My childhood favourite song....1980 s is a golden era.....Runa Laila...Nazia Hassan....Anamika....Phalguni patak...etc..number of singers gave us such a musical hits
Listening to Superuna album songs after more than 35 years! I'd the LP record in the mid 1980s. I'd simply forgotten this 🎵 melodious Disco album 🎵. Just now remembered it and also downloaded all the songs. Now I am going to listen to it on a loop! Love the great combo of lovely Disco music by 🙏 Late Bappi Lahiri 🙏 and the lovely, melodious tone of Runa Laila! ❤
In 1984 when this album is first released, 1milion lp records and cassettes have been sold out. A unique combination of singer Runa laila and composer Bappai Lahiri, highly influenced by Biddu and Nazia Hassan. Now the question is why we are not getting such type of song and music today when technology is so advanced?
You need a lot of heart & soul to churn out such music. And more importantly, people who have the tastes to appreciate such beautiful music. In a world dominated by weird hindi rap music and Salman Khan singing on autotune, our pop music future doesnt look bright at all...
Pure nostalgic truly ❤ its beginning is much similar to Naazia Hasan's Disco Deewane title song , d album created by Biddu . Both albums r marvelous n did tremendous business all over d world. Beautiful upload thanx ❤️ luv u Bappi da 🙏
These songs are my sweet childhood. We had vinil with Disco Premee, Holiday, De De Pyar De Pyar De, Chalo Chalen, Romance, Pukaro O Kanha Tum, Suno Suno Meri Ye Kahani, Hello Hai, Haiya Hoo. I danced near the mirror and imagined myself to be great actrees. )))) When i listen to this songs i feel the air of my 12 years. )))))))))) 1985...
No words...just close my eyes and go back in time to those wonderful innocent days...with this smile on my face wondering what happened to this world...
Ranjit Tyagi--Alhamdullilah, I’m okay brother Ranjit. Aap kaisey hain? May you and your family be blessed with every imaginable and unimaginable bounties, Ameen. This comment was made 11 years ago by me-that’s crazy.
I have this LP, I often play this. Brilliant composition and nicely recorded in 24 tracks at Abbey Road London. I am from Kolkata, the rhythm guitarist was Tabun and Bass played by Madhu from my city
@Ranjit Tyagi Sorry to hear of your tragic loss. But life is this, indeed, never allows anything to remain static. The same Law of Nature will make our next generation gray one day too, when our term in this world will expire. Perhaps you remember those 1982-1983 days, when Lord Pancham started to fade away, and suddenly Bappi Lahiri got the Midas touch at that time. One after another Bappi Lahiri numbers were coming out and they were becoming toppers at the best sellers' chart. Himmatwala, Disco Dancer, and of course, our beloved Megastar's movie Namak Halaal, along with these non-film discographies (I still remember, there were those days, in the evening time (say, twilight time), our Calcutta Doordarshan used to show these Runa Laila songs i.e. "SUPERUNA" for a week or two). And alas, those golden days along with the-then stalwart superheroes like Amitabh Bachchan, and all these magical melodies, styles, Disco culture, glamour, beauties etc have gone forever
@Ranjit Tyagi Just the same here. I also cannot guarantee my kids that I am going to provide them a competition-free, tension-free world and hence, I've decided that for own physical pleasure, bringing more persons in this ruthless world is nothing but doing injustice to them. That's why I also stay bachelor. And I am happy with my old-day movies, old-day songs (of '70s and '80s) and old-day memories. I enjoy bachelorhood. So you were born in 1976, right? Then I am two years senior to you ha ha🤣🤣 (my birth year is 1974, in the month of October). Nice to meet you, Dear Mr Tyagi. And it's really a pleasure to know that I have found one more gentleman who just thinks alike.
@Ranjit Tyagi In the Instagram, I found so many people having the same name of yours. I get confused. I request you to find me (my name is not common among bengalis too) there (it is saved as mukherjeeaveekray, with my ugly eight years old photograph wearing a straw hat). Please search it, because I also don't want to lose this nice touch with you❤.
HI Super classic songs 15 years back all of these songs were my dearest unfortunately i lost the casset and by luck after somany years i am hearing again alone in my room, thank you very much
Fakir, it is the TH-cam who is keeping alive every treasure of the past including old songs and music. Just imagine a life without TH-cam! Where will we then find those songs? Nowhere...except may be in some rare shop or some rare private collection.
This is one of the best Indian pop album, though underrated. Music and singing are superb and peaceful. Chalo chale gives divine feeling. De de pyar de is unique.
Bappi da is so underrated. His contribution to hindi music is monumental. Growing up I only heard how he was a music chor. I look back and feel that was such an insult to his raw talent. ♥️ bappi da
Bappi Lahiri is indeed a great musician, composer and singer. His own creation like 'chalte chalte' is an evergreen song. He is really underrated. R.I.P Bappi Lahiri 🙏🙏
@@abhijitpal5305 Bappi gave massive hits to Amitabh though he worked in fewer films with him. While RD worked more with Amitabh and gave nowhere close to Bappi's hits.
Sir, biddu is biddu, even don't need a surname,I am also a blind music lover of Bappi uncle.but biddu is the man who introduced Indi pop in our country.
soma sarkar Dear friend small correction its Bappida who introduced Disco in India. Song is Mausam Hai Gane ka in the movie Suraksha which came in 1979. Biddu Sir's album came in 1980 called Disco Deewane.
CutySoma, you are damn right! It's Biddu who first introduced the Disco revolution in India and after that it was the great Bappi Lahiri who carried forward the Disco revolution.
Its so funny rigt after nazia hassans disco deewane in 1981, this album came after that music by bappi lahiri, no doubt both albums Disco deewane, and super Runa were huge success. Those glory days will never come, That era i just totally miss it.
this album takes me back to my childhood days..... still listen it till today in our philips turntable/lp/record player... rare album. its been more than 30 years and we still have the thing intact as new as ever.and love playing it all over again. my father's treasure.
First listen with my Pappa's "Technicques brand" music system in 90s... my room filled with amazing music... now I am 46 and my kid has no interest in music 😭 .They failed in finding time from their studies..😇
Hello Abhijit, You had mentioned the music director name as "Bappai Lahiri"- He is Bappi Lahiri and the Disco King on 80' s. Please note that when Biddu had made the album with Nazia Hassan of Pakistan- then we as an Indian should not sit idle. Bappi Da made this album with Runa Laila which was a super duper hit.
Music of this song of Bappi da seems to be inspired by 'Aag' by Biddu. Both were great but Biddu's songs were really foot tapping. Whereas Bappi da was innovative enough to keep churning out hit nos year after year.
colud any one upload these songs plzzzz???? Disco Premee, Holiday, De De Pyar De Pyar De, Chalo Chalen, Romance, Pukaro O Kanha Tum, Suno Suno Meri Ye Kahani, Hello Hai, Haiya Hoo
Nazia Hassan's unique style of singing, lyrics, music composition, created by two legend brother and sister was worthless, I can't believe that was copied by such a great singer and music composer. Runa laila should refuse to sing in that style coz she had her own credibility

