We lost our sweet Maisie just a couple days ago. Her cagemate - Winnie - was very sad since it was her first time being alone. Yesterday we got a new piggy and have begun the bonding process. They have been very friendly with one another and I do hope Winnie becomes happier with a new friend.
I've just lost one of my guinea pigs to a respiratory infection. His name was Pedro and I only had him for 10 months. Thank you for the advice, I really appreciate it ❤
My boy died today in his sleep and since he was separated from the girls they didn’t really know which I feel is better because it possibly lower the chances of depression in them
So sorry for the loss of your beloved piggie, Roxy. You always made sure she received the utmost care and love throughout the years. You always take the absolute best care of your guinea pigs. They would never have received a better, safer, and lovely home anywhere else with any other owner. She was a very spoiled piggie! Take care of yourself to heal and grieve during however long you need. Guinea pig loss is so hard, as they're such special little friends in our lives. You're loved and supported by so many. You're a truly gifted amazing guinea pig mom. May you find grace and support during this time. Take the time to reflect on the beautiful life you gave Roxy and how special her life was to you and the other cage mates! Much love, Sarah! You're wonderful and a truly gentle, special person. We'll keep you in our prayers. 🕊️ 🐹
So sorry for your loss! I have two guinea pigs that I took over from another family when they were two years old. They are now four and entering their senior years. They are healthy and happy now, but I am dreading the day they become sick and dies! 😓
I have only had guinea pigs for the last two years and I can’t imagine my life without my two girls in it. I know the days will come when I will have to say goodbye to them but I fear those days. I feel for all those who have had to send their piggies over the rainbow. I love all your videos as they educate as well as entertain. Thank you and again so sorry. 😢❤
We only had the two and now with our sweet remy gone I hope Rex will be ok alone. There aren’t many adoption places around here and we aren’t sure where we could find another texel or longer hair piggy. I hope all your little ones are healing together too ❤ sending love
I sure love your little herd. Sorry life has these moments in it. We still miss our GG. I’m really happy we took him off daughter’s hands. She rescued from friend who felt overwhelmed by piggie care and was going to post on Craig’s list! Could have been the end! Instead, we made him at home and spoiled with food and treats and his voice was wonderful! Adjacent to kitchen, he would go to 5 bells when there was Basil out, and so on. Lots of fond memories, hope to see him again “some day”. It’s just the best to rescue any pet so good not to replace too soon. Then you’ll know what to do. ❤
I was SO SURPRISED TO SEE YOUR POST!!! This is terrible, never a good thing, and I'm so sorry this happened! Sending prayers to you, I know praying helps! I actually don't want to have small animals now because it's so hurtful when they pass! Condolences to you, Sarah, God bless you!❤
a few years ago me and my family got a 4 week old pug. w had him for about a year. he would escape our fence and run into a busy street very often. our neighbors always brought him back. one day i was playing with my sister when i heard a yelp come from the road. i ran inside to my parents. my dad took him to the vet. they did all they could, but he had too severe brain damage. the next day i walked into school crying. my teachers and close friends greeted me with hugs and comfort. i cried the whole day with my best friends by my side.
