Unreal...I've been playing AJ's other tracks...magnetic to listen to...very clean tech...and perfect timing...I played guitar for many years but damaged my left hand in an accident.... Andy.... I look on in awe mate!!!!
Too damn good to be so young. I've been playing longer than Andy has been alive, and I can't even begin to fathom his speed and accuracy. -Jealous Much
Big fan and a die hard follower of Andy.... Very deadly guitarist. I give you full honor of your talent. Comparing his previous compositions.... This one is week in melody arrangement.
Hairband, i use this too, helps reduce background noise, or buzz, just to help you hear the notes yours actually playing just that little bit clearer, really helps when using alot of distortion or overdrive.
I visited worlds greatest music show called "Musikmesse" in Frankfurt, Germany. He played a few times at the ESP show room. At the end of the show I asked him for a sign on my shirt and about some things I wanted to know. I also met Michael Angelo Batio there for a sign ;)
there are actually thousands, you just need to find them. public doesn't promote real music much so theres alot that just don't go anywhere with their talents but every now and the you find this guy thats got like 10 000 views and has just amazing musical abilities
@Clefty09 A hairband of some description to mute any string noise that might be generated by accidentally hitting an open string when soloing. Really helps play more cleanly. I think Marty Friedman does the same thing.
One thing i've noticed about andy is that he's not really nu metal in the vein of kirk hammet, dave mustaine. He doesn't chugg on a single note just for the rhythm effect. I guess to be more precise I am referring to the playing style similar to fear factory. I call the nu metal but I'm probably wrong
His self titled album? Not sure, that might have been ESP, but him switching amps really changed his tone. The JP sounds better than an ESP unplugged, more expensive woods. . . both have their pros and cons though
Yeah suh 0:54 He uses his pinky. But the reason it's so strong is because of his Britishness. When they drink tea it is up in the air. Holding it up in the air for 45 minutes everyday will make your pinky as strong as makopuka's biceps muscle. Left of Right Biceps?
His pinky is doublejointed, he doesn't like to use it, so what most people use pinky for he uses ring finger just as well, why his shred sounds stronger
hm i wouldnt say they are way better... but i personally would choose a JP over an ESP any day (but i play ibanez guitars exclusively :P). however, i think he doesn`t sound really good here.. maybe it has nothing to do with the guitar but more with the amp being used and the mixing but i really think it sucks a bit :P
Wow. . .so that's what 5% of his pinky's potential sounds like. . . .I should avoid wondering what full use of his whole hand sounds like until I get and adult diaper on, HOLY SHIT!
That intro riff is killer imo, sounds so cool. And I don't mind the more "digital" sound.
I can't get that riff out of my head, it's so addictive
been watching alot of your videos here on youtube great music and playing mr james i enjoy trying to play your riffs

What a sick track. That riff will stay with me for a long time.
Awesome Andy!!! I am learning a lot of guitar skills from you. Thanks a million for everything
Big fan and a die hard follower of Andy.... Very deadly guitarist. I give you full honor of your talent. Comparing his previous compositions.... This one is week in melody arrangement.
I don't believe there are too many out there, the old great jammers included that can shred like Andy. Dude is absolutely amazing!
Hairband, i use this too, helps reduce background noise, or buzz, just to help you hear the notes yours actually playing just that little bit clearer, really helps when using alot of distortion or overdrive.
Gotta hand it to ya Andy, how you stayed calm and collected, and resisted smashing and setting fire to that amp I'll never know.

I could imagine some really badass lyrics/vocals to go with that badass rhythm section.
beginning has early in flames feeling, love it :D
You're amazing Andy! your technique is impressive!
he's one of my new favorites. on the list!
best song so far ive heard from this dude
there are actually thousands, you just need to find them. public doesn't promote real music much so theres alot that just don't go anywhere with their talents but every now and the you find this guy thats got like 10 000 views and has just amazing musical abilities
There is a part that i swear is in pantera's walk solo at 2:58-3:02 but Andy makes it sound mental like malmsteen meets petrucci
Yehe, I talked to him yesterday. He's AMAZING!!!
it’s been 11 years since this video. that tone is just… unique. i miss this the AJ of the era…
@michaelbryant21 You can find them at any supermarket. That thing is a hair band, one of those things you use to make yourself a ponytail.
1:50 is my favorite part
All I wanna say is "The Boy Can Play"!! Totally Awesome Guitar Shredding!!!
amazing !!!!!!

