    Lithuania is not very random language it is the very ancient one even predates the English (Language of Angels and Language of Spells)
    Lithuania language originated from Indo -European ( Sanskrit )

    • @shemica16
      @shemica16 4 ปีที่แล้ว +33

      Noo, both Sanskrit and Lithuanian originated from same proto-language. Our ancestors lived somewhere in between Europe and India, the two periferals and that is why it's called Indoeuropean. It's just some speakers went West (to Europe) and some speakers went East (to India). Sanskrit and Lithuanian language had no contact. They are similar because both languages didn't deviate much from the proto-language.
      Oh, and also Lithuanian is the only living language of the two.

    I think the reason why we Lithuanians appear kinda cold is because the older generations grew up under the soviet thumb and learned to be very cautious and not trusting because honesty wasn't really popular back then, so when they became parents they passed down their wisdom to the gen Y and Z.

    As a Lithuanian the connection to nature and the pagan roots is spot on, this was heavily intensified by the soviet deportations.
    When the deportee's or their families came back, in order to make sure that the future generations would survive a lot of families continued to teach even the current gen Z/X generations how to farm, pick mushrooms, prepare drinking water, make jams, navigate in nature, what do to if you encounter wild animal and etc. Basically everything you would need to live and respect nature normally, and for you to be prepared if the country is occupied again your family would know how to survive.
    Also, we love nature - not sure why. But if you go to the forest or field and breath in the air, you feel like a part of the nature. Especially if you do it in the forest, we even call the forest animals brothers and sisters.

    I have to say one thing. Almost every person thinks that in lithuanian Lietuva means the land of rain. Actually, it is made from a lithuanian word ,,lieti'' that means put together or mix. And it was named that way because many native tribes in baltic territory were put into one country, Lithuania. Our great duke Gediminas did that. He order all the dukes to put all their lands together to form one country, to protect from the enemies.

    • @justinasklimasauskas3666
      @justinasklimasauskas3666 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      it's not really known where the name Lietuva came from one explanation is from "land of the rain", the other one is as you said then there is a theaory it came from leitis, leičiai (Warrior, warriors - a social gruop of worriars subordinate to the Lithuanian ruler or the state itself), meaning Lietuva - worriors here.
