Have I been watching too much Behavior Panel? At Christmas dinner I bowed my head and accidentally said, "The organism does what makes the organism successful. Amen."
@@louannzink4292 I was thinking the same thing. I associate sudden danger associated with 'going cold ' His lawyer likely knew that he was going to say this. I can't imagine that she couldn't have devised a series of questions which would have elicited a less damning portrayal of his experience of the series of events. The events themselves are already damning: the only wiggle room he has lies in the nuances of the circumstances, his perception of them, and resulting state if mind.
I live in Vermont so I have been following this case on the news, and on line. If I were his defense attorney and I saw his testimony on the stand, I would walk over to the prosecutor and say "Take him, he yours". I don't know how you can defend someone like this who is clearly making the story up as he goes. Thankfully, the jury saw him for what he was.

I think she was muttering because he beat the crap out of her or hurt her prior to the "walk" and when he came back from the "walk" (which was probably him leaving in a panic because he knew he hurt her) and she was genuinely muttering when he came back. And I think he was perplexed that she was still alive when he came back, which might be why he didn't care or didn't have the capacity to care why she was muttering or what she was muttering. I think that memory and confusion might have been so profound in the moment that the exact same feeling pops back up for him while he's on the stand. He's remembering what she looked/sounded like, and he's feeling that panicked confusion with her still being alive upon his return. I think that's when he killed her. He can't remember the script while replaying what he did in his mind. He's not capable of ignoring his memory and speaking at the same time.
Scott mentioned that he didn't think the man cared. I agree. Normally suspects distance themselves from mentioning the victims name. Mentioning their name is usually a sign of care. However, the suspect has no issue mentioning his wife's name several times and I think this is because he doesn't care enough for it to hurt him.
Chase, I think the details around the Yankee candle has to do with the heft and size of the glass container. They are heavy. I am a candle enthusiast, but alas, not a candelist either😂. I took it to be an attempt by the attorney to describe her “weapon” and give him some credibility as to why he could perceive a threat.
I don’t know of ANY man who’s had to walk away during a physical fight with his wife only to quickly return and say “Are you ready to talk about it?” No WAY! His use of “we” only when referring to his obedient, dog ally comes across as an “us vs. her” mentality.
One, why would both people sleep with a gun under their pillow? I can understand why they would have a gun like in a place close to their bed in case they needed it, but not have a gun under their pillows
The final decision on testifying always lies with the client. If that client is a narcissistic know-it-all who thinks he can con any jury, nothing's going to stop him! 🤣
Okay, I have to share a story about my parents. One night, they had a huge fight. Mama decided she wanted to leave right then and there, but thought that Daddy should be a gentleman and call the cab for her. Daddy thought that if she wanted to leave, she could call her own cab. Neither of them would budge, and went to bed still arguing. The next morning, they made up and were happily married for more than 40 years until Daddy’s death. So, yeah, the argument over the Uber doesn’t sound so odd to me. 😂
It’s almost ALWAYS AGAINST the attorney’s advice! It’s this type of narcissistic client that insists being put on the stand cuz they’re so sure they can convince people. So then the attorney has to try to prep them but how do you prep someone with an absolute FLAT AFFECT - no emotion whatsoever??? It’s an uphill battle no attorney can really win.
I hide my face when I cry because I know I'm an ugly crier. My face gets all red and blotchy especially my nose. It's awful, but this is just awkward, uncomfortable to watch even. PS love that Scott called him a lizard, I about choked on my lunch 🤣
If I was on trial for murder, and I had nothing to do with the crime, I wouldn’t speak to the police, but I would remember everything when speaking to my attorney.
I wonder if he could talk slower. My mom used to do this fake cry, and when my dad ignored her she'd start to wail in this uber fake.sound. This guy's acting is worse.
Would you consider doing an analyst on Melody Farris during her trial sentencing speech. A lot of people believed her but she reminded me of a woman I grew up who I believe to be a narcissist. I would be very interested. Thanks for considering.
He says, "That's when it happened." Almost every parole hearing I've watched the offender says this! They detach themselves from "what I did" and distance themselves from what they actually did!
