The Trio changed my life I've been creating songs with mine for over 2 years and haven't even scratched the surface of its capabilities...My band is always there for me ready to play : )
I heard that DigiTech were basically "undead" under Harman ownership for about five years and continuing to make their old products but not developing any new ones. But they were purchased by Cort-Tek recently which will allegedly improve the chance of new guitar pedals, updated versions, etc coming out eventually.
Thanks for getting back, yeah I have the trio plus, but had heard that you could loop your own bass lines, haven't got that far yet, having to much fun , just jamming with it ! Thanks
Yes you can loop your own bass lines, but it's you playing the bass that can be added to the guitar loop part. I do that on occasion....using the simplified bass part and adding to it with my own. Hope that helps.
@@RockHardRiffs thanks for getting back so fast , by the way ,do you think you could do a , in depth overview, on building a song, with parts, would really appreciate it! Thanks again

Hi Dan. I have no experience with the Boss pedal, but of course they make great products. All I can say is the Trio far exceeds any expectations I might have had. It's a fantastic pedal.

You don't....it does. You play and it interprets its own bass line. You can simplify it though with the 'Simple Bass' button (between bass and drum volume knobs). You could also try and 're-teach' the unit to see if it comes up with a different bass line and/or beat.
You could teach it your riff and record a bass guitar on the looper channel. Then turn down the bass volume knob.

Even though it has some mistakes, I still love it, I even used it on stage. It has a very bad side and I could not fit a company like Digitech. It is a shame for Digitech that there is no intro combination (drum) for the song ending or beginning! And why did they restrict the tiny SD card with 12 songs, at this point, the technology did not suit it at all. It is also necessary to practice to change the SD card on stage. ))) Anyway, thnx for the video. ;)
Is there any other pedal on the market that has this Band creator functionality? I know the BOSS RC-10R is similar but doesn't have the bass line. What your thought on the RC-10R?
Hey there Greg. This was copied from their instruction manual: "Up To 12 Songs With Loops Can Be Stored To A microSD Card (Included)" I hope this helps!
Hi JammerGreg, I'm a big Trio user, but don't gig with it. I originally bought to save backing tracks to it so that when my guitar friends came over, we had a bit of a rhythm section to play with, and it's very good for that purpose...but...you can only save 12 songs, and getting the microSD card out of the slot with fat guitar fingers is very hard. So, I started getting used to recording the rhythm section direct from the Trio into Cubase, and the quality is surprisingly good. Once it's in Cubase, I can do stuff like add an intro, add an outro, add any funny time signature bars (like a 5/4), etc. What I then do, is copy the track to my TASCAM where I can store stacks more songs, have better vision of the songs, move around them easier, etc. I use a 1/8th inch lead to go from the TASCAM to my bass amp, which has an AUX plug for the purpose, and once again, the sound is not too bad, so that's how I get round the limited storage in the Trio.
The best way I can explain this is that it came well after dirt....lol! In truth, I hadn't heard of this thing til not all that long ago either and man how I love it. Didn't you go look at loopers a while ago? And did you get your license back?
@@RockHardRiffsYes, I actually did, thanks. On Tuesday I phoned the Department of Transportation and they said that my license was never suspended. Best thing about the bass (and the drums) is using the footswitch in 'Mixer' mode to mute one or both whilst jamming or playing live, really adds that 'tight band' feel and improves timing no end.
