Prof Wangari Maathai RIP. If the road is constructed without following very strict guidelines that allow the forest to flourish , we will see monumental destruction of that forest in less than 2 yrs. The road should be constructed BUT let environmetalists and engineers sit and agree. If the road will be constructed without some guidelines I foresee the "end" of aberdares.

When we had shamba system in the aberdares , all our streams dried up. Watu wa Dedan Kimathi were being given relief food. When shamba system was closed by the late prof our streams came back and there was no relief food.
