    Just did mine last weekend - Charlie nailed it. If you remove that brace you can get to all but the driver side uppermost nut. For that one just put a deep 14mm socket with a 4” extension on the nut, then go from the top.
    No corrosion on mine so I didn’t even need a breaker bar, just the 1;2 drive ratchet.

    Hey man - couple of questions for ya. I have a '10 ex35 and I'm hearing a nasty rattle at idle which I'm convinced are the cats. I don't feel like paying to replace them and have a feeling a straight pipe might be cheaper, but are those sensors going to cause the check engine light to be on? Where I live we have this "drive clean" program which won't let you pass if check engine is on.

    • @fullthrottleperformance
      @fullthrottleperformance  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There're these spacers called fowler's I believe. They space out the sensors from the direct exhaust flow causing them to read less of the emissions. "Off road use only" lol I'm not responsible for your local or state emissions and bypassing them

But I hear like a rattle at the bottom right of the car like when it idles. My check engine light did came on and it mentioned a code P0420 and threshold bank 1. I just don’t want to go in a shop and get ripped off for a simple fix. Thanks

    What would you recommend for converters? I'm in California now and they just made a law against exhausts over 95dB. I have stock headers, converters, then an ebay exhaust setup past that. Can't even tell you what the brand is, HKS? It sounds like shit. I figure I want to replace everything past the headers (or should I use the eBay headers that came with the ebay kit that I never installed and install that)? Sorry this is difficult to word. I figure stock headers and a new ?converter? but I want performance while trying to stay under the legal limit + something new after all that. The reason I want to keep the headers and converters i because I'm sitting at 87dB at the limited RPM range of 2500RPMs. That is pretty close to 95 as it is and I was told keeping the headers and converters stock will allow me any exhaust past that to be used. Since I'm already down there, I'd like to replace the converters but just wondering if there is anything that is slightly better than stock. And if so, should I mix the brand with something else?

    • @fullthrottleperformance
      @fullthrottleperformance  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've heard that the Motordyne ART pipes have the best sound without the rasp of typical test pipes. But neither test pipes, or the ART pipes are street legal in Cali. I wanna go with the ART pipes as soon as I start the install of the Motordyne tdx2 exhaust system I'm putting on my Z. But berk hi flow cats are supposedly nice sounding while also offering some type of catalyst for the exhaust, but, also restricting the exhaust flow, even though it's not as much as stock.
