I've said it for a long time: Date the supermodels if you want, but marry the cute nerds. Every time. It helps that this one is endearingly shy and romantic (and sounds much more humble, if self-deprecating) compared to her brethren. It also helps that in addition to being a glasses girl, white hair was always my favorite inhuman (aka anime) hair color. All that AND she's into hand-holding, which I can only hope those books of hers talked about. I did get a chuckle out of her realizing that she's such an inept hunter compared to her friends and the listener that she didn't even notice that SHE was being followed by the LISTENER until they told her so. That also makes me wonder how much the listener could draw out her full potential, even if that's just helping her have a solid foundation of accepting her imperfections and being believed in. And is it wrong that when she was talking about the other elf women being bigger than her, and not just in height, the first thing I thought was that she was talking about their large, developed, perky...ears? This was some especially welcome warm cuteness when I needed it.

Not at all a fan of being hunted down and captured, but she is really cute, and her lack of desire to actually hunt me makes her better. I'm not going to say whether you should fill the companion script or not, that isn't my decision, but I really don't think I'd watch it.
Thank you for the feedback! It's definitely a very different vibe. My performance of it would probably be softer, because that's just how I roll, but that sort of situation is not for everyone, and I completely understand that.
Clearly these elves don't understand human men if they believe that they will spend the 24 hours actually trying to escape.. "If you elude me for 24 hours then you get to go home and won't be forced to marry a wise, talented and exceptionally beautiful elf, and you get to spare yourself the subsequent years of both romance and copulation." Honestly, if I were the guy, I'd worry that the elf woman would spend the 24 hours doing everything possible to try to avoid finding me..
1) In the past there was a war between humans and elves. Realistic, I appreciate it. 2) Due to losses in the war, the elves are looking for ways to restore the population. Realistic, I appreciate it. 2.1) However, there are problems with the "purity" of the blood of descendants from such mixed unions. But I'm glad that this problem is not mentioned here, so I will not delve into this topic either. 3) The idea of such "games" is rather interesting. It is difficult for me to call it at least somewhat realistic or acceptable from the point of view of morality and ethics. To be honest, I would even say that I don't like it. However, it is quite popular in role-playing audio. The girl chases you like prey, drives you into a corner and makes you her property for the rest of your days. Sounds tempting? Definitely not for me. But I know it's a very popular fantasy for others, and I've never been one to judge other people's tastes. What's interesting about it is how to explain it and fit it into the world-building, how to make someone's innermost fantasies come true in a realistic way, and not so that they seem like an odd part of the story. I think that everything here is built around this, to make it as natural as possible. 3.1) However, there is something I like about it all. It looks like those humans who themselves want to live with elves may not even take part in this whole "game". 3.2) However, it follows from this that those Humans who participate in this are unwilling, they are hunted against their will. It's a little unsettling, but I love dark themes in stories. Being a victim of injustice is not interesting, but reading (or listening in this case) about injustice can be interesting if it makes the story richer and more interesting. 4) But all that is written above is not so important, because here all this is used more creatively. Stereotypical situations and clichés are not so bad, what matters is how you use them to tell something interesting. Sometimes you can take a popular story or genre and turn it 180 degrees to get something interesting. What if, instead of a predator elf who enthusiastically pursues a human, we had a shy and romantic elf who specifically avoids catching anyone because she wants to meet her love in a more romantic way? It's not bad anymore. But what if the listener specifically chose her and followed her through the woods to fall into her obvious trap? And now it turns out a beautiful romantic story that even I like. 5) She's interested in human culture, so she's not just a lonely elf girl. She is an elf who is interested in Humans. Such details help to believe in feelings and are important, I appreciate it. 6) Her self-doubt and the fact that other elves bully her helps to imbue her with sympathy and compassion. From the story "hot elf fell in love with me, how cool I must be" it becomes "I can sympathize with her, I want to protect her, I want her to be happy." It's nice to be the object of love, but it's even nicer to love someone. Such small details, some kind of sad backstory of a character that helps to feel sympathy can change a lot. This works even in more extreme cases like villains or monster girls or yanderes. Give one of them a little (or a lot) of dramatic backstory and the people listening are ready to stand up for them. I appreciate such details. 6.1) I have always valued personality first and foremost, not looks or strength. But even speaking about appearance, I do not think that the "bigger" is better. And girls with glasses are also cute. So for me this is an absolute win. 7) Something here was mentioned lightly, but was very important to me. Elves just live longer than humans. It depends of course on the specific story, but often not just "longer", but much longer. What does this mean in practice? This means that while I will grow old and "rust", she will be young and full of strength and enthusiasm and some desires. Good for me, I guess. But what about her? She will see how the one she fell in love gradually turns into a grumbling old man whose health has to be monitored and cooked soft cereals for him and make sure that he does not make sudden movements. What if she hates me and her promise to be there? She may never do anything to make me suspicious, but the guilt will linger in me making me irritable and grouchy even more and making the situation worse. And yet her promise to never leave a listener, even in old age, was heart warming. I appreciate it. 8) I like the fact that the listener, instead of letting her carry them, just walked with her holding hands. Such a small detail, but so valuable and changing everything in this relationship. This shows that the listener is generally not interested in being prey or a pet and has a backbone. The listener has simply chosen her and wants it to be a pleasant romantic relationship, not a "she's the predator and I'm the prey" relationship. I really appreciate it. 9) I liked the moment when she took out her bow and drove away the other elves. It was even an unexpected twist and revelation of her character! "Still water run deep." She is all so shy and calm... but she definitely will not let happiness out of her hands and she is ready to fight for love. I like it and I appreciate it. 10) I love these shy romantic characters and the way you play them. I really appreciate it. Thank you.
Hi! I'm the scriptwriter. Thank you so much for the deep dive. Some of it was part of my planning for this script. Some of it wasn't, but I'm glad you were able to pull out those details that I missed. This script actually was written to be a bit different compared to the usual elf stories we see. That's why I tried to make her unique to the rest of her people, which ultimately is the reason the listener finds her attractive. The background story is a bit darker than I'm used to writing, but I wanted to have some sort of plausible explanation for why these events were set up. And there is a sizable audience that likes these kinds of stories, so I tried to write one for them while also sticking to my usual wholesome writing style. Ironically, the companion script to this story that I wrote first (the assertive elf) actually does play into the stereotypes that you mentioned so it may be a bit more "generic" in a way. That being said, I still tried to make it a bit more wholesome than usual in that the listener is scared of her aggressive appearance, but warms up to her when they see she truly cares about them. Some people may not like it, but if it is ever filled I would recommend at least giving it a chance first.
@@Lalo_Lunara Hello. Sorry for the belated reply. TH-cam didn't show me the notification that my comment was replied to, so I only saw it now. Yes, I like to dive deep sometimes. This is my way of saying thank you to people who write scripts and to those people who bring them to life with their voice. It's always nice to see writers' answers. I think it would be interesting to compare this with the companion script.
No, not at all. Or at least, my interpretation as the VA is that she was being completely honest. If the listener hadn't clarified that they didn't *want* to escape, and more specifically that they wanted to be caught by *her*, she would have absolutely helped them hide out from the other elves. That's what I intended to portray, at least. :)

