Sorry but second generation paved the way internationally (SNSD particularly) and first generation, BoA, saved South Korea from financial turmoil, literally. BP/BTS only made K-Pop mainstream but they didn’t pave the way.
@matjb Sorry, but I have to disagree. 2nd generation DEFINITELY helped kpop but on Asia. BTS paved the way international near 2018 or 2016 and blackpink also helped in this project. My opinion no hate to SNDS they are amazing but not well known international.
