Water baptism is still us trying to do something to achieve holiness or a works of the flesh to make us one with Christ Jesus. When all that is required is to place our faith exclusively in the finished work of the cross of Christ Jesus and in that alone, lest we make the cross of Christ of none effect, by doing something to achieve an end result. Baptism of the Holy Spirit and faith in the finished work of the Cross is the prescribed order of victory over the World, the Flesh, and the devil. Nothing else will do..
@@stevenjames1951 And still you have to get baptized in water anyway because we're called to it. Don't tell people "believing" is enough when it says otherwise in Scripture.

There is nothing symbolic or ritualistic about baptism but it’s being initiated into Jesus Jesus Christ body by the Holy Spirit using other believers 1 Corinthians 12:13. There are no symbols or rituals or altars in the New Testament. The Last altar is the Calvary altar to finish all sacrifices. Likewise the Lords Supper is not symbolic but participating in Jesus body and blood 1 Corinthians 10:16-18. We all need the second birth. The first birth we break the birth waters and the second birth is born of the spirit into Jesus body and Jesus filling us with His Holy Spirit Luke 3:16 and John 3:3

@@stevenjames1951 the Bible is clear that it is for remission of sins and puts us in Christ, how we are buried with Him in baptism. Romans 6:1-6. Christ died for us, we can't save ourselves but we do have to come to Him and part of that coming is baptism. The Ethiopian Eunuch in the book of Acts went away rejoicing AFTER he had been immersed. Like this preacher said... why do we ignore Christ's words?!?!?! Men didn't say it, God did.
All water baptisms in the Jewish oracles were in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins not one trinitarian water baptism is ever recorded and the holy scriptures.See Acts2:38,8:16,10:48,19:5,22:16. Romans 6:4" buried with him" not them!
This man is so mixed up. No one is saved unless he is baptized in the name of Jesus and filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues. Acts 2:38, Romans 8:9, John 3:3-5, Luke 24:45-49. Galatians 1:8.
@@geraldritchey6382 Wow, you take one verse out of context to make your point. In mentioning 1. Cor 12 you have disproved your initial comment, because speaking in tongues is one of the gifts of the Spirit, and no one receives all these gifts at the same time, according to that same passage. Every believer has faith like in "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" Hebrews 11: 1 The gift of faith goes deeper. A good read can be found here en.m.wikibooks.org/wiki/Hebrew_Roots/The_original_foundation/Faith So, again, where does it say that speaking in tongues is a requirement for salvation? None of the verses you mentioned in the beginning say that.

Nope, speaking in tongues is not one of the requirements to be saved. Paul said it's a spiritual gift.