I lost my 5 y/o piggie Goslyn this week, so this is a welcome video. She was bonded with her daughter, Little My, who's never known a day without her mum until now. I've just had the two of them, so Little My is a lone pig in the house until I can get a new friend for her, which will hopefully happen this weekend! Little My has luckily been eating & responds very well to my presence, but it's clear she misses her mum. Goslyn was the source of so much laughter in our little home, it's amazing how these little animals can be such bright spots in our lives ❤
I'm very sorry for your loss of Goslyn, I do hope Little My is able to find a loving companion and I'm sure her mom will be looking on from over that rainbow bridge 💛🌈
Hugs to you and of course the piggies! Thank you for sharing this - I've lost a very, VERY beloved pet in the past and still mourn him after 3 years of his demise..... I sincerely empathize and send my prayers and support to you and the herd... :)
I feel your pain, I just lost my guinea pig, Stars, last month, due to old age. she lived a good long life though (almost 8 years) I had had her since she was just a pup. Still so hard to let go, I love you so much Stars. Stars Struck peaches Errett (8/12/2016 - 7/4/2024)It was sad to say goodbye but her memory lives on.😥😊
I'm so sorry to hear that you lost your sweet Roxy. My heart breaks for you and your piggies. I'm praying that you and your piggies will find peace in knowing that you did what you thought was best for sweet Roxy. She knew how much she was loved. I lost my little Rose Mary when she was getting surgery for ovarian cysts. She was only 3 and one half years old. Needless to say, I was devastated. So, like many of us, when we lose a family member, 8:08 we try and think about the good memories and let life go on. The Rainbow Bridge gained another angel 😇. Run free with all of the other piggies, eat lots of grass, and spoon in the sunshine 🌞. You are missed by so many sweet Roxy. 😪 🙏 💙 🌈
I lost my pig around 2 months ago. Leaving my one female who is very shy and was his shadow. She never did anything without him. Unfortunately she fell into a deep depression, she wouldn’t move, eat anything, or drink water. My parents were completely adamant about not getting anymore. Brought my pig to the vet and gave it some more time because I really didn’t want to rehome her, plus I’m not sure how rehoming a sick guinea pig would go as there aren’t many exotics rescues near me and if I gave her to the local county shelter they’d put her in a small box where she wouldn’t suddenly get better. She lost a total of 13% of her body week over 6 weeks. I finally convinced them to allow me to adopt another and I got him this past weekend. My girl is already so much happier and he ofc is still very shy and scared around me but is not afraid to rumble at her.
Seeing cali and nacho bond closer was so so sweet, feels like cali missed her but also maybe noticed she needed to step up and be there to comfort nacho as he was the closest to roxi. Of course she needed comfort too but idk just felt like she did what was best for the both of them 🥰
I am so sorry for your loss .we just lost a piggie at only 18 months old one girls fifi one that was one of our first piggies after surgery to remove a abscess on Wednesday. We have to other piggies so we are getting through together with lots of cuddles involved especially her sister. Hope everyone is getting is through it the best they can 💔
It's never easy when losing a beloved pet. It doesn't matter how much someone prepares for the loss of a pet or even family member(human) , the pain is still so surreal!
Hi Sarah, I’m pleased to hear you are all adjusting now and lovely to see the trio relaxing together. Nacho looks very dapper with his new haircut and Callie is adorably cute as ever! I hope Phoebe is ok this week if she does need to visit the vets, bless her? We all miss you dear Roxy ❤xx My four are doing well and adjusting to life as a 4 since we lost dear Meg our oldest piggy only 3 weeks ago. Take care and love to you all xx
Thank you Jemma, I will be posting on Patreon soon hopefully, it's all been a bit much and stressful. Phoebe is booked in on Tuesday, she's doing okay but I'm pretty sure she has another bladder stone 😓. I hope you and your girls are okay after losing the lovely Meg 🧡 xxx
@@SqueakDreams Oh Sarah so sorry have just seen this 😔that’s sad news about dear Phoebe. My birthday yesterday as well as Meg’s daughter Pecan who turned 6 yesterday- she enjoyed her special day and so did I! Take care 😘 xx
that's a good idea about fostering. We rescued a piggy in december for our bereaved boar (it was around a week after he passed) but will probably end the cycle when one of our current pair go
I lost my little senior pig two weeks ago, it is so heartbreaking, Pixie was nearly seven so she had a good life but you never want them to go, they become part of the family and your heart. ❤x
I’ve been wondering about you and how you are doing. The pain of loss is a terrible feeling. You said you’ve had piggies for a long time….do you know just how many over the years Sarah ??? You will be definitely be adding to your herd…..a lot of piggies out there that need homes !!! Best wishes Sarah 😘
Thank you 💗 Including everyone I've owned 14 - Ross and Joey, Pixie and Sprite, Annie and Lola, Willow and Twiglet, Lyra, Phoebe, Roxy, Pedro, Callie and Nacho x
I just lost one of my two females who were cage mates. They were adopted together, sisters, and did everything together. I’m hoping my surviving pig will remain healthy through her grieving process and into the future. I have a lone male I may neuter and place with my remaining girl in the near future.
