本曲以混聲四部的純人聲無伴奏方式呈現，為情感真摯又琅琅上口的合唱小品。歌詞包含三段詩句，於每一段歌詞之前，以固定的吟唱旋律作為序曲，歌詞內容分別描述「流浪迷惘」、「呼召」以及「回歸」；唱到第三段「回歸」段落時，更加入獨唱者演唱較為激昂的曲調，增添踏上歸途的豐沛情感。最後，又回到那段悠然的吟唱旋律，緩緩為這趟路途劃上休止符。