Thank you for this video and explaining it all!! The long details were so very painful yet his behavior was so telling! What a psychopath! I don't think He even understood his own reasonings. This is so perfect, criminals and their lawyers being stupid sure helps get a conviction. What in the world was they thinking? They put the nail in the coffin perfectly 😅😅😅😅
Often we feel or believe that we should be rewarded for our efforts or if we work hard we are entitled to some kind of success. This video is perhaps a great example to demonstrate that effort does not directly translate to results. Ive never seen someone try so so so so..... so so so ... hard to feel something and is just not winning at all. And in fact shows commitment ,while failing, to preserver and keep trying so hard. He fought a hard long war there trying to feel something...

I took it to be an attempt by the attorney to describe her “weapon” and give him some credibility as to why he could perceive a threat.
"There was punching...". In other words, he punched her.
He doesn’t even understand how bad his acting looks when he’s checking if everyone saw his ‘sadness’. I think he has a personality disorder
I saw a video of his x girlfriend claiming he tried to kill her too. She was also very young. He's a psychopath for sure! Poor Emily.
He goes from swatting her with a pillow and telling her, “no hitting” like a child to shooting her… right
That was my first thought. I would say “no more hitting” to my toddler.
I don’t know of ANY man who’s had to walk away during a physical fight with his wife only to quickly return and say “Are you ready to talk about it?” No WAY! His use of “we” only when referring to his obedient, dog ally comes across as an “us vs. her” mentality.
The best part of the trial was when it was the prosecutors turn - wish we'd seen more of this.
Agreed
Merry Christmas Gentlemen! Thank you for this. 😊
I wish y'all had done the Ferlazzo interrogation. He confessed in 42 seconds. But the interrogation was WILD.
One, why would both people sleep with a gun under their pillow? I can understand why they would have a gun like in a place close to their bed in case they needed it, but not have a gun under their pillows
This dude’s lawyer hates him, there’s no way an attorney would allow their client to testify when they speak and lie this horribly!
I talk to my dogs in full sentences 😂
He needs a moment to remember his lies
He really should not have taken the stand
…whyyyyyy did they put him on the stand??
I agree. He was digging the whole time! Jeez, very poor decision on the attorneys part
This defendant sounded/acted very guilty.
I hide my face when I cry because I know I'm an ugly crier. My face gets all red and blotchy especially my nose. It's awful, but this is just awkward, uncomfortable to watch even.
PS love that Scott called him a lizard, I about choked on my lunch 🤣
I'm exactly the same, particularly because I hate how snotty I get when crying. I mean, where the hell does it all come from?!!!
Although saying that, I don't believe he's crying lol
@@joclark224 agreed! I just meant some people do hide a bit when they are really crying, especially when it's unsightly 😅🙈
1M before the year ends!
Seasons greetings to The Behavior Panel and all of the Panelists 🎉
I can’t stop noticing that everyone raises their eyebrows when they take a drink now 🤦🏻♀️🤣
Not in California!😂Botox…
@ 🤣🤣🤣🤣
same! but I'm thinking we do it bc the mug limits our view when we drink and we compensate for it
If I was on trial for murder, and I had nothing to do with the crime, I wouldn’t speak to the police, but I would remember everything when speaking to my attorney.
So he was crawling over her, so that he could lay down, but also had his gun handy when she pulled her gun?🤔
He initially claims it was an act of self defense but later admits to dismembering her body? GULP 🥺
And he has history of abusing his young girlfriends
Melody Farris' sentencing statement please! You guys are amazing. Thank you!
Wow. He is a very bad liar!
Even if you closed your eyes you would be able to tell he was talking absolute codswallop.
He almost makes himself hyperventilate in order to look emotional
He is not doing himself a favour by getting on the stand...same dramateacher as Amber?
I wonder if he could talk slower.
My mom used to do this fake cry, and when my dad ignored her she'd start to wail in this uber fake.sound.
This guy's acting is worse.
Would you consider doing an analyst on Melody Farris during her trial sentencing speech. A lot of people believed her but she reminded me of a woman I grew up who I believe to be a narcissist. I would be very interested. Thanks for considering.
Yes! I watched that trial.. I would love to hear your thoughts.
You couldn't get more lost in the woods!!! You guys are so patient to have gone through this, thank you!
Merry Christmas to you all and have a Wonderful Holiday!! From an avid fan of yours, Stephanie 😊
Chase is always in a different room. The man needs roots😂🤣
Thank you guys 🥰
Liar, liar, pants on fire.