It's almost impossible to tell but check 02:41. Pinky force applied. Badass mode initiated.
Volume could've been a little better, but anyway's another good video

@WilliamCox48 Agreed, he's absolutly among the best of the best!

YOUR A GOD! Mr James....TEACH ME OWE WISE FINGER
Best job ever.
you know its a good video when there is only one dislike after over a year of being up
exactly!
If AJ had PG's pinky he would conquer the entire musical world!
ha ha, fucken oi. since my first time listening to perpetual burn he's been my favourite guitarist.
Andy James and Herman Li ought to be two of the best guitarists in UK.
Björn Johnzon Dont forget about John 5, and Paul Gilbert
*guthrie govan* !!!
Dude you kilt it man, teach me how to solo!!!!
@XxISpeeddemonIxX lmao! then a kid from the crowd caught it, his name...was Eddie...Eddie Van Halen

yes he does :D 0:56
@RodrigoSpelz just to hear it again ;)
For the 1 millionth time YES HE DOES, why does everyone keep saying that?!?!?! Watch around 1:00 and tell me he's not using his pinky
fucking epic!!!!!!
One thing i've noticed about andy is that he's not really nu metal in the vein of kirk hammet, dave mustaine. He doesn't chugg on a single note just for the rhythm effect. I guess to be more precise I am referring to the playing style similar to fear factory. I call the nu metal but I'm probably wrong
also i think the JP was used on his previous album...?
knowing that this video had to end ,is one of the miseries in life!!
@michaelbryant21 Noise supressor. Simple and effective.
ok thanks bro!! But yeah I Love the way Steve Vai plays it!- maybe it's because I'm biased and consider him the God of guitar :P
this video was for demonstration purposes
+AssChavez still ... it's really amazing
exactly.
2:36 building the church by VAI :)
Does anyone have tabs for this???? I can't figure it out the intro for my life for some reason, and there's no tabs anywhere for this song!
men tocas esa guitarra una chimabaaaaaaaaa¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
His self titled album? Not sure, that might have been ESP, but him switching amps really changed his tone. The JP sounds better than an ESP unplugged, more expensive woods. . . both have their pros and cons though
Wow
3:00
Nod to Guthrie Govan.
His strings look like a super light gauge dont they??
Yeah suh 0:54 He uses his pinky. But the reason it's so strong is because of his Britishness. When they drink tea it is up in the air. Holding it up in the air for 45 minutes everyday will make your pinky as strong as makopuka's biceps muscle. Left of Right Biceps?
Where can i find the backing track? please help
yeah he dose watch the fast parts
2:32 ok buddy
It's a very determined, and a little frightened, slug.
Uh no. The creator of that technique was Akira Takasaki from Loudness
Where did you talk to him?
where can I learn this tune?
what is that around the neck of the guitar < not a capo is it ?
how jealous do you have to be in order to dislike this. -.-
OOHHH SNAP
i wanna try to record my songs...
i wanna do this as a job
His pinky is doublejointed, he doesn't like to use it, so what most people use pinky for he uses ring finger just as well, why his shred sounds stronger
Indonesia hadir....
whats that on fret 1?
How can I purchase this song?
I've always liked the tone of music man guitars yet i've never tried to buy one
That's because the price is higher than a giraffes pussy. Besides, it won't make you a better guitar player.
hm i wouldnt say they are way better... but i personally would choose a JP over an ESP any day (but i play ibanez guitars exclusively :P).
however, i think he doesn`t sound really good here.. maybe it has nothing to do with the guitar but more with the amp being used and the mixing but i really think it sucks a bit :P
He does use his pinky.
Backing track?
If i had an 8-ball... 10 cases of Red-Bull and his fingers... I still couldn't do this...
You could . I you know were a mega boss.
why the hell this song end??
the exact guitar he is playing in this video is on ebay right now for £1500! omg, anyone wanna but my left ball? or right, i dont even care
ah ah do hora
Wow. . .so that's what 5% of his pinky's potential sounds like. . . .I should avoid wondering what full use of his whole hand sounds like until I get and adult diaper on, HOLY SHIT!
2:33 maybe a little vai inspired? nice
Ya he uses his pinky when he needs to like on long reaches.
What is the exactly model of your guitar?
+Simon Chevrier can u say the exact model?
+Паша Джавадов JP6
+Паша Джавадов without the piezo
+Adrian Flatley but still with active system?... I like the sound of active pickups, but hate that in 2016 a battery is needed! A battery, Carl!
+Adrian Flatley btw, does a fucking tremolo exist on this model? Thanks in advance!)
