I love "Scar Tissue", "Under the Bridge" and "Give it Away" They have so many different sounds, but always awesome! Sorry... I'm old... I meant... Always "LIT!" 😂
They just released a new album and are currently touring, they'll probably hit Indy. You guys should check it out. Californication is one of their slower songs, but they do a lotta funk too, check out "give it away" and from their previous album "dark necessities"
RHCP have a lot of music. You always know it's them, but one song to another will be very different. Older stuff is more hard. I'm just gonna recommend Give it Away and Under the Bridge. You get to see the two diametrically opposed sides of this band with those two songs and videos.
“Give it Away” is a trippy vid. “Under the Bridge” is chill like this. Check ‘em both out! Also they do a GREAT cover of Stevie Wonder’s song “Higher Ground”!
react to more rhcp please! Other songs I recommend are: "Otherside", "Can't stop", "Dani California", "Scar tissue", "Snow", "Under the Bridge" and other amazing hits!
You started with a real chill song. The Peppers history is truly amazing. Sex, drugs, and rock and roll. They lived it, wrote it and sung about it. They’re early shows was an experience. They would perform with just a sock on. Just outrageousness. The members are literally musical geniuses. They all went down that drug road, one died, the others barely survived. Under the bridge, is a song about Anthony’s addiction, where he would use, there with all the other heroin addicts in LA. That’s the bottom. The band’s addiction is better reflected in the song “Snow (Hey Ho)” there’s no words for Johns guitar riff , pure masterpiece of music. And it’s all from a bunch of Junkies… BTW they’re still jamming
They have also been in the news because they released a new Album after several years. Also, they have been performing live on various talk-shows. Their drummer, Chad Smith, was very close with Taylor Hawkins of Foo Fighters. If you catch any of their recent live performances on TH-cam.Chad has Taylor's name written on his drum set. Always one of my favorite bands.
What made me love RHCP was first watching Flea play bass. After that I began following his bass line through their songs and then it turned into understanding each individual part of the song and it became heavenly. Basically what im saying is react to some live RHCP! There are really good ones with Fruisciante and Flea together
It always amazes me when I hear young people who really didn't know anything about great bands like the Chili Peppers. They may be more of a rock band but still are one of the best rap acts of all time.
This brings me back to 1999 when this song came out and I lived in Los Angeles. It was the best year of my life and it was the worst year of my life. It’s a miracle that I survived. Lots of hazy memories. Incredible song and the lyrics are spot on.
Against the odds I'm a 62 yr old female who loves RHCP. I have several of their cds My husband doesn't understand but you definitely need to dig into more. Too many to mention!
Rhcp are my favorite band... These lyrics become more meaningful as you get older like alot of songs you will appreciate more because of lyrics and the sounds they use in the song to reflect a curtain emotion... You guys have good souls and good intentions so you's really have nothing to worry about in life 🖒
Their Slane Castle concert is just amazing ,at their very best . Any song from that is great. Mother's milk and Blood Sugar albums are super earlier albums with Dave Navarro on the former.
You saw them everywhere lately, because the guitarist in this video is their main guitarist & he took a leave of absence for several years & just rejoined the band & on April1st they released a double album that is fire. Check out "Can't Stop". Thx.
This song and scar tissue still continues to get regular radio play on both KROQ and now KLOS because it’s considered classic rock since it’s 20 years old at this point. Under the bridge and Can’t Stop are still my favorite songs from them.
You'll definitely get into much of their work. They are versatile af, mellow like this one, funk in "Higher Ground" and full out jamming in "Suck My Kiss".
I love the Chili Peppers! Pls listen to "Scar Tissue", "Otherside", "Can't Stop", "Give It Away" and "Under the Bridge". I have read the autobiographies of Kiedis and Flea. Really interesting. Flea is amazing on that bass - so funky.
Scar tissue, under the bridge, suck my kiss, higher ground, love rollercoaster, by the way, Dani California - too many amazing ones to name! Love RHCP!
"Cobain can you hear the spheres singing songs off station to station" probably is talking about the spheres of the galaxy- the sun the moon etc. since Cobain was dead when the song was written, they are asking him if he can hear the music of the universe.
RHCP's was the first band to do what they do and look the part as well.....they opened the door for ever rock group that had any hint of rap hip hop mixed within their music....check out the song...Soul to squeeze.
The Chili Peppers are one of those bands you'll randomly see in 90's movies. It's hilarious how the members will sometimes have a random role doing something stupid like in Point Break or in that Charlie Sheen movie called The Chase. Really fun movie.
Their drummer looks so much like the actor Will Farrell!! It's a video they made a vs of drums solo on a show you have to see the resemblance is like wow.
Nice to hear you both better, and expressing yourselves with increasing confidence. Please, keep on keepin' on. You GOTTA do 'Dani California', official vid, terrific song, fun vid, wicked guitar. Also, 'Knock Me Down', my fave. Loved doing this one with the kids I used to teach rock-band, late 90s-early 00s. Ya also gotta see some early nothing but socks vids. lmao.
