    Isn't that obvious? Are people still questioning this in 2018? I mean are they still people who don't know this yet?

      Yeah, & they have nothing but ultra processed food. There is a fallacy in the US that all that matters is getting enough calories, the body will do the rest. Likely the same people that didn't take Covid seriously & love Trump.

      The problem is that everyone believes meat is also unhealthy. So where does that leave you, fruit and fking vegetables. So basically starve yourself. And for whatever reason, people are more terrified of red meat than UPF. Lmao it’s a fking joke really. Same clown, different show.

    Pre-cooked ham is boiled in sealed plastic. You're eating plastic residue along with each bite of ham.

    A lot of people get cancer and a whole lot of people consume an unhealthy amount of refined carbs and unhealthy fats, but correlation doesn't imply causation.

    • @sephirofl3503
      @sephirofl3503 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree with the last part, though. Unhealthy people need to cut their refined carb intake, consume more complex carbs and find a good balance between proteins and healthy fats from sources such as fish and/or nuts and olive oil.

    Surely such a study could identify specific ingredients that cause cancer. "Processed" is a very rough guide.

    We knew that already here in the US. Eat fresh and buy the raw ingredients to make your own foods from scratch. I do, and love to make my own! The same with making my own natural soap, shampoo, detergent, etc where I control what goes into it.

      Processed still has fertilizer? So that and more

    • @robertktw
      @robertktw 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      be sure to wash fruit and veggies before eating; wash with plenty of water and soak in 1/2 water and 1/2 vinegar for a bit, then rinse off. it is not just fertilizers, but also pesticides too!
      in addition to diet, be sure to exercise too! aerobic exercise like speed walking (low impact). no need to do super duper olympic or ultra marathon workout, but just to get the heart pumping for about 30 mins, 5 day out of the week.

    Are Kraft cheese slices considered Ultra processed or just processed anyone know?

    • @danniaddams5502
      @danniaddams5502 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I honestly wouldn't even consider them cheese.

    • @humanonearth1
      @humanonearth1 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually I don't see how aged cheese would be processed any more than fresh. It's just aged for flavor. I doubt the ingredient list includes any preservatives or processed ingredients.

    • @humanonearth1
      @humanonearth1 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it may just fall into the processed category. As it is "processed" cheese product. But ultra processed, what qualifies for that? Is there a established standard definition? Would be helpful for the story to provide that.

      Yes but also, prisoners don’t have to deal with same amount of stress that we deal with everyday like paying bills/taxes/unexpected expenses, traffic, caring for family, & other responsibilities that causes us to eat fast or unhealthy food or that causes lack of interest in exercising.

    I’m getting a bit tired of naturopaths concluding from their client base what is good for all of us. If the majority of cancer patients are sedentary, overweight and don’t care what they eat, slight lifestyle improvements will put them into remission. That’s useless advice for the rest of us.

    in order to avoid cancer it seems like a person has to give up basically all the comforts and privileges of modern first world life. what is the point of living a longer, cancer free life in a modern first world society if you don't get to enjoy any of it?

    It is odd that life expectancy has increased from the time my grandparents lived and they were not exposed to processed food. It would be interesting to know what dietary factors or eating habits contributed to shorter lives just over a hundred years ago.

    • @darthporkius

      It is very likely that most of us have cells that have mutations in them. But our bodies can sort them out by destroying them. When our bodies can't handle the amount of mutated cells or when they are not recognized, we get cancer.
