I just got myself a bushbox and you did something outstanding ! During WW-ll my dad and his unit in the South Pacific would cook something exactly like what you just cooked when they could find the eggs. They substituted spam though and scrambled the eggs in. They called it Bungaroo Stew . Dad used to cook it for me on weekends when I was a little kid. Guess what the first thing I'm gonna cook on my bushbox xl is ? You have a great day . As Bob Hope used to say " Thanks for the memories. " ! PS I've never been sure where they got the name Bungaroo Stew. Dad said he fought alongside Filipino, British, and Australian troops, in the Solomon and Philippine islands, maybe that had something to do with it .
i have learned so very much from you, i found you by accident and now i have subscribed to you, i love to camp and now going on my own just me my gear and my dog. i have learned your lessons and crave more, thank you my friend
Yup I've been watching his firebox videos. He does lots of amazing hiking fishing and cooking videos . He's very modest and almost never tries advertising his product. Simply shows how effective it is. Great to see you using it.
Any channel that makes potato's like that is fine by me. Makes me hungry every time I see them. Have a Firebox stove that works in the same way. Love it for winter camping here in Vermont. Another nice video. Take care, Al
Wow.., Dude, you mentioned the name SPAM.. yep.! That's a ko-dec moment in my book..! I love SPAM ❤️..I was born in the islands in the south Pacific...We didn't have Refrigerators back then. So, the Military all they would supply the Natives were Cans of food. Sure I would mix SPAM and Eggs together Wow what a meal and, then eat with Rice 😁 YEP.! Andy, thanks for showing me of nature.. excellent video 👌✔️.
It's my first time watching your vdeo...I learned a lot...and I enjoy...but my son loves to watch ur video...thanks keep safe...we are from philippines...
Nice Outdoor Breakfast Man! The Bushbox xl is really a good one i got the Normal one and it is great to. The Grill Plate fits the best when You put it on top without the two other pot holders! GREAT VIDEO! Greetings from Germany Javor ;)!
That’s a nice bit of kit, Andy. Very portable. Thanks for another very enjoyable cookout/bug-out. I am, as usual, really looking forward to you’re next adventure. Happy Easter, and have a great week.
Very nice video. I disagree that this was not a review 😁. IMHO, this is exactly the best kind of review. Demonstrates the product under real world comditions. Made me hungry. Thanks. 👍
Looked very tasty Andy. In Canada we call those potatoes "home fries" . That stove appears to work quite similar to my Firebox stove. (which i love) You might want to try a swedish fire torch wood loading style some time. It makes for a nice long even burn that you dont have to keep tending whilst cooking. Cheers !
cool video, really do fancy one of these stoves.... and thats one of my fave meals to make, even when im at home lol.. cheers for sharing... regards Ian
Another great offering Andy. I must get a bushbox, that one looks a good size. Brekky looked, and sounded great. I’ve been enjoying your videos Andy, thanks my friend for sharing them. All the best bud, look forward to your next upload. Take care. Regards shane.
Canadian crown land bush is the greatest kind of bush for making shelters ... I live in the boreal forest in Ontario , Canada. You would love the bush here mate !!!
You’ve done it again mate - I’m hungry now! The breakfast looked really good - I sometimes cook something similar just chucking in whatever is in the fridge - my kids call it landfill and love it haha! A splash of hot sauce makes it! Thanks mate - the stove looks good! Vorsprung durch twigstick! 😂
Nice one Andy, tasty looking snack too. I haven't had a chance to flash my XL up yet....I can't bring myself to do it round the back of the house..that's cheating lol !. I've got a tarp ordered this week so I'll be in full readiness for the monumental occasion 😁...Cheers 👍
Nice work, the food looked delicious. The stove seems a good addition to your tool set. Always look forward to your work and you never disappoint. Hope you have lots of adventures planned!
Great scenery, great review, and, awesome looking Breakfast Mate !! It would seem the stove delivered quite nicely. I always enjoy watching your reviews. Great job as always Andy . Peace, John.
BRILLIANT JOB, NICE TO SEE YOU EAT STRAIGHT FROM THE PAN, ESPECIALLY WHEN USING A CAST IRON PAN, HELPS TO KEEP THE FOOD HOT RIGHT TO THE LAST MOUTHFUL, THAT LOOKED A GREAT BREAKFAST, MICK FROM SURREY.
😂 I did that too.... but! Mate, it is worth it! I have used mine in France, Spain and Ireland. It's easier to feed than other brands, and it's a remarkably well-made piece of kit. Raises morale and does what it says on the tin really well. Pricey, yes, worth it? I am not sure the high tag is necessary, but I have used it countless times and I think it's now well worth it.
Nice video once again, food looked tasty . I do like the look of the xl's but I'm using the petromax hobo stove that folds flat into a nice case at present and doing a good job . Keep the vids coming .
nice can tell you in England as not seen a dry day before vid or dry on day one yet, and with amount rain we had recently imagine newer vids the same. i got simular stoe mine came with a pull down front feed door so in windy but dry weather less chance accidental fire (as if we often get that dry)
I bought a steel one which I used once. Heavy; takes time to get to temperature and prepare wood; can't smell of smoke when elk hunting; and really hate having to scrub the soot off my pans.
I've been waiting to buy a stove, thats the one! Cheers Good for cooking my personal favourite Bubble and squeak, Cabbage potatoes and corned beef - Oh yes
Great video Andy, that breakfast looked pukka! I'm a big fan of the Bushbox XL, mines the stainless steel one though. I find gas reburner type twig stoves concentrate the heat too much, they're great for boiling but not so good for frying. Hoping Santa is gonna bring me a Coffey spit this year 🤞
Yo Andy, quality brunch you had on the go there, I really like the bushbox, I stupidly purchased a cheap one but haven't used it fully yet... its small but take a ages to put together and fiddly, think the XL may be too big for me but I may go for the regular one now... quality engineering for sure. Oh and your brunch looked amazing. Cheers mate. Lee
Nice little vid Andy. I have the LF stainless version and it's a well made bit of kit. Good idea for a meal too. Love cast cooking, also like the de buyer carbon steel pans. You should resurrect the Smokey Davidson brand and get them sold online. Thanks dude
When I build my semi permanent "bush craft" shelters in the past, inside the shelter looking out , you can see outside anywhere except for the door and 1 or 2 vents near the top .
Andy just a side note here we have moved up onto a Mtn. For the winter no cell phone service will catch you every now and again ! Take care brother I will try to keep up over the next 6 months. Keep videoing !
Excellent video I use the wild stove excellent bit of kit no complaints at all but would still love to have the bush box Xl it looks a very versatile bit of kit but can not afford it keep saving the penny’s lol
That looks really good! I find I am using my Luxada titanium stove way more than I expected to when I first got it. I seem to be collecting titanium stoves these days.
I've got the bush box xl, but not the titanium one. It's great but weighs a ton! I would love one of these but am not paying the ridiculous price they are asking. I bought a titanium one from Wish which is the type you have to slot together and I agree they can be fiddly but it was a fraction of the price and a compromise I'm willing to make. That scoff looked epic! Made me proper hungry, definitely cooking something like that on my next trip. Thanks for sharing. Atb Shaun
I wanted one of these until i saw the price! cant afford that so making do with the small lixada stove lol. lunch looked nice and tasty. thanks for sharing with us. cheers
they also do the LF in steel and titanium, just a little smaller, id like to try one one day, prob a bit bigger than a lixada. Lunch was tasty.. and well deserved was a busy day off haha, cheers for watching mate
I have the stainless steel xl version and it's great at under half cost... as long as you're not a counting ounces backpacking snob it does the job beautifully...
I just got myself a bushbox and you did something outstanding ! Bless all of them. !!!!🤗

