I always remember President Nixon was at Dave Righetti's no-hitter on July 4th 1983

I'm glad he mentioned the Pirates 1960 game 7 win as his baseballs best moment

Interesting. I didn't know about Red Schoendienst having TB as a kid. In those days, that could be a death sentence. but he came back and had a great career as a player and a manager.

It wasn't as a kid, but near the end of his career. He missed all but the last few games of the 1959 season, but returned to play a few more years.

I like how Lou Gehrig is more courageous than Jackie Robinson. Classic Dick Nixon. That herb!

This conversation took place in 1972 not 2020. In that era, not everything revolved around race like it does today.

Amazing that he took the time to make this list. It was a pretty busy time in the Oval Office what with planning the Watergate break-in (June 12) and cover up.

Watch it. He did not plan it. He only covered it up.....and lied.....and threw others under the bus....embarrassed the country.....but that's all.
