I have a question if you can possibly answer for me. I went to a shop recently looked at a press 1998 6c 102 Heidelberg speedmaster that was installed without reinforced concreate being poured. I was told the installer did a core test and the concreate was 9 inches thick. My concern was if the press will stay properly leveled? There are cracks on the outside flooring around the press and unevenness of the floor.

The minimum recommended should be around 12 inches but if the floor is 9 and it is good it should be OK. It is simple to check: Put the level in all the ink fountain rollers or on the transfer cylinders and put the level in the cast iron wall between units to check leveling in the other direction. If it is OK, it should be fine. If it is not, then you have to check by how much and check periodically to see if it keeps increasing. If it is within tolerance and remains stable no need to do anything. The main risk is the extra pressure on the gears which can cause fractures, etc. But that will be the extreme case.
