I’ve literally listened to Hiding Place 100 times beginning to end since it was released.. but when I first heard Soul’s Anthem? I swear I cried like I’ve never cried before. And I’ve cried a lot over the years due to depression, mental illness, lost love, pain etc. But the way Tori had me crying was a good cry for the first time. That’s how shook I was. So yes! This album and this song especially shook me to my core.

My reaction was exactly the same when I first heard this beautiful beyond words song. This is the kind of music we need these hard times - this is the music that gives us hope that everything will be well ( ‘ It is well with my soul’ ). I’m moved by Tori’s beautiful angelic vocals and the vocals of that gospel choir. I wish I could sing like Tori. This is my favorite song from her gospel album Hiding Place. You should also react to the live version of this song. There were only three choir singers and Tori and they sounded AMAZING ! I wish people to listen to these kind of music because it’s meaningful, soulful and deep. And beautiful beyond words. Thank you for your reaction 😍
