@@slsm1384 I am just now learning about Jay and don't know much about him yet but what I do know is that we ALL learn most everything we know from someone or somewhere, to me, the most important thing is to share with others the best and most helpful information we learn about. It doesn't really matter to me who originated this quote, it was still new to me and I appreciate it. 🙂

Yes....when I give to the less fortunate...when I shop on weekly bases and I shop for them and give it to the food pantry....and it goes to people I will never meet...people who I dont expect anything from...its the fact that I can be a blessing to others, that my higher power has made this possible for me...I feel this favor in my heart and especially in my soul!

Few things that brought me home-
    1. Location and Time (Sacred spaces)
    2. TIME
    3. Find your strengths by asking your associations and learning about yourself in 4 weekends..
    4. Service mindset , Like John Maxwell say "Everyday add value"
    5. Thinking and Action
Every sentence was full of wisdom.

Sorry for the delay Ed. I only really listen to your guests so when I see on LI that you have a new show I time in. For me when Jay said "The scale at which you succeed depends on the depth of the problem you solve". I hope that's exactly what he said. As a leader at work I'm often surprised, although I shouldn't be, at how people have no idea sharing problems but don't try to solve it themselves. Jay said it within a different context I believe like innovation but even simple problems that arise people love to just pass it along without a solution or at least the root cause so we can find the solution together. I look for that with my team. Some have it many dont

Exactly what everyone needs to hear! "Most people act without thinking, and thinks without acting". This one has definitely touched a button in me. Sometimes we get so overwhelmed with work or projects thinking that we have to do them, also maybe we think we have to stay busy to feel that we are doing something with our lives. But are we ACTUALLY enjoying it? Is it ACTUALLY fulfilling us and bringing us joy where we WANT to wake up in the morning and do it? I really needed to hear that, thanks Ed! Jay is such an inspiring human being!

@@EdMylettShow I would love if you would go back and catch up with a few of your past interviewees to see how they have changed/evolved since your last interview. Cesar Milan comes to mind, Dierks Bentley and Phil Mickelson are others. Another suggestion would be Olympian Steffen Peters. He's an equestrian that came out last year about handling his struggle with depression and some of his management tips. He's had a fascinating career and very inspiring in how open and honest he's been with his struggle and his comeback. Your content is go good, and every time I watch a new video, it's amazing how it's the message I needed to hear at just that right time...so it's really hard to come up with suggestions! #maxout

37:18, What moves people to like me. Is my demeanor, how I approach all situations. How I handle all situations. How I get lost and able to have fun with whatever I do. What they discover is that I'm having the time of my life doing something that to them isn't at all fun. Then when I create, this really blows their mind away. Finding a new way to do something that they've done one way since they learned how to do it. Without words, this is type of behavior is very motivating to others. It show them they can perform in a much higher level.

What a great interview. I've read hundreds of self help books. Shetty has insights and information that provide a better perspective on self-awareness than hundreds of self-books I've read..I was surprised and delighted by the Jay Shetty insights and wisdom. Also, Ed Mylett, you are a great interviewer. I appreciate you insightful questions. I've ordered Shetty's book now and can't wait to read it.

Best interview with Jay Shetty out there by far! Thank you! Other interviewers didn’t have the same energy and interesting questions - I truly enjoyed how Ed led into and brought out the gems from Jay’s experiences and wisdom 💞. My favorite takeaways:
‘Location has energy; time has memory!’
    ‘True self honesty’
‘You find yourself when you lose yourself in service of others - you’re helping people because not only it’s the right thing to do but also you get to experience different parts of yourself.’
‘We have full control to the preparation, process, and practice of any potential/desired result. Focus on the process but separate from the attachment to outcome.’
Remain ‘childlike’ (not childish) - be present - to fully enjoy the richness of life in a joyous state!
‘Does ‘this’make me feel alive? Why does it? Do I want to do it again?’

This is a treasure indeed. The think or act skew is something that got on to me, and I realized that recently. It so helps if someone extracts the juice and serves it straight, just for you :)

Wow, I just watched this twice! There are such pearls of wisdom in this video! If you're not using your gifts in the service of others they're not worth anything. Such an important point! I loved "location has energy and time has memory"
TIME-thanks, insight, meditation and exercise as part of the morning routine. What Jay said about ego was a new insight for me: People who have extremely low self esteem also have an ego problem because they are so caught up in themselves and in their own problems that they can't serve others. Both extremes have problems with their ego. This was a definite eye opener for me. I also loved "the scale of which you succeed is the depth of the problem you solve" and "the mistake we make is either we act without thinking or think without acting" . You can always be the best that you are! Does this bring me alive? Why does this bring me alive? Do I want to do it again? Thank you so much Ed and Jay for this interview! #MAXOUT from Israel

This was such an insightful and uplifting interview. I listen and follow you on TH-cam and and listen to your podcasts Ed. I love all of your content and your interviews. And after hearing Jay I want to look into more of his work and get his book. About two summers ago I was fortunate enough to be on a retreat where we had a monk be a speaker and we got daily insights. I was even fortunate enough to get some one-on-one time with him. It was life altering to say the least. Thank you so much for all that you do Ed.
