This is awesome to be alive and see the beginning of another revolution in the making. Over the next 50 years robots will be developed much like computers. The household robot market is huge! Lots of seniors, disabled people and busy families will be the initial customers. In the near future household bots will be as common as cellphones are today.
Now all that Samsung needs to do is add another arm and mount it on Boston Dynamics Spot and program it to actually wash the dishes with it's hands and they'll have a winner! I quit using or buying dish washing machines 10 years because what's the point if you have to wash the dishes before you put them in the dishwasher.
0:54 if that fly out was wireless flying drone screen... That would be crazy.. Like if the screen flies around following you at eye level and once you done with the call it flies back to robot body
That would be great because angles for conference calls are important. Additionally it could free you from having to sit at a desk. Many like to pace and talk during meetings.

Eh, it doesn't bother me anymore. Everything is interconnected now a days anyways. A robot wouldn't make things that much different imo. Our cell phones are basically small robots. And we carry them everywhere

I pay my cleaning lady 600 a month for twice a week, she does everything, so it's 7200 a year, assuming this basic robot will cost 20-30k I'll stick to the cleaning lady
I came to a similar conclusion, but this is just the first model. 10 years from now I can see a robot like this selling for around 5-6,000 dollars and it'll be totally worth it.
@@dominicgunderson i think in 10 years it needs to be $1500, then it will be in every house, the robotics here are very simple, shouldn't be more the $30 in parts, it uses the same cameras and sensors as their "POWERbot" that retails for $250, the only real cost here is probably the ai software development
@T.A. Garcia yeah but with one arm and very limited, can it fold the laundry and put it in my closet? Can it make the beds? Can it go upstairs? NO! Not there yet
Very cool but I hope they have safeguards to prevent malicious remote takeovers. The same robot that puts away your groceries could pick up a handgun and kill you in your sleep.
Thats why you're suppose to keep your gun in a safe. Robot. Child, pet or anyone can get hurt with discarded weapons. Its not the robots fault for your stupidity
Close, no wait... _not_ so close, so no cigar. Not exactly "almost human" is it? :P I'll wait for the version with 10% more love than the next leading brand.
the future is now!. just tell me which model can chill beer and roll joints. i want to say to my phone; Bot Handy, bring me a cold one and a doobie the take the garbage out before you put the dishes away.
The tech is neat, but please *PLEASE* stop trying to make it be my friend and giving it crappy 80s SciFi LED eyes. I don't need a robot friend, or something that tries to emulate being human. Just do the damn dishes and laundry. I don't want to strike up a conversation with my Roomba, thanks.
And here comes the dumbing down. But people like doing things for themselves... manual, time consuming tasks. Although... yeah it can do the dishes for me. Hang on... isn't that called a dishwasher. Wall-Eeeeeee

Samsung: These are designed around you
Also Samsung: that’ll be $22,000
22000 is cheap for a robot
Robot dogs cost 75k and robots that are more useless than this cost like 35k
that's cheap for a ROBOT BUTLER.
That cheap tbh. Spot costed 75K.
That’s worth it especially during this lockdown
Always that guy who brings up high cost of new tech!!
Howard Wolowitz finally got the robot he wanted- Handy
Ya te imaginarás cuántos accidentes como ese habrá 😂😂 you can imagine how many accidents like that there will be😂😂
But how does Handy wash his hand?
Indian families happy they found the ideal bride for marriage.
🤣🤣🤣
I wanna buy 1
🤣🤣🤣 oh my goodness
That's so right.
But can it run Crysis?
It's all good until handy grabs a knife
Most people already have ridiculously expensive, mindless robot slave dishwashers that they see as extensions of themselves. They call them "kids."
you can only use them for 19 years tho
