thank you for these brand tips. I've been reselling for over 20 years now but never was much into clothes until recently. it's amazing what is popular!
Hey Sherri Your videos are so nice! New subscriber 🤗 I’m a reseller also. I was wondering where you purchased the plastic sleeves/packaging you use to ship your clothing items in? And the sealers? (22:45) Great idea! Keep um coming😊 Thanks!
Just found your channel and love it! Im trying to get this going full-time but even very part-time it's working out great. My favorite place to get items so far is from church sales. I always find great quality vintage items.
You are quickly becoming one of my favorite channels…I’m trying to get my reselling business off the ground and I appreciate all that you share with us, I’m learning a lot 😊
Hi Sherri, long time no chat! I hope you’re doing well. I love that you got the McKenzie Childs S&P shakers, you definitely should have asked to see the rest of the collection.
Hey, Chez!!! Oh my word. How are you doing? I was going to ask the gentleman about the Mackenzie Childs but I knew I couldn’t pay him what it was worth. I did see the pieces at Boxwood the last time I visited. And he should make pretty good money from consignment. ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Sherri! I ordered the clothes stand from Amazon that you showed after the flat lay didn’t work well. Are you still using that and then whiting out the background? Mine is still in the box. Life happened and now I need to send it back tomorrow if I’m not going to use it. Just wondering how yours worked out.
Annette, I am still using the stand. I do like it but I may change things up in a month or so with how I take pictures. I find that I have to live with something for a while before I know if I like it or not. I’ll be sure to show what I change in an upcoming video. ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for taking us along for the ride! I would've been so excited to get some of these finds. You did very well!!!! Will you still do an update for what you made in a month? I'm just wondering what the difference is now that you've changed your strategy (compared to other months). I've been watching you for a while, and you just keep getting better!
I've recently started watching your videos and subscribed. Each time I've seen you I feel like I'm watching someone that I know. I finally figured it out. Not that I know her personally, but has anyone ever told you that you look like Geena Davis? The spitting image in my opinion.
I get anxious before I start taking photos or listing because I think I'm going to screw up somehow. I've been watching your videos before I start and I keep them running while I take photos. They help me lighten up. I liked the video of you listening to advice from other resellers and commenting on what they said. It was way more fun than listening to other resellers directly! You could do ten more of those kinds of videos and they'd never get boring. Do you happen to have any lighthearted advice when it comes to listing? Thanks for everything!
Lynn, listing used to be something I hated but I find that if I make my drafts right when I get back from thrifting, it makes everything else easier. Since creating drafts it is my least favorite thing to do, I get it out of the way first. Then I take all my pics and put away the inventory and then I complete my listings. I’ll have to do a “day in the life” showing my complete process. ❤️❤️❤️
I will absolutely grab off the curb I literally remember the terror I felt as a I’d when my mom said jump out and grab that lol but now I understand why?
Hi Sherri, I too live in NC & just found your TH-cam Channel. Ive been a reseller for about 30 + years, but I must say you have it down to a art & I LOVE watching you. I am 73 & really slowing down now. The problem around here is the Best local Thrift is a Church & some of the Volunteers are resellers. That hurts. I gave up on Ebay..sell a "little" on Mecari but mostly I load up our car with 75 to 100 items & take them to a Auction House that does online auctions (each run for 2 weeks). Ive done very well with this method. It reaches all over the country & other places not in USA. Anyway again I love your style, method, and facial expressions. Your a HOOT. ❤
Hello Sherry I'm new to your channel I love your videos I'm doing the same thing as you with the sell through rate and just learning more about certain items I have been doing this for 6 years and honestly I have a lot of crap that just sits so I have ended a lot of my items and I'm trying to really research the item and the sell through rate I want to thank you for your videos it has been helping me a lot I do a lot of online auctions and I have passed on a lot of items because I'm doing the comps and sell through rate it takes time but I'm tired of buying crap Thank you again for your videos
You and me both! I would buy stuff to sell because it was pretty or cheap and the stuff NEVER sold! I am so glad you found my channel and we can learn together. ❤️❤️❤️
This weekend,28&29 , I think both days , a couple hours from you ,Biltmore Lake is having their big community sale and I hope to go this year . I hear it’s crazy how good it always is (Asheville)
You got some nice scores there Sherri. I just love finding those smalls, that bring close to $100. Then the shipping is so cheap on the small items too
What scores my friend. Yes Dana Buchman was only sold in Nordstroms. I use to buy it there. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼are you still working on saving for your kitchen floor darling
I didn’t want to insult him with a lowball price and I could tell he really wanted to consign it to get more money. Maybe if then opportunity is presented to me in the future, I’ll take a chance. ❤️❤️❤️
@@SimplyThriftingWithSherri I've never used a ride svc, but if there's a note section, specify a thrifter shopping ride if they do, and then maybe hire them when that ride is complete for the rest of the day, and thennnn charge them back if they want to have fun and learn along the way! 😂
I get a bad taste in my mouth when I hear about Blue Fish clothing but it has nothing to do with the style and quality. I bought a few shares of stock in the company because they went public way back when sometime in the late '90's when I used to get their catalogs and admired their organic cotton and hand painted garments. Then one day I received word that they were no longer and there went my small investment but an investment nevertheless. Recently I see an article that they officially closed down shop in 2021...what? If they were still operating that recently WTH happened to my shares of stock? So with a bit of research I see that they filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2005 due to bad business decisions. So what happened between the time I purchased that stock and 2021? Thanks for nothing Blue Fish...you could have at least sent the shareholders of your defunct stock shares a t-shirt!
I did some research to check out the company and saw that when the owner was 17 she started the business back in the 80’s. Sorry to hear they went the way they did.

Great picks! Quality clothes are hard to find. You hit the jackpot.
Jacki, it's rare I hit the jackpot this big. I was over the moon!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Looks like you hit the jackpot.
It was a great day of yard-sailing, Becky! Doesn't happen every time, but when it does...it feels oh so good. ❤️❤️❤️

Take a Long term capital loss on your tax return for the amount you paid when you bought the shares.
