WET TO DRY HAIR ROUTINE: everything I use & how I style (dyson airwrap)

- today I'm taking you guys through my FULL HAIR ROUTINE! from wet to dry, all the products I use and love, and how I style it. MORE INFO BELOW!
*my HAIRCUT is long layers, angled in the from to face frame, & cut straight across in the back
my HAIR COLOR is my natural at the base (close to a 6N) with baby lights all over and more in the front/lighter to frame in my face, I asked for them to be beige toned rather than blonde
*I haven’t used PERMANENT color on my hair in 4 years, so it’s been a long + gradual process to eliminate the old, black hair color I used to use. we always use a hair gloss like redken shades or goodwell colorance for my color.
*yes, I’ve been BLONDE. no, I’m not planning on ever doing it again. same goes for SHORT hair. my head is massive. I can't.
*I do have PSORIASIS. Nothing will cure it as it is an autoimmune disease. Best thing I’ve found is to regularly use a scalp scrub. I’m allergic to the TGEL/TSAL shampoos. I use the Oribe as it has salicylic acid which also helps with flakiness. For me, my Psoriasis flares up in the cold months + basically disappears in the summer months/when I am exposed to sunlight.

Have you tried the hair towel from Luin Living? It’s a little more expensive than the Kitsch one but it dries my hair so much faster (I have really thick hair) and it stays put. I hate when the towels feel like they are going to come undone!

Srsly, I was surprised at how dry it was too. Usually when I use hair towels like the one she uses my hair still comes out piece-y and wet :(

Love the tip about using dry shampoo while hair is still clean. I have been washing my hair at night, doing a decent blow out, spraying dry shampoo at the roots, and putting it up in a messy bun to sleep. When I take it down in the morning I have so much volume and nice waves.

@@BartonellaBabe Hi, I dry my hair pretty much all the way because my hair will have a tendency to frizz if I go to bed with it damp. I rough dry it about 90% with a regular hair dryer then use the Revlon Volumizer for smoothness. I like Living Proof Dry Volume, it is a combination of dry shampoo and volumizing product. Spray at the roots work it in, then lightly spray the whole bun once the hair is up. I use a fluffy satin scrunchie to prevent damage and not get any weird bends the next day. This routine has saved me so much time in the morning and has made my hair healthier because I don't feel the need to flat iron or curl the next day.

I love your hair!! I’m naturally a dark brown brunette, but I recently have been blonde for the last year and I made a decision to go back brunette but a light brunette with a light money piece! I want to get my hair longer and healthier so I’m coloring my hair next month! My mom is a hair stylist and I use a lot of creams, oils, conditioning treatments, and I also take vitamins!

I have seborrheic dermatitis on my scalp and something that has helped it are those spikey silicone scalp massagers. They're super cheap on amazon but so effective. I bought one for my sister too and she loves it

I’ve struggled with psoriasis my whole life and Ive found it improves if I blow dry my scalp at the root and don’t let it air dry.
I have pretty curly hair that I always get compliments on. During the summer months I def can NOT straighten it cuz it’ll be a frizzy mess. This beautiful fall weather and your video have inspired me to straighten my hair today. Thanks Steph!!!❤️👍😊

I’ve heard people talk about preventative dry shampoo before but never really understood the reason behind it but now I wanna try it!!
Do it! I have fine hair and I do dry shampoo in my clean hair, it adds volume and texture and I can wash it less which is good for my bleached hair. And it doesnt weigh my hair down like hairspray, and gives enough texture to make a hairstyle last longer than hairspray. Its been a game changer for mine.

I was my hair every 3-4 days. Ironically, the longer I go without washes the dryer my hair becomes. Washing my hair makes them soft and healthy because I follow up with a leave in hair mask
For anyone who can't justify nearly $1000 on a blowdryer, I highly recommend the Revlon One Step. Not totally a dupe, but gives a great blowout.
I just bought one and love it! I have thick, coarse, curly hair that reaches my mid-back and it worked great on my hair. I have a beautiful bouncy blowout 😍
I have the hot tools one step and I love it! Its basically the same thing as the revlon one step. I actually don’t want the dyson anymore.

I feel you on that journey of growing out your old color! I will invest in some glosses to help. My color is similar to yours without dye, a neutral brown, not too cool, not too warm. I have a loooong way to go until it's at your length again but why not when we're in quarantine. Xoxo

The revlon dryer brush is a great alternative to the dyson! Definitely not the same quality, but awesome for people that can’t stomach spending the money on the Dyson! 😊
Yesss I agree recently got it and i love it. Gives that blow out look and super silky hair and v affordable compared to dyson. I cudnt be happier with the revlon volumiser dryer brush

When you got your extensions out you were very upset about how thin your hair was. You haven't mentioned it since. I just wanted to find out if you feel that was only because you were used to the extra volume from the extensions or do you think it really damaged your hair and make it thinner? How are you feeling about your hair thickness now at this time all these months
I have spoken about this is a video but will share again! I do think they actually thinned my hair, not just that they "Felt thinner". I'm thinking because I went so long, 4 months, in between getting them moved up since no one in my area was doing that extension method it definitely contributed to this. from what I've been told, when you take the extensions out, all the hair you would normally shed (where the wefts are) during that time comes out at once instead of gradual, daily shedding. so it's a big loss of hair in one sitting. I was able to have it fully all grown back within a year though.

Yes please let us know. When I work out it looks like I just went for a swim so I have to wash my hair almost everyday. I can’t just get away with drying and styling it.

Finally the First TH-cam vlogger I've ever seen has the best possible shampoo that they are using for their hair routine which shocked me because every single person I've watched on TH-cam talk about their hair routine they use literal like drugstore like 10 to $15 crap like you need to have or Bay it is the best. I am expecting a package from them totaling about 200 some dollars but I did get Oribe shampoo and conditioner in the blond the one for the blond hair the pink bottle and not the one you have but those like them or bright pink and I got a couple of styling things and prepping thing so I'm so excited

Sammy has good genes, she honestly had the most beautiful skin and hair, that being said im about to use everything she has just mentioned lol. Sams skin care is amazing and I've been following her skin care for a few years now and it has really made my skin amazing.
That being said I have had some major health issues for the last year and im so depressed 😞, im getting all these small zits all over my cheeks and im so sad, I'm on a lot of meds and also two injections once a month, for some reason my skin is just disgusting at the moment and I'm so very very sad im literally crying as I write this, but I have to look at what is going on in our world and I am very lucky, I need to remember how lucky I am.

Wait Steph, I thought you have scalp psoriasis? You should never be going to bed with wet hair if you do. Letting your hair and scalp be damp helps cause flare ups. I saw information on that and since, I always blow dry my roots after showering to get them nice and dry and this seems to help a ton!
I do. I’ve actually found that blow drying too often actually it makes it worse for me!