Watching this and the tribute video has helped me a bit with my own grief. I just lost my soul cat 4 days ago and it has gutted me. 💔😢We literally both grew up together. No matter what animal they are, they are family, and the memories and small moments you make with them are very, very important. I’m so sorry Roxy had to leave you, but remember that she will always be with you💔
It’s always so hard loosing a pet, I lost my 3 males almost 3 years ago and I still think about the them all day ❤ I’m so sorry to hear about Roxy’s passing, I hope you and the piggy’s are doing well ❤❤❤
Hi Sarah, Phoebe, Nacho and Callie!! We are so happy to see that you are all doing a bit better following the death of gorgeous Roxy - even though you mist still be so sad. And we send all our love and - until you all get the spring back in your stride - we send lots of wheeks and wibbles and popcorns too!!! ❤❤❤❤❤ love from Bandit and Splodge (and Mummy)
@SqueakDreams Yes thank you, we are doing very well - we are staying with our "Grandparents" atm and getting lots of tasty snacks!! We hope you are all well - we love hearing from you! Mummy sends her love! Xxxx
I’ve never lost one of my guinea pigs before, but I am definitely scared for when that day happens. I watched your last video and cried as it was so sad and I imagined if it was one of my boys passing. I hope that you are doing well. I’m glad that the rest of the piggies looks to be doing okay.
After my guinea pig fire passed away I found comfort in watching you. I later went on to get Phoenix and Ash. I still have them and love them very much and want another one to name Smokey lol. Thanks for being my comfort and helping me move on from the lost of him. ❤
Every time I hear somebody going through a hard time with a loss of a guinea pig makes me remember my dear old boy GP. He was my little guy and I miss him even if it's been now 10 plus years. He's still my number one guinea pig who lived 8 years of his amazing little life dealt with my teen drama. He dealt with a lot in the end. He was my strong little boy and I bet your piggy was a strong little one as well❤
I'm so happy you and the piggies are doing good. Nacho's haircut is so cute, and I hope sweet Phoebe will feel better soon. And don't forget to take care of yourself too Sarah❤❤
Aww Sarah so happy to hear your all doing well yes it so hard losing a pet of any sort one of my Guinea pigs called bubble will coming into his 4th year next year he such sweet funny Guinea pig I lost his brother a few years ago and 6 weeks with a him giving him lots cuddles and floor and just spending with him until the right Guinea pig came along witch did but I all ways feel I have a spaical bond with him
my best friend and i had to have our 5 year old male Mercury put to sleep on monday , and the pain is immense, i dont like when people say well its ok you still have 4 more left, yes but us piggy parents love each and everyone of our piggys very very much and losing one is like losing a piece of your heart, its taken 3 days for my personal grief to suddenly hit, i hope our Mercury is popcorning over the rainbow bridge with your lovely Roxy ❤
Good to hear and see you are all doing okay after losing sweet Roxy. 🌈 And appreciating you to discuss the matter of what happens after you lose a piggie. It is a hard time but important to know for piggie owners 💔
When my boy passed away (his death was vet assisted due to ongoing health issues that took a turn) the rest of the heard was really quiet for a few weeks, and I was waiting for some dominance issues, but it never came. I think because of his age (he was 6) and his health issues, he wasn’t the leader of the herd anymore. I now have 5 girls, 2 3 year olds, and 3 2 year olds. My plan is I’m not getting any more pigs right now. My cage is currently in the lounge, 2x8, but I’ve been thinking about moving it and possibly making it 2x6 down the track and having no more than 3-4 piggies.
As someone who's lost 6 pigs I can confirm that it never gets any easier to lose one, but as someone once told me, time heals all wounds eventually; take time to grieve and to accept their passing. It's not about dwelling over death, but celebrating the life they had and possibly learning how to better cherish the time we spend with our loved ones in the future. Personally, I find it empowering that if these little ones can confront death without fear and worry, than so can we.
I'm so glad the supportive comments from this channel's community have helped you in this sad time 💜 I've so loved seeing Roxy over the years and she will be missed! She was instrumental in helping us learn how to better care for our piggies, Peach (rip 🌈), Buttercup, and Daisy. We're sending hugs to y'all from the US 💜 on a different note, how is Callie 2 already??!!