Great reaction!! Here are a handful of great Chili Pepper songs… Higher Ground, Breaking the Girl, Suck my Kiss, Under the Bridge, Soul to Squeeze, Scar Tissue, Otherside, Dark Necessities.
Y'all gotta check out "Soul to Squeeze" by them. I grew up listening to their music, and that's easily my favorite song of theirs. The video for it is also super trippy
The song explores the dark side of Hollywood and the export of culture through the movie industry. The song begins "Psychic spies from China try to steal your mind's elation." Kiedis says in his book Scar Tissue that he took the inspiration for the line from hearing a woman on a New Zealand street ranting about "psychic spies in China".
RHCP just bought themselves a star on Hollywood Blvd, it was unveiled a few days ago. Those stars are paid for by the people in the entertainment industry themselves, or later on by their estate if they are deceased.
Damn, FIRST reaction to RHCP.. surprised it wasnt their new song from a few days ago. To me this is their best album (same name as the song) it was the first album i bought. went to the music store (miss music stores) after school when i was about 11. lucky for me my school, the store and home were off the same street. i got home and listened to the whole thing. one of my favorites. Definitely gotta check out "Other Side" and "Scar Tissue" "Under The Bridge" "Give It Away" as well
Came to hear RHCP I'm definitely a fan. Another great live performance "RHCP - Under The Bridge - Live at Slain Castle" Also would like to suggest another artist, if interested. "Ride Like the Wind - Promo Video 1980 - Christopher Cross" Fun Fact: this is classic soft-rock, or just Pop as I call it. However, Christopher Cross also has a distinct classification of genre called 'Yacht-Rock"😂 that his music also falls under. Even so, he is an amazing singer, song-writer, musician and composer and has won five Grammy awards
RHCP are really great. They innovate a lot for those years in the middle of the 80's. Their first song I remember was "Give it away"...and we didn't catch whatever they were saying!!!! Please react to it. So Fun!! Please, I beg you to come back with them and also with Hall & Oates, The Cure and Peter Gabriel. Thank you so much!!! Regards from Chile :-)
i love all of their music and most of it is quite a bit peppier (my faves being "Aeroplane", i think. maybe "Dani California"...) but if you want another mellow song, i think their absolute BEST is "Zephyr Wind"!
This Is Not Just a Great Song But This Whole Album Californication Is a Masterpiece RHCP Have a Load Of Great Songs - Under The Bridge Scar Tissue By The Way Fortune Faded Road Trippin' Dani California Black Summer
Try out the Slane castle version with John and Flea doing a seminal guitar jam before the song..mind blowing and leaves the studio version in the dust.
So many good RHCP songs. I want y’all to listen to one more funky! Flea on the bass is RIDICULOUS. And, of course, John Frusciante on the guitar 😻. I love how the drummer looks like Will Ferrell, and they had a drum off on The Tonight Show 😂
They were out of the gate mega hot for about a year or so, a few songs hit the charts and burnt it up, then like a switch being flipped they became the heart of every gay joke and got pounded hard and never recovered. Lol
A band that puts on a very fun and professional show. Go see them live. Dani California (song is awesome, video is hilarious), The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie ("who said three is a crowd?"), Dark Necessities, Under the Bridge. People are giving many other no brainer choices. Stick with RHCP for a while and you'll get it no problem.
The RHCP never seem to age, whether it’s their music, or their physical appearance. They’re still able to play with their shirts off, at their age. I guess the drugs they took worked. Also their music aged well throughout the years. I think they were doing music in the 80’s & 90’s that may be better suited for this century.
Oh yeah. This is my specialty. Check out some songs live at slane castle. They also just came out with a record on friday. The first one with john since 2006. Hes one of the best guitar players ever. If there was only one I could recommend, its "dont forget me" live at alcatraz, or possibly scar tissue live at slane castle. Under the bridge at slane too. Theyre great on record, but live is where its at. The guitar is one an entire other level live. Really the whole band is
These guys are legit and very accomplished 👏. Their sound is unique and I'd say, aged gracefully. You should check out Higher Ground, a Stevie Wonder cover and Dark Necessities. They have a very deep catalog, to react to. Hopefully, you'll react to more of their playlist.
I love "Scar Tissue", "Under the Bridge" and "Give it Away" They have so many different sounds, but always awesome! Sorry... I'm old... I meant... Always "LIT!" 😂
I still catch myself saying 'Can you dig it'? 🙄
"lit" XD havent heard that i a while... oh i mean : LIT !?! Yeaaah DUDE !!!
Atleast you didn't say, "bees knees"!
My favorite is can’t stop but at the moment I have otherside stuck in my head even though their new album didn’t come out that long ago.
I’m 15 and there my top 10 favorite artist no doubt lol
"The guitars is what makes it" Absolutely, he's one of the best players out there, dood is a genius.
They just released a new album and are currently touring, they'll probably hit Indy. You guys should check it out. Californication is one of their slower songs, but they do a lotta funk too, check out "give it away" and from their previous album "dark necessities"

