On holiday in Crete in 1995, me and a mate picked what seems to us like an obscure Scottish team to support. I got Stenhousemuir, and I'ver bizarrely been checking their results ever since, which is an awfully long time, so massive congratulations from a sort-of fan.
I love how this guy finds really interesting matches that no one talks about ! He really does his research and shows there's life other than the old firm . I really fancy going to more lower league matches !
I've been a Motherwell fan for 42 years and amazingly we've never played Stenhousemuir in all that time. Congrats on the title and maybe one day we'll actually play each other!
This is great to see! In an age of the same clubs winning everything all the time it’s terrific to see the likes of Stenny winning a trophy! Despite having no connection to the area, I just got fed up of all the Celtic/Rangers talk North of the Border so looked for another team more than 50 years ago and chose Stenny. So pleased to see for those supporters. They are the lifeblood of the game. I’m just hoping for a good season in the higher division next time.
Well done Stenny, only went there once when I lived in Scotland, the fans were really friendly to this old Englishman and I've never forgotten that, really pleased for them :)
East Fife was my first ever Scottish game in 1987. I’m waiting for the Scottish 🏴 League Cup ties preseason. Travel will be via the new rail line due to open in June
The best Footy Adventures yet, what a phenomenal interview with Gary Naismith. I'm sure the guys in the lower league are appreciative of the spotlight you can give them at times like these.
I'm a Bradford fan but i'm delighted for them. What a great wholesome video. All the best in the League1 next season - i'll be watching out for the results!
Well done, Stenhousemuir ! Always liked them since I was a student at Stirling Uni and went to a few games. Always also liked the genuine affection by the fans. Another great video, too!
"Making history one goal at a time! Congratulations on clinching your first league title in 140 years - here's to many more triumphant seasons ahead! 🏆🎉
We need more coverage like this on lower league football in both Scotland and England...there is so much much more to the football than just the top end of the game 😊
Hope they celebrated it extra hard for all the fans that live and passed away over 140 years, never seeing a league title. Enjoy it. The lower leagues are a tough places, might not come around often.
If you ever find yourself in a pointless argument as to which club has the most loyal supporters in football, you could put a stop to it by mentioning people who pay to watch teams at this level week-in week-out, regardless of how well they do.
I can still remember when my Irish club Waterford FC played Stenhousemuir in the Scottish cup, that was a good time, we defeated Hearts B I believe it was in the previous round before losing to the might of Stenhousemuir.
Was great to see such a good club get their moment in the sun, they've earned that this season. Glad I got to meet you and say hello, thanks for the chat! You've been a groundhopping inspiration!
Congratulations to one of my favourite footballing clubs Stenhousemuir to be winning the Scottish League Two title to be promoted to the Scottish League One title next season, good friends!!!LONG LIVE STENHOUSEMUIR!!!🏋️♂️🏋️♂️🏋️♂️🏋️♂️🏋️♂️🏋️♂️🏋️♂️🏋️♂️🏋️♂️🏋️♂️🏋️♂️🏋️♂️🏋️♂️🏋️♂️🏋️♂️🏋️♂️
I remember Gary Naismith as a young left back at Everton ! ....Gary got old man ! what does that make me ???? ...Nice to see him doing well and made up for Stenny
I used to work right across the road from Stenny,s ground for over 25 years nice wee ground and the club do a lot in the community, great wee club, congratulations to club and their supporters, great season for them and the Bairns.PS been to the hospitality twice was a few years ago but probably the best I've ever been to.
That is absolutely awesome congrats to stenhousemuir on a momentus day for them and it's so good that you are covering this and Scottish football in general I hope you are going to the old firm match later...enjoy
it was so great to meet you yesterday, such a nice guy and also got to take a picture with you. im glad you were there and got to enjoy and video my team winning the league and catching this moment. Love it bro
Only just seen this people. As a #NUFC fan I’d like to congratulate #Stenny winning their first ever title in their history. So made up for you all and good luck going forward next season. John ⚽️😇
Love the content! Next time you're able to get over to Ireland, I'd love to see some content for Kerry FC in the League of Ireland! They're first division, so other than following their socials online it's near impossible for an American to get a sense for what's going on at the club, and the atmosphere and all that. They started up in 2016, so they're really new. Also the scenery over there certainly doesn't suck! May be be a fun trip for you!
I was there, as a neutral. I'd actually earmarked the fixture a while ago, before the potential significance became clear. The match itself wasn't a classic in such windy weather but entertaining enough. What it did really bring home is that, to the people who support clubs like Stenhousemuir they're just as important, in fact more import, than the Old Firm or any Premier League side. They matter because they're their team. The fact there may only be a few hundred supporters doesn't change the fact that to those people that club matters the most of all of them. I actually felt more emotional watching the celebrations than I did watching my own team win League titles. I could feel how much it meant.
Well done to Stonehouse, going into the history book going on a journey to league one for the first time in 150 years that is just crazy. Well done to them.👏👏👏👏
Growing up in the 70s and 80s (even though I'm the son of a Scot) Stenhousemuir were seen as a joke. Now they are well and truly on the footballing map. Well done The Warriors.
Well done Stenny. Next season is a big step up, assuming only Falkirk are the only League 1 promoted team that will leave the likes of Accies, Cove and Kelty
Stenny won some regional leagues hundreds of years ago. But this is their FIRST EVER PROPER LEAGUE TITLE!!!!!
On holiday in Crete in 1995, me and a mate picked what seems to us like an obscure Scottish team to support. I got Stenhousemuir, and I'ver bizarrely been checking their results ever since, which is an awfully long time, so massive congratulations from a sort-of fan.

Gary Naismith hit the nail on the head. For those who have followed clubs like Stenny through the generations, this is awesome!

So true, it's for the older supporters who have been waiting 60 or 70 years, nicely acknowledged!
This is great to see! In an age of the same clubs winning everything all the time it’s terrific to see the likes of Stenny winning a trophy!
