Thank you very much for this video. I have a sign Arsenal football that my dad got me 15-20 years ago. Over the years the bladder has perished. I bought some tyre sealant. It didn't initially work, but worked after the 3rd time of putting it in. I can still hear the liquid inside, so prob put too much in, but that's fine as this is for displaying on my wall and not playing. Who knows it might dry up over time. You are a legend! ❤️
Super helpful video. I was stoked to repair my son's replica ball. Couldn't find a hobby syringe around here so after a little trial and error I got a little 10ml pharmacy plastic syringe (NZD 1, ~ USD0.60) which fit fairly well into my existing football inflation needle, got the sealant in with only a few drops spilled. For the sealant, used Stans Tyre Sealant which is available in the local bike store in 60ml size for NZD 6.00 ( ~USD 3.75), so the whole lot was under USD5 and seems to have worked a charm. Cheers.
Nope, for one the pump needle would just pierce it every time, secondly if that were an issue bike valves would have the same problem, thirdly this stuff only clots when exposed to the unpressurized air outside the ball.
Brilliant! - I bought 'hobby' syringes which have rounded needles which are better for the valve. The glue is extremely runny which means you can wash out the syringes and re-use them. Absolutely fantastic! About €3 cost to fix a ball - thanks!
No. Same way it doesn’t block the bicycle tires valve. Also this stuff doesn’t “dry” like the video says. It clots and it only does so when exposed to the unpressurized outside air. It will remain as a liquid inside the ball, it was made that way so when a puncture happens it can seal it. This is why it’s important not to let the ball or tire sit for too long and regularly keep it rolling around.
Hi, and thanks for the video. Looks like Clement Liquid Tire Sealant is not available any more. Do you have a new source of can recommend a substitute?
My ball hasn't had this problem, It's stitching is coming up and its outer layer is really dirty and skid up cause we sometimes kick it across rough concrete.
My ball is 4 months old and I'm the only one who uses it and it shows the inner layer with all the white string in it. I use it everyday on outdoor surfaces like street or concrete.
Thanks for this video. The sealant you recommended is no longer available. Are there any others you would recommend. Also, I've never seen a syringe like that. Do you have a link for that as well. Thanks!
Hello. Thanks for the video. I collect match balls and when I pump air into the ball it has a small leak which is ruining the ball (the leak is not from the valve). What should I do?
what's the liquid called ?? my ball recently had a spiky think pop a little hole in it and this video helped alot. i just need to know what's the liquid called and at what store can i find it ?
Could I please get some info on the hardware syringe and the needle on it that allows it to get into the ball. struggling to find one in my isolated neck of the woods.
@@romanp8694 I didnt use a syringe. What I did was attach the tip of a ball pump to a can of tire sealent and then I pumped the tire sealant in the ball. Hope this helps.
One question. What is the type of glue would be preferred for soccer ball? I mean there are types for bikes, for moto, for car tires. Just don't want make a mistake and pour inside something wrong and then loose my ball for ever :)
@@stey6255 lol, no i actually forgot about it and that i watched this video so i bought a new ball, in the meantime i didn't actually threw it away and i think i might just fix it.
hey I want to know how the egg whites can repair the puncture or the hole.?? I didn't think that it will last long will it be better than pasting a puncture tube???I am confused because it can harm the blader
Another simple solution get some fix a flat if u didn't already have some use a ball needle put it on the tip and spray inside of the ball it will put a little air in the ball maybe a bunch and if not pump some air into it, usually this will be permanent because my pit bull bit it and punctures it but it still hasn't popped or gone flat
It's easier and cheaper to buy tire sealant and fix ball few times than to buy new one every single time... and even expensive balls can be punctured. plus it's easier on environment
That feeling when you see that the air is actually being filled in the ball cannot be explained ..

Put the needle back in and let it drain
How is it holding up? Did it dry up eventually? 😅
No it's still doing fine, and looks inflated 👌🏾

It worked to me! Two balls been fixed today. Thank you very much for sharing!
Great tip! Have you had problems with the tire sealant covering the valve hole, making it hard to inflate?
You could maybe try keeping the pump needle in the ball when shaking but im not sure if itl work

what gauge?
I tried this on one of my official match balls and it made it much heavier and a bit harder. But for cheap balls it's okay I suppose.
Then what should you do instead?
the amount of money you saved my mum is unreal
You made me laugh when you said"Be careful not to pop the bladder"
Why bro?
@@mahamantraghosh8543 because there is no bladder in football annd it's an organ so he referred tube as bladder

If you don't have the tire sealant you can just use an egg and take the white part and inject it instead.
Works awesomely too!
Great video bro! imma try this myself since i just punctured to Adidas footballs.. it sucks:/
Hope it worked out! Let me know how it went.

Thanks for the video, I’ve just ordered ‘slime’ and a hobby syringe from Amazon. Fingers crossed!

Wouldn't the tire sealant block the hole where the air goes ? Or is that why you wet the needle ?
yes if it does seal the inflate hole then pushing the needle in should break the seal.
