- Amazing fire and ice waterfall acrylic pour!
I had leftover paint from my previous tree ring pour so I decided to try out a waterfall pour! I was inspired by Julie Cutts and color palettes that she has used along with this technique. I used black, white, yellow, orange, magenta, blue and turquoise. After adding the base coat of paint, I put a small cup under one side of the canvas to prop it up. When pouring, gravity does all of the work and the design is pulled down the canvas! Gentle movement, swirl motion creates an amazing striated design in the paint while you are pouring! My husband called this one fire and ice! The waterfall pour is definitely a technique that I will be doing more of.

Did you mix any medium with colours?
Thank you! Yes I use Floetrol and water to thin the paints down.

Why is it that even though all the white is going to be used, it is poured into a different cup then layered with other colors? I see it all the time in pouring videos. I really want to know.
I assume it may be because each color is mixed with pouring medium and water individually and then all added to one cup for the actual pour? You may need to ask other artists.
What is the composition of your paint mix : what médium ,what proportions and what ?

I use many different pouring mediums, with these I used Liquitex pouring medium and water. About 2 parts medium to one part paint. Water until it is the consistency that I want for pouring.