Question: would the elf cry if I said that I saw the trap from the start and also saw her trying to hide nearby?
Ya im fine with this
Anyway hugs?
I got ya 🫂

Clearly these elves don't understand human men if they believe that they will spend the 24 hours actually trying to escape..
"If you elude me for 24 hours then you get to go home and won't be forced to marry a wise, talented and exceptionally beautiful elf, and you get to spare yourself the subsequent years of both romance and copulation."
Honestly, if I were the guy, I'd worry that the elf woman would spend the 24 hours doing everything possible to try to avoid finding me..

Hello.
More please.
I'm glad you like it!
Hmmm deja vu.
I had a dream like this once.
Interesting coincidence!
Can’t say I’d be against hearing the companion script but regardless great job with this one, loved it 🙂
I absolutely love this script please!!! Do the companion to it
Elf wife 😘💖💕 love you.
1:38 Too bad that didn’t kill me
this reminds me of a manwhua
Was she lying about letting him go and/or helping him escape ?
No, not at all. Or at least, my interpretation as the VA is that she was being completely honest. If the listener hadn't clarified that they didn't *want* to escape, and more specifically that they wanted to be caught by *her*, she would have absolutely helped them hide out from the other elves. That's what I intended to portray, at least. :)
@@nightshadequeenasmr Ok, it got me worried for a second that she might have been tricking him. It would have kinda ruined the scene, for me at least.
Thank for explaining.
