The best part of Satan’s appearance at 1:40 is that it makes you feel like you’re *truly* fighting the Lord of Hell. He towers over with his upper half alone, draining your health down to one while Mickey only drains to about 25%, and at an alarmingly fast pace compared to the . When you try to regain your health by singing, you realize that the rate at which you heal is lower than the damage Satan deals, leading to a feeling of hopelessness against this hulking horned goliath and a higher probability of missing on 1 HP and dying. Still your fears, stare down the demon that looms over you, and don’t give in to your doubt; that’s what’ll be the end of you. When you finally weather the storm that was Satan’s first verses, may you never fear the dark lord’s encore.
I still can’t get over with Mickey having 6 FLIPPING SYRINGES! Also this remake was crazy and Boyfriend actually being scared and kind of crying makes this better

I so glad they made bf more expressional. In the cutscene, he looked scared, so this makes sense.
I think it's cool how at a certain point in the song, more specifically in the part of the execution/cycles reference, BF stops crying like he's trying to get up the courage to face this situation without fear, but as soon as mickey starts to get insane again ,he starts to cry once again showing that this is all too much for him to handle alone, this is one of the reasons why I love this version of hellhole, the BF is much more expressive in it than in the original.

This is amazing, i wasn't expecting the music to change so much in the process but damn i love how it turned out, i like how Satan returns in the end aswell, it felt like that was a thing missing in the original ngl

The sprite work with the charting is so good they really put love into this re-do and I love it!!!
I like how the rhythm on 0:52 and 0:57 work. That’s very cool and unique. But it’s the bridge that starts on 2:28 that takes the cake for me. The slow, depressing, beautiful, and even tear jerking segment is my favorite part of the entire song. Especially at the 2nd turn, which we’ll get to later. Having Mickey being changed back to his Dejection form while having the 1st turn have a more methodical & fleshed out melody is perfect. Along with harmonizing with Bf once it’s his turn. And speaking of Bf, HOLY SHIT DOES THIS NEW FORM OF HIM DURING THIS PART EMBODY THE DEFINITION OF AGONY! The eye brows being more exaggerated, his poses not having him so stylish microphone poses, and his overall expressions are much more dreadful to look at. And nowhere is that more apparent than in his forward animation. Which contains pure agony, sadness, hopelessness, anger(due to the lean forward), and fear. And it’s best utilized on the 2nd turn of this part of the song on 2:58, with Mickey’s turn being 2:49. Bf’s vocals lining up with that forward animation & Mickey singing along with his own melody just adds insult to injury for me.

Imagine this duet moment, but Blake/Gold(Snow On Mt. Silver) had a depressing yet heartfelt conversation with a hallucination of his MOM.
(P. S. The ghost of his mom would look like Blake being frozen, but only her eyes are missing and the skin on her hands are torn off. She has a hopeful and happy smile on her face(and her sprite is like W.I. Sunsets and this, down sprite with left hand on chest, left sprite with a finger on head(also left hand), right sprite with right hand making a reassuring gesture, and up sprite with pointing up with wise posture(up and down have closed eyes), and she would be see through))

The original Hellhole in the mod always felt a little lazy or lackluster even though the song was pretty good and the unique sprites for Mickey were an awesome idea.
But personally, it just didn't sound quite right or "fit" the way I thought it would. Especially when Satan appeared with a meme sound effect and exited with a reverse of the same sound effect, which made me thnik that the original was somewhat "slapped together" as a quick bad ending.
We had Unknown Suffering upgraded and then Versicular Iratus as its intense good ending counterpart. Meanwhile Hellhole felt like it was missing something (not just that it was literally missing a cutscene for the bad ending and stuff in the first V2 build that was given to us), but that it required a bit more "depth" to make the song stand on its own.
This video and mod literally fixed all those problems! The emotions are there in the song and voices, the sprites are so fluid and the background is stunning and actually feels like a cartoon-styled hole into hell instead of Madness Combat's Nevada, and somehow makes the filter look like if it was an actual cartoon from that era of animation! And somehow it made it all work perfectly with a new version of the song!
My only tiny little nitpick here is that I wish there was the speech from Satan at the end from the original and then the screen fades to black, symbolizing that BF and Mickey really are trapped down here with no way out. Other than that, this is spectacular! :D

I love so much the details in this, the second appareance of Satan in the end of the song, the remake of the sprites, the new BF vocals, and for me the best detail, that boyfriend has lost the battle at the end, this is awesome.
