People feel entitled to private information, most likely act that way in other parts of their lives too. Sometimes they see themselves as better or their target as a lesser being, it's wild. Had a doctor ask me something super personal that had little to do with what I came in for, took up most of the appointment and made me soooo uncomfortable
@vickythefist7062 it's called a deviation of the septum. Meaning the bones in your nose are smashed to one side of your face and you have a hard time breathing. Headaches light headed and dizzy due to lack of oxygen to the brain! I was treated for migrains and that wasn't the issue. I had the same surgery for health reasons. Stop judging others if you're clueless.
With all these identical surgeries on both twins, I can only think about the insurance nightmare. I'm a twin and while we never needed anything major, usually when we got prescribed medication it'd be the same medication. Then the insurance company would see same prescription, same last name, same birthday, and delete the "duplicate". And then our mom would be on the phone for hours trying to get them to understand the concept of twins. Rinse and repeat. I can't even imagine getting them to approve several major surgeries 😳
If I were going for a job interview and they asked me about my appearance or any other overly personal question, I would just end it right there. Completely reprehensible behavior.
Forty-eight years ago, having earned an advanced professional degree, I went to a job interview with a male employer. His first question of me: "Are you married, single, or shacking up?" I later interviewed with the same company but in an entirely different city where I was hired. Several years later I ran into that first male interviewer at a company function. Surprisingly, he took me aside and apologized profusely saying he made a terrible mistake in not hiring me. He admitted he had wanted a male for the position and not a female and asked me that question deliberately.
About the teeth questions in the comments; not only is it possible they didn’t mind, teeth need proper support to stay in place. When you have a deformity like a cleft lip or palette it is possible for the gums and jaw to be affected too much to properly shove teeth around.
This to be honest, teeth are basically fixed in a bone, so bone injuries making the teeth not perfrctly straight and aligned might also be why other solutions just aren't that great of a fix either. If it's functional for them, why make life more difficult with extra stuff to "look better", it's just not that important, they are both beautiful girls.
My sister was born with double hair lip and clef palate She went thru about the same ops that these girls have. it was really hard for her growing up, kids where terrible. But now she is 69 and very happy Bless these girls for their strength.

My husband and his younger brother both were born with severe cleft lip & palates. They dealt with bullying as well. I've had people say to me how'd you deal with your husband's scars. He's had 24 surgeries on his cleft repair/ deviated septum. I always say my husband is the most handsome man and I love every bit of him... I don't deal with his scars... I get so upset when they say it...and I usually will point out something they have that they can't change and make my point, but not in a rude way... I educate!! ❤️
My goddaughter was born with a cleft lip and a slight cleft palate. She has had quite a few surgeries and she looks quite wonderful now. One of her operations was done right about the time when Michael Jackson was having a lot of plastic surgery. I remember her saying "to think that some people go through this for no reason but vanity"
Beautiful girls inside and out I'm glad they feel better and can breath but also to be confident smart athletic girls with nothing holding them back ! Great job ❤

There were a set of fraternal male twins in my high school. One of them was born with a cleft lip. He had a noticeable scar and slight speech impediment, but was still def one of the popular crowd. Very cool guy 💙
I am a twin that was fraternal and was the only one of us who got cleft palate. However mine was left untreated for the most part, I did have a roof to the top of my mouth tho so that was helpful! I grew up with one surgery at 15 to remove the permanent eye tooth from up in the gum but I needed that left in! So it was a mistake to remove it even if it was not coming down correctly...they could have pulled the one baby tooth left there as it was an eye tooth and adjusted this surgically as it was just at an angle, the tooth itself was healthy. This left me without an eye tooth on the left upper jawline and no other upper molars, subsequently I only had the side of my mouth stitched up at one years old. I have two jaws that are not the same size, half a nasal passage on one side of my face, two different sides of a smile where I have a dimple on one side and not the other. When I was 18, I had a five teeth extraction which took 3 hours. They removed teeth encased in my upper cheekbone as with no baby molars below, they were never going to come down. I look fairly normal and most people do not notice my issues. I chew on one side of my mouth as I have never had even baby molars on the upper left. My twin was completely normal with no defects except she told me she had a deviated septum. I do finally have a bridge I can pop in for publically going out and for pictures but I can't eat with it. My gumline on the left is as far down as teeth would be. All in all I feel pretty lucky....my nose is fine....I lost my twin to ALS three years ago...she had a perfect face! I am 60 years old now.
Romy, Thanks for sharing! One of my best friends in HS had a cleft palate similar to these girls and I honestly never had a thought about it. She was (and is) beautiful and has always been a hit with gentlemen! However, I had no idea that this condition comes with so many other medical issues. Congratulations on 60- May you live long and prosper!!
I grew up with two different classmates with cleft lips, one of them had an older sister with one too. It’s always been the most normal thing for me. Now that I’m older I understand the medical side of it, even on a personal level in terms of a chronically obstructed nose, but cosmetically I still see it as such a normal kind of face to have. I guess it’s just thàt important to expose your kids to as many different things as possible so the world isn’t so foreign to them.
I enjoy these videos & am so happy that the good doctors help people. I am thrown that doctors make house calls! I thought that went out with the 1950's. I'll ask my doctors if they make house calls too!
"But for each one to have a face deformity? I really feel for the parents." Uhh, what about the twins themselves? The ones who have to live with their deformity, endure surgeries, stigma, etc?
More like if u realised ur child had a deformity that could lead to difficulty in life and people being horrible will make u feel sad that they have to go through that. When ur a good parent u worry about your child constantly.
the context is important. he said that he has twins of his own, so he can imagine how the parents felt/feel since he knows how taxing it is to have and raise twins without the added effects of a deformity
Some people embrace their differences, however, being a parent of a child with a difference you probably always feel guilty, because your child didn't get the best start.
I still am dealing with my issues as my parents never fixed mine! Luckily I had a roof to the top of my mouth where many don't. I have half a nasal passage, two difference sized jaws, I have a dimple on one side and not the other...my side scar is very minimal by my lips....I feel fortunate to be able to function pretty normall. Eating one side has taken its toll as I never had molars come down on the upper left and no teeth past the eye tooth on that upper side..only encased in bone and fused to it which was a horrible 3 hour surgery, I arrranged for myself that included in impacted molar below etc...The two surgeons thought they would break my jaw chipping those teeth out! My twin didn't have cleft palate...her face was perfect...She did have a deviated septum.

What adult in their right mind stops and asks someone during an interview about their facial deformity. Oh my god! The audacity!
right that's so inappropriate .... and unprofessional. She should've complained to the company if she didn't
I think it is illegal too to ask such a question.
I totally agree, especially during an interview.
I could never ask anyone with something obvious about it especially when applying for a job that’s ridiculous ‼️
I highly doubt they were asked about in their interviews
It’s called rude and ill mannered!
Yup! It’s shameful!
