      Its important more than ever for each individual to maintain a healthy, positive attitude nowadays simply due to the fact many people feel so entitled to voice their options and project their prejudice onto others with no regard to hurting others in the process. Severe lack of empathy and self- aggrandizement run amok among the masses. Kudos to all people who have the fortitude to persevere through all BS and show what it means to be a decent human being. Congratulations, our Capitan.

      @Eureka *"Hendo has no skills at all!"*
      Here's a selection of Hendo's "simple" goals: th-cam.com/video/7v-uMHk9rcY/w-d-xo.html
      Also some of his equally "simple" passes and assists: th-cam.com/video/v3mg6mPttzU/w-d-xo.html
      Furthermore, being a captain is not simply about skills. It's about passion, hard work, and leadership, on the pitch, in the dressing room, and elsewhere, and Hendo has proved his worth many times over when it comes to that. He always gives 100% when he's out there -- no one disagrees on that. Virgil is a great player and also has top leadership qualities in the way he runs our back line. He's a great back-up captain for sure, but Hendo is still the one, and the entire squad looks up to him.
      So yeah, I guess you're one of those football virgins who have no fucking clue what they're talking about. Must be so embarrassing being you. 🤣

      @Eureka You act like skills are the most important part of the game. Why do you think neymar hasn't won shit? Messi is the best player in the world but can't win shit with argentina? It's not all about skill. Liverpool comparatively isn't the most skilled team, but they have great team chemistry.

    • @finneganfitness5951
      @finneganfitness5951 3 ปีที่แล้ว +29

      @Eureka on average, a player spends 3 minutes of a 90 minute game on the ball (time to use “skill”).
      There are a further 87 minutes of game play left... what players do in this time is considerably more important (not knocking the importance of skill, but stressing the importance of off the ball work and communication).
      Jordan Henderson in those 87 minutes is...
      1. Covering ground for players who’ve gone out of position.
      2. Organising a whole team of men into defensive structure.
      3. Making constant runs to create chances for himself or moving opposition players to create space for other players to receive ball in dangerous areas.
      4. Demanding a high standard or quality and effort 100% of the time from his teammates.
      5. Leading by example of the efforts needed to play for Liverpool Football Club.
      I could go on for days...
      Professional football has gone down a path over the previous decade of creating more players who are skilful, rather than players who are leaders and have a high understanding of the whole game. Liverpool are lucky enough to have a rare player of these qualities. Name me another player in the premier league or around the world for that matter who communicates with and leads his team like Henderson.
      This is why Liverpool won the league last season so comfortably.
      This is why they made 2 champions league finals in a row.
      This is why they have an incredible win rate.
      And THIS IS WHY LIVERPOOLS WIN RATE DROPS FROM 80% WHEN HENDERSON IS PLAYING, TO 61% WHEN HES NOT!
      Although he’s being recognised for his talents as of recently, Jordan Henderson is STILL the most underrated player in the world.

      Henderson was only moved to his proper position in central midfield late last season. I think it was the game away against Southampton, when Henderson came on as a substitute and scored. Klopp admitted that Henderson had had to fill in where needed before that and Klopp apologised to Henderson for asking him to play out of position. This season is really the first time that Henderson has played central midfield (not box to box midfield, deep lying defensive midfield, etc). Great to see Henderson get the recognition he deserves.

    • @judyclarkson5887
      @judyclarkson5887 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@CaminoAir The 'weird' thing tho, his best performances this season (in fact maybe it's the cameos that wins him the award) was when fab was injured and he played his CDM role instead of his 'normal' role as CM. He completely bossing that role when everyone basically said, "Well, here we go. We'll lose the title (again) as our main shield in Fab went down." That happened in periods of early December - the end of January and instead of us losing the grip to the title we went for a mad, mad runs not just in terms of the results, but also it was our peak performance this season with Hendo leading the way from what used to be 'unnatural role' for him.
      And idk, since i've seen that periods, I kind of like the idea of Hendo playing that role more than him as a CM, maybe him to swap roles with Fab? As Fab got more goals in him (those who has followed him since his Monaco days must've reckoned this) and the way Hendo commands the tempo as a CDM is just too exquisite to be forgotten (least by me).
      But all in all, *well deserved, skip!*

    Hendo didnt have it easy when he first signed for liverpool. Many fans were questioning his qualities. Then only during rodgers era we can see his creativity and prowess in attack. But his leadership and tenacity is second to none. Thats where he truly shines. Stevie G was right in seeing the leadership in him. Liverpool fans are proud to have both as club captains.

    It can't be understated just what Klopp has done for Liverpool F.C.
    Jordan, you are an example for every young player coming up. No flash, no showing off, not concerned with fame and fortune. Just good honest hard work and a willingness to push yourself further.
    I honestly would have never believed a few years ago, that you'd be the one to lift, not only our sixth Champions League trophy, but our first Premier League trophy also. What you have achieved is testament to your personality and drive and I'm over the moon for you.
