    Got all the exterior pieces printed for this so far. Will make the maze insert tomorrow then assemble it (so stoked). Gotta say, the detail on the tower itself is amazing. It looks great and you were right about how it could simply be mistaken for a decoration. Makes it that much better! Well done sir. Made all your Halloween bobbleheads and displayed them at my job and tons of customers are loving them! Keep up the great work man. I look forward to your videos every single time one releases 😎

  • @RCPlaneAddict

    Great model. So quick question I printed the model on my Anycubic Vyper and everything was way too tight to assemble. Your model just slid together without resistance. Any suggestions?

    • @3DPrinty
      @3DPrinty  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There's a chance that the parts are only too tight near the bottom of each part, due to a printing issue called "elephant's foot". If that's the case, increasing your z-height a bit to reduce the initial squish can help. If the problem is with the entire height of the part, I'd try reducing your print temperature (unless you are already printing as cool as the filament permits). The last option is to reduce your extrusion multiplier slightly.
      I've uploaded looser versions of the maze inserts if we're lucky and that's the only part that's giving you trouble. Good luck!

      @RCPlaneAddict ปีที่แล้ว

  • @jamesalarcao

    The tower does not enter the maze hard aligning the larger window, I verified that it is the only one that presents this difference. I can't fit the tower into it. Can you hekp me?

    • @3DPrinty
      @3DPrinty  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Correct! The hard maze is extra tricky... and one of the tricks is that the exit is offset. To put it back together, make sure that the front of the tower is facing the front of the base. Then push the slider back and forth until you work your way into the first track :)

    • @3DPrinty

  • @ahtah23
    @ahtah23 ปีที่แล้ว

    I enjoy your prints; toggle buttons, Braille Peg Cell, bobble heads. However I'm a novice with a Neptune 2 and many of the prints that I make of yours have too tight of clearance. Sanding off 2 or 3mm all the way around the inside of the top and body before anything can grind together is not helpful. This is not the first of your designs that was tighter than a rusty vice(Spring Latch). PLEASE in the future put a little more clearance for parts that move past or around each other.

    • @3DPrinty
      @3DPrinty  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Glad you like the designs!
      I've uploaded an optional loose version of the tower body that may work better for your printer. The loose version has double the default clearance. Any looser than that and we run into problems with the maze, which is only 1mm deep.
      If this is a frequent issue, I recommend printing some clearance tests to further tweak your print profiles. This could be caused by over extrusion, elephant's foot, surface imperfections, or even printing temps that are just a bit too high.
      While I try to provide alternate clearance options where suitable, I don't plan to change my default clearances on future designs. There just isn't a perfect clearance for everyone. My only real option is to use what works best with the printers I have on hand.
