to 6-figure long haulers (like Earth Roamer). Best of luck!👍
Steve Pittsley - Hi Steve. great question. Hi agree with the other comments that he can probably learn the most by attending Overland expo. If you’re doing a lot of IT work etc then the tent configuration might not be the best. There are some awesome enclosed vehicle options available.
Vinny Provenzano - The Shasta Summit on the Jeep and The Mt Rainier on the trailer. We love them both. We will be doing a video review of them as soon as we get a chance. Hope this helps.
Epic Family Road Trip excellent, glad to hear! Would love to know initial thoughts on the extension for the Shasta (ladder being inside the annex room) vs going standard. Glad you went with extension?
Pretty awesome! What business opportunities or sources of income do you guys find both to keep this going and for the kids moving forward. My wife and I have talked about doing this several times and just find it hard to let go of the security of our jobs
josh beynon - Yes it is important to have a good source of income that you can earn while on the road. I work as an executive coach and professional speaker. I know some who make money with photography and others have online jobs. Hope this helps.
insaynbcr - 2 or 3 would be fine but all five are too heavy and lift up the front of the trailer. We are going to try and mount them on the front of the trailer. 👍🏻
how many km you driving at least for one day ? cause i want to buy a jeep and use it for daily and touring as well and what model good for that ? thank you so much and have a good day
Speed Brake2018 - it handles well, but we’re kind of maxed out on weight. We’re getting high capacity springs from AEV installed this week. We just motor along at the speed limit and everything‘s fine. 🚙👍🏻
nathan koroush - yes, we could always use more power. We’re kind of maxed out on the weight. As far as I am peachy, I haven’t looked in a while. Kind of afraid to look. 😂

Looking forward to the next 2 months of your new adventures. If you're not already familiar with it, check out Gaiagps app. Its indispensable for up to date and very accurate detailed information.
Wow your videos keep getting better and better! Love the new adventure you guys are setting out on! If you don't already know about him, check out Chris on Venture4WD on TH-cam. Great adventures! You guys are so close. Great example for young families. My hat is off to you.
Donnie Glover - Thank you for your kind words. Hope you have a wonderful day. ❤️
What a cool find. That arrowhead is a piece of history! Loving the new set up, looking forward to your review of it in two months.

I like where you are going with things. Be safe and enjoy!

Michael P - Hi There. We’ll definitely see you in flag. 👍🏻.
Excellent video sir - have owned two JKs & now a JL. Something about a Jeep that just nudges me to go out and explore. That trailer is so nice.
Krasnaludek - Yes, we agree that the jeep is the ultimate adventuremobile. The trailer is from CVT and is great for going both on and off road.
I’m super excited for you! Can’t wait to see more footage.
t.frye - 👍🏻🚙 Thanks for watching!

trekgeist - Thanks for watching. Are you going to be at Expo?
Great video!! Love having the ability to go to off road places with that setup. Really enjoy my CVT!!
Tim Weimar - Yes CVT is great. They get it. 👍🏻🚙 t⛺️
Living the dream. Excellent to watch here in the UK.
ntsms69 - thanks for watching in the UK. Hope to drive the Jeep through there one day. 👍🏻🚙
I Definitely live in the wrong country... here in England it definitely lacks the freedom of overlanding
Overlanding is my choice !!! I am hoping to get a CVT trailer and tent and do the same !!! Love your vids !!!

Great adventures. Hard to hear and understand if any wind noise. Better mic would work wonders. Thanks again
How much room do you have between the trail tongue and the rear wheels of the bikes? Pinch point.
Happy trails

Highway 168 - Agreed 🚙❤️
Young Indiana Jones!!!
David Rodriguez - 🤠
did you get your bikes back or did you have to buy new?
What size wheels are you running on the jeep?
Steven Hall - 35 X 12.5 Toyo RT Open Country
Any reason you don't put the bikes off the back of the trailer?
insaynbcr - 2 or 3 would be fine but all five are too heavy and lift up the front of the trailer. We are going to try and mount them on the front of the trailer. 👍🏻
@@EFRT - Maybe 3 on front of the trailer, and two on the rear?
insaynbcr - yes, that might be a good option to keep it balanced.
Im jealous. Have fun

I would like to know how you mounted the gas cylinder to the rear of the Jeep ??
Wayne Pugh - We used an AT propane mount made by adventuretrailers.com
Hope that helps.
how many km you driving at least for one day ?
cause i want to buy a jeep and use it for daily and touring as well and what model good for that ?
thank you so much and have a good day
anh vu mai - We drive 3-5 hrs per day when traveling. The JK or JL are great for that. 👍🏻
Just a question..... how does the jeep handle on the highway at speeds when loaded to limits with bikes and trailer? Love your videos!
Speed Brake2018 - it handles well, but we’re kind of maxed out on weight. We’re getting high capacity springs from AEV installed this week. We just motor along at the speed limit and everything‘s fine. 🚙👍🏻
I've got a two door that I take all over the country..believe me, the Jeep Wrangler isn't a highway vehicle..
Great Living
DARIO VIDARTE - 👍🏻🚙
Sell it and get a second Jeep for da kiddos oh yeah great epic videos
isaac oliva - Were considering that option 👍🏻🚙
MPG, fully loaded with the jeep and trailer? Does it need more power?

Ron Hanway - Yes we are considering this option. Gladiator maybe.
@@EFRT I was about to say, get a gladiator. But wait for the diesel.
Gladiator with a GFC camper in the back! :) OR AT Habitat.
Maybe a kids jeep?
Rolland Lawrenz - Yes. They want a Gladiator. We’ll see. 👍🏻❤️🚙
So how do work the bathroom for five adults out there? Don't think my wife and kids would be up for that part 😂
Dustin Juell - we have a separate privacy tent made by CVT with a portable toilet. Will try and get a video out to show how that all works. We also put into a campground every once in a while for hot showers and laundry.
