- Black women in New Jersey are up to 7 times more likely to die from childbirth-related complications than White women. This urgent health crisis continues to destroy our families and communities.
This discussion, hosted by Mayor Donald Shaw of Roselle Borough, focuses on the impact on Black families, critical resources, and opportunities for men to advocate for Black women’s health. Kevin Cox, Program Manager of FELLAS, leads a dynamic panel: Dr. Babalola Jinadu, DO, OBGYN, and Partnership Health Ambassadors East Orange Council Chairman Christopher Awe and Newark Councilman C. Lawrence Crump.