Dark Necessities is one of my favs but really they never disappoint!
I came here to mention all of these. Another good, but underrated, one is “My Friends”.
All those plus their new album fucking slaps
@@ThisisStephennn I loved the new album, I'm listening on loop

Gotta do more RHCP. Check out:
- Can’t Stop (Live at Slane Castle)
- Under the Bridge
- Dani California
So many greats one, these my 3 for now
Cant Stop is my absolute favorite. cant go wrong with most of their stuff tbh
Slane Castle is a great intro to RHCP. They’ll get to see their whole vibe. Can’t Stop is a great choice.
Otherside (Slane Castle)
What made me love RHCP was first watching Flea play bass. After that I began following his bass line through their songs and then it turned into understanding each individual part of the song and it became heavenly. The whole album was a gamechanger for me back in the day, I was 16... great memories and still great songs :)
This brings me back to 1999 when this song came out and I lived in Los Angeles. It was the best year of my life and it was the worst year of my life. It’s a miracle that I survived. Lots of hazy memories. Incredible song and the lyrics are spot on.

So many great songs by the Peppers. Plus they just released a new album. I'm warming up to the tracks I've heard so far.
They sound all the same bro
Underrated band fasho
"Can't Stop" by them is a real banger, a song that I absolutely love performing at karaoke !
Cant Stop is so good or really anything from By The Way honestly
I’ve seen them twice live in 80’s & 90’s. They are legends .⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This song and scar tissue still continues to get regular radio play on both KROQ and now KLOS because it’s considered classic rock since it’s 20 years old at this point. Under the bridge and

It's from the "By the way" album, which is a very chill and beautiful album.
Under the Bridge / Scar Tissue / Dani California / Dark necessities etc.... they have so many good songs ❤
One of my favorite catalogs. So many songs and if you like their sound their catalog seems bottomless
Scar tissue, under the bridge, suck my kiss, higher ground, love rollercoaster, by the way, Dani California - too many amazing ones to name! Love RHCP!
Scar Tissue, I could have lied, Snow and Give it Away. Bangers.
"Cobain can you hear the spheres singing songs off station to station" probably is talking about the spheres of the galaxy- the sun the moon etc. since Cobain was dead when the song was written, they are asking him if he can hear the music of the universe.

Rockin the Peppers since 1987 (Uplift Mofo Party Plan). Check out "Suck My Kiss" - "Breaking the Girl" or anything LIVE 🤙
Theyve literally just been added to the "hall of fame". In USA. Been going since mid 80s.
"Give it away" is a banger!
" space may be the final frontier but it's made in a Hollywood basement"
Man if people truly understood this line 😂
RHCP just bought themselves a star on Hollywood Blvd, it was unveiled a few days ago. Those stars are paid for by the people in the entertainment industry themselves, or later on by their estate if they are deceased.

Can’t go wrong with these guys amazing talent and they play such a wide variety of styles
Idk about everyone else, but its pretty cool watching people realise the song theyre listening to is 100% a banger 😅
man, Flea and Frusciante could teach a master class on leaving space for each other to shine in songwriting.
"Apache Rose Peacock" under appreciated
Y’all have to react to this live at Slane castle. Promise you won’t regret it. Probably the best live performs ever other than Freddie Mercury.
“Dark Necessities “

i love all of their music and most of it is quite a bit peppier (my faves being "Aeroplane", i think. maybe "Dani California"...) but if you want another mellow song, i think their absolute BEST is "Zephyr Wind"!
Yes. I do in fact think I know what you're saying, Recklezz.
Give it Away and Under the Bridge. They covered Higher Ground by Stevie Wonder as well.
Their most famous song is "under the bridge".
Californication is also the name of a popular TV show. Might be where you heard it.