This video made me really hungry. I am really liking this stove because of the one-piece quick setup and stability.
I enjoy listening to you talk. Your voice is very relaxing, as well as educational.
Any channel that makes potato's like that is fine by me. Makes me hungry every time I see them. Have a Firebox stove that works in the same way. Love it for winter camping here in Vermont. Another nice video. Take care, Al
Thanks Al :) these hobo stoves are pretty convenient... I just wouldn't have had time to do a fire and clean up on this day so was perfect

Cool stove and an excellent breakfast!
Nice box and great cooking on it. ✌️
Another great offering Andy. I must get a bushbox, that one looks a good size. Brekky looked, and sounded great. I’ve been enjoying your videos Andy, thanks my friend for sharing them. All the best bud, look forward to your next upload. Take care. Regards shane.
Thank you Shane :) much appreciated mate. I looked at a few wood stoves to replace my lixada one and this stood out to me as the best.

Tasty looking grub out in the woods nothing better 🏕

I bought a steel one which I used once. Heavy; takes time to get to temperature and prepare wood; can't smell of smoke when elk hunting; and really hate having to scrub the soot off my pans.
Nice video mate. Greetings from Australia!

Great video Andy, that breakfast looked pukka! I'm a big fan of the Bushbox XL, mines the stainless steel one though. I find gas reburner type twig stoves concentrate the heat too much, they're great for boiling but not so good for frying. Hoping Santa is gonna bring me a Coffey spit this year 🤞
Great video as usual ,and congratulations on 20k subs.
Thanks Roy :) I met my end of year target early :p
When you cut meats or potatoes, tuck your fingers in so the blade slides past the tips of your fingers.
Excellent stove and a nice breakfast too 👍🏻 I would smother it in baked beans , like the skillet also 👍🏻🍺
That pot with the spout is right proper!
Yo Andy, quality brunch you had on the go there, I really like the bushbox, I stupidly purchased a cheap one but haven't used it fully yet... its small but take a ages to put together and fiddly, think the XL may be too big for me but I may go for the regular one now... quality engineering for sure. Excellent video I use the wild stove excellent bit of kit no complaints at all but would still love to have the bush box Xl it looks a very versatile bit of kit but can not afford it keep saving the penny’s lol
Hot sauce for the win! Thanks for sharing, Andy. :)
That looks really good! I find I am using my Luxada titanium stove way more than I expected to when I first got it. I seem to be collecting titanium stoves these days.
Very informative vid and thanks, I have a regular version and wondering if Ti version warp as well ?
Love your videos!
Nice one Andy. Could have used some black pudding ( blood sausage in Canada)
I've got the bush box xl, but not the titanium one. It's great but weighs a ton! I would love one of these but am not paying the ridiculous price they are asking. I bought the LF in steel with the extra trivet and rests. Well built and not too heavy. A reasonable fuel chamber compared to the small version.
Its probably fine for most, I just wanted to go big due to the nature of what I do here on the channel, otherwise id go with the LF
Just noticed you've gone 200,000 subscribers Andy 😁👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏. Deservedly so😎👍
Wow, what a great video, it looks delicious.
SurvivalAustria
Thank you :) gotta eat well when out and about haha
That's a pretty cool little stove. Will look at your links. Does your channel sell ball caps? With a patch attached?
