As for flashlight, yeah you have to play it until you memorize the map if its a high AR one, if its not, you can see the approach circles closing in.

The trick is learning how to map all of that input straight to the back of your brain where everything is processed autonomously. And that means that you cannot really consciously think through what you're doing.

Just started playing osu! a couple days ago and when I saw maps like that I was like HOLY SHIT how can a human click that fast and do this!? I don't care how good or how long you've played, those circles move faster than any mouse..... but then I saw they were using bamboo tablets and now everything makes sense.

All my best plays are sightread runs. People don’t really memorize the maps unless it’s flashlight.
