i have PDS 1000 that won't play the floppy disks. Can the PDS 1000 be repaired or is there a replacement for it?
    Thanks

How do you copy and format the floppy disks to the USB flash drive?

To move the MIDI files from a floppy to a drive, you're gonna need a floppy reader. Sometimes it'll be as easy as copying them over, other times you'll need a program. Other times still, your player system will require their own special MIDI files. It really depends on the system. Reach out via email if you're still having trouble. Brendan is our in-house player expert, and he's pretty good about finding solutions to those sorta issues!

My church has this piano and recently bought this emulator. Our goal is to take music from a CD and convert it to a MIDI file or whatever so that the piano will play the song. We have our entire hymnal on CDs, and hoped we’d be able to choose the hymns we wanted for Sunday and get the piano to play them. We are doing something wrong, however, because the piano cannot find and execute the file to play. Any idea what we need to do? Thanks!

The piano at the church is an early generation Disklavier.

I wonder if this can work with a Bluetooth USB connector?? You know send mid files with Bluetooth with your phone

No, not this one. There are some player piano systems that'll work with Bluetooth MIDI, and there's an app to control it too. But yeah, this particular model only works with the flash drive.

@@familypianoco Is there a midi input in the back?

Do you happen to sell USB with files already on them? I have the 128 (not the +) and just ordered the emulator you have. I’m not good with computer files and such; and unsure where to (or how to) find music for my piano. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated

Same position please let us know if you can share the location of where the files can be found or if you are selling the USB?

Are you able to use any random midi file from the internet, or do you have to copy the midi files from the floppy?

Technically, any MIDI file needs to be formatted as SMF-0, the original format, which allows only 1 track. Very easy for the computer to interpret, because all the notes should be played on the piano. Later, they introduced SMF-1, which confusingly enough, allows multiple tracks (multiple instruments), which confuses the poor little PDS-128+. Most MIDI sequencing software allows you to change it over. Personally, I paid a couple bucks for GNMIDI software, which is ugly but works well. Hope this helps!
