That is correct. You supposed to sing, dance, and shout when folks go on home to be with God in heaven because they are free. There is no reason to be sad for them! We miss them when they are gone, but don't be sad about your loved one when they leave here.

Those who "dislike" are usually people who've never experienced this type of joyful homegoing/funeral praise in the Black Church tradition. It's hard for them to understand how we can have JOY UNSPEAKABLE AND FULL OF GLORY in the midst of sorrow! We just have to pray for them, because we ALL have to "go home", and we all need to be ready to "go sweeping through the City!" :-)

You can’t sit down when the SPIRIT OF GOD hits. Some holler, some shout and speak in tongues, and you got those who just cry. For me, when the SPIRIT OF GOD moves, I just cry. When, the Hand of GOD, comes sweeping across, you can’t sit still. If, you can’t move when you feel the Spirit moving in you, than something is wrong.