Very Nice Your Song Run Laila Jee❤❤❤❤
The Mukhda of the song was copied by Rajesh Roshan for his song Disco 82 in the film Khuddar (1982)
Forget about film songs!!! Non filmi songs are well ahead of times. As a bengali miss you😘 BAPPI Da

Artistic bent of mind is not there now. Only commercial minds.
No, 1983
I haven't found promotional video of this album, can anyone suggest!
I still hv this cassette.
Super Runa Laila, gracias por hacer que nos guste la música hindú, años 80'.
what a stunning voice. Runa Laia and Nazia Hassan are the two most unique voices I have ever heard.
You May Have Forgotten Salma Agha !!!
Remind me of my childhood!
My dad had got a LP of this album and I used to listen to it all day :')

My father used to listen to her when I was very very young may be 3 years old. Surprisingly I remember this and I miss him more ❤️
Oh how i missed.this era of Hindi disco songs with my great memories working in Singapore n purchasing cassettes then!!!!
My childhood song...we had this song played a lot on our single casette tape recorder ❤ this generation won't even know 😂
No words...just close my eyes and go back in time to those wonderful innocent days...with this smile on my face wondering what happened to this world...
Takes me back down to memory lane. I was so little when I first started listening to her.

@Ranjit Tyagi It was played by my uncle (mamu) and aunts when we were kids in 80s. Sweet memories.
@Ranjit Tyagi Yes. All the best.