Deepest condolences for Roxy’s loss. With this and the previous video Roxy’s loss became a celebration of life as well as a valuable lesson to all of us and for that we’re all grateful. Many of us I'm sure have only two piggies and in our mind inevitably the thought of loosing one of them is scary not only in fear of us hurting but more about our remaining piggy grieving and then what? Do we let our piggy greave alone? Do we bring a new member into our pack and when would the best time for that be? Would an older piggy be tolerant meeting a younger one? I know it's probably not the right time to ask such questions but I can't help thinking about all these things
You said you may be doing some chilled out videos... I loved your Morning Routine ASMR video. Maybe you could do a couple similar to that? I still find myself turning to that one repeatedly when I need some peace. Whatever you do will be good... always are! 😊
Im so sorry about Roxy but i am excited for your future endeavors with the cage expansion and taking in more pigs! Any pig that gets adopted by you won the forever home lottery ❤ Roxy might have not been that old but you guys gave her 4 years of happy memories full of love and fresh veggies ❤
Thanks for posting this. I truly understand. I have had several guinea pigs but usually only two at a time and a month ago I also lost one of mine rather suddenly at almost 4 years old. We miss our Banjo and I have his buddy Carrot Cake who is only a year and a half so yesterday I found the friend we need. Now we are just waiting for Walnut to adjust and be ready to meet his friend. They do take our hearts for sure and I know everyone wonders why we do this over again but the love is always and the pain is temporary, not to minimize it of course. My heartfelt condolences to you.
Those dang blather stones. Animals should have to deal with it. They depend on us (pets) so there’s nothing they can do without us. Poor things. They’re in a loving home though! ❤️
I lost one of my two piggies earlier this week, and my remaining one has been staying with my sisters herd. Im sorry for your loss, and may all the furballs popcorn and enjoy their greens in heaven.

After my guinea pig fire passed away I found comfort in watching you. I later went on to get Phoenix and Ash. I still have them and love them very much and want another one to name Smokey lol. Thanks for being my comfort and helping me move on from the lost of him. ❤
Bless you you're very welcome and I'm sorry for your loss. A trio of piggies sounds lovely 🧡😊
He was my strong little boy and I bet your piggy was a strong little one as well❤
Your boy sounded like a wonderful piggie, rest in peace little man 💗
I'm so happy you and the piggies are doing good. Nacho's haircut is so cute, and I hope sweet Phoebe will feel better soon. And don't forget to take care of yourself too Sarah❤❤
This is just too sad😢

Good to hear and see you are all doing okay after losing sweet Roxy. 🌈 And appreciating you to discuss the matter of what happens after you lose a piggie. It is a hard time but important to know for piggie owners 💔
Thank you 💛
Rest in peace Roxy fly high 🫶🕊
Its okay to be sad, but keep smiling!! ❤❤
Poor Roxy
Wonderfully put, beautiful words 🤍
It is always hard to loose a friend......
Thank you so much, so glad Roxy and the videos have helped 💚 And I know, we got Callie at the end of August 2022, her birthday is May 30th 😮
Whatever you do will be good... always are! 😊
SO SORRY
Im so sorry about Roxy but i am excited for your future endeavors with the cage expansion and taking in more pigs! Any pig that gets adopted by you won the forever home lottery ❤ Roxy might have not been that old but you guys gave her 4 years of happy memories full of love and fresh veggies ❤
Bless you thank you for your comment which made me smile 💛
Im so happy u r all ok , it looks so weird looking into the cage without Roxy , and I can’t imagine how you all are feeling 😢

Rip Roxy she’s the best
I'm fell the pain I'm also losing my 2 pigs😊😢😢😢
I will miss Roxy
Thanks for posting this. I truly understand. I have had several guinea pigs but usually only two at a time and a month ago I also lost one of mine rather suddenly at almost 4 years old. We miss our Banjo and I have his buddy Carrot Cake who is only a year and a half so yesterday I found the friend we need. Now we are just waiting for Walnut to adjust and be ready to meet his friend. They do take our hearts for sure and I know everyone wonders why we do this over again but the love is always and the pain is temporary, not to minimize it of course. My heartfelt condolences to you.
Thank you, so true. I'm sorry for your loss of the lovely Banjo. I hope Walnut becomes a loving companion for Carrot Cake. I love their names 💚
I'm sorry for your loss ❤
Oh Sarah❤😭
Im sorry..
Everyone tries to ignore it but sadly it will have to come sometime, but, we must enjoy the time we have with them 💗
