Same witgh me. Yes, the La Bellas are amazing and probably the best match to this bass. But there are many other brands that makes some good flats. At the moment, my green Fender is strung with Galli Sythesis flatwounds, the one and only flatwounds with synthetic core. Sounds great, too. Video with these strings coming soon...
thanks for this video - you helped me with the dilemma about La Bella flat wounds! wasn't sure since my 3-decade experience is with round wounds only. ready to put 760FS on my p-bass.
You're welcome. Great, that I could help find a decision. I think you won't regret it. If you are a roundwounds player for decades it could also be interesting for you to check out the Ernie Ball Slinky Cobalt Flatwounds. they are a little bit like a hybrid between flats and roundwound ;-) Best, Frowin
Hi, the color is Sweet Pea Green. A custom color in wich only two basses worldwide excist, as far as I now. Yeah, the matching headstock is the icing on the cake ;-)
Yes, I totally agree! I have a BB1025X that sounds very similar to my P-bass, too. It costed a fraction of my custom shop and the build quality is the same. Only the mid growl is a little more prominent in the Fender.
Hi, I am glad you like it! The PU is a Custom Shop '62 P-Bass. The bass has all the specifications of a '59 P-Bass except the neck width, wich is very thick '51 shape.
Hi, it is a "Direct In" Box (D.I.) with a xlr output to go directly into the audio interface for example. The Gnome is special because it has a tube circuit in it that gives warmth and saturation to the bass sound...
Hi, I am glad, you like it! The tension of this La Bellas are a little higher than the TI Jazz flats. I would say in the middle between standard roundwounds and the jazz flats. They are very smooth. Best, Frowin
Thank you! Yes, the strings were new, when I recorded this. The pickup and the bass are very direct and open sounding with lots of treble, especially when playing with roundwounds. For me at the moment this LaBella flats are the perfect match to this instrument. BTW: No EQ were used in the recording and the tone knob was full open...
@@FrowinIckler Hello, thanks for the answer. I've got this problem because I bought LaBella flats but they said they are not suitable for strings through body bases like my AM pro. But at the same time there are people ignoring this warning. Anyways great playing and sound
@@AdminAntitask Thanks for the compliments. Do you know that there is a string thru version of the LaBella 760 set? Look here: www.labella.com/product/760fs-tb/ Best, Frowin
Wow, that was some incredible playing. Now THIS is Funk ! I thoroughly enjoyed this. :D
Hi, thank you very much, I appreciate it a lot 😎
Great sound, and fantastic playing 👍
Thanks a lot!!
Just fitted La Bella low tension and love them.
Great! And now you won't need new strings for the next 20 years!
I have 20 year old strings on my ibanez, they are so stiff that it's hell to play lmao due for a change now
I have them on my Pbass as well and 5 years later they sound even better :)
I had learned about flat wounds 3 or 4 years ago, that's all I use now.
My first experience with flats on a pbass started a month ago...now I understand the hype about them all these years! Fantastic!
Same. Even regular guitars are getting flats now :-D
I don't even know what to say to that other than just WOW!!
Wow, thank you !!
Nice bass face! 🙂Flats are awesome!
Yes, I totally agree 👍🏻
About half of my basses now use Flats. And I'm slowly converting the remaining ones. La Bellas are great!

What is that color called? Nice with matching headstock as well.

A pbass with flat wounds is the best bass. I play a Yamaha BB with flats almost sounds same with this customshop😊

@@FrowinIckler who makes it? Where is it sold?

You can only buy it directly from the manufacterer.
Sounds terrific with these flats. Very full and fat. I like it a lot. What's the tension like, compared to say Thomastik Jazz flats?

@@FrowinIckler Thanks.
Sounds very nice and quite bright. Are the strings new or are the frequencies so pronounced because of the bass/pickup/EQ?

@@FrowinIckler Thanks. Yes, that's a really good match to this bass.
Haven’t seen you in years bro! Is this a new channel?
No, the channel is not new. But I started making constantly videos the last two years. Before it was more like a "sleeping" channel...
Did you route strings through body?
Hi!
No. The bass has a vintage bridge that is common for a '62 P-Bass.
