Do you guys plan on doing a set up review? As in here are a set of speakers and integrated amp for $1000 that go well together. Then a set up for $2000 and so on?
Another balanced and entertaining review!! I’m surprised I don’t see these speakers in mainstream retailers. At that price, shouldn’t they be? Oh well. Good job guys!!
They are the equivalent of $379 CA here in Scotland. Makes a change that we aren't getting ripped off for a change 😁 I love Dali, have Spektors right up to the $10,000 flagship Epicon 2's. They are great value at $379 but $500 equivalent? I just checked the Epicon 2's price in Canada and there's a fair difference there too. Do you pay a premium on all imported speakers or is it just a Danish/Dali thing? Love Canadian electronics, my primary system is mainly Simaudio with an old but much loved Classé CDP-202 thrown in for good measure. I know I paid a premium on my Simaudio gear compared to the Canadian price but somehow the price difference on the Spektors shock me more! PS nice to see mordaunt short get a mention in another review, I still use a 16 year old pair of Genies as front prescence speakers in my A/v system. All the best with your channel. I've hit the subscribe button, love the upbeat attitude. Keep it up.
I do still the the Spektors represent good value at the CDN price. Working in the distribution side you will always pay a premium on imported product, due to shipping duties etc. Many of these products still offer excellent vale especially if the customer prefers that sonic signature. Many people here like BBC inspired speakers, such as Harbeth, Spendor etc. and don't think twice about the extra difference in price. Similar to why you purchased your Simaudio(excllent product) as it does offer quite a different sound from other UK brands...I had to give the Morduant short some love! When I found out I had a chance to listen to them I jumped on it right away! These speakers bring back so many memories. I just don't think many people know about it hence the low market prices...Thank you for your kind words and support. Happy listening!
@@Hifyed again as mentioned in my other reply, sorry for the late response. Eurgh, gotta say, from my experience the BBC sound is overrated. Danes do it better :) Tottally agree though, if you like it and can afford it - do it. It's just I'm genuinely surprised at the price difference considering Dali are imports here too and I don't even know what the trade agreements are anymore since England dragged Scotland out the EU - but I do believe would be less favourable now. I'd say push for the Zensors (even second hand), if you can still get them at a reasonable price. Only reason I have Spektors is in a rear wall mounted 7.1 config for my A/v system. My Zensors were too big for where I needed to mount them. The Epicon 2's are better than my old Harbeths (they were P3ESR's though so it's not quite a fair comparison) and KEF's in every department. KEF's were good and a HUGE improvement over the P3ESR's at a lower cost but Ivfoukd myself listening to the speaker more than the music. All subjective though. That's just my experiences and if I'm honest there's so much I haven't heard that I'd like to. Right down to a Naim vs Cyrus!
@@Sunshine_Superman I do agree with you Danes do make excellent speakers! I really like the Epicons. I showed the Epicon 2's to my friend who was quite a known audio engineer back in the day and he loved them! I'm curious to see what Dali might do in the future with a refreshed version. I like your comment "found myself listening to the speaker more than the music" that is exactly what I don't want to happen.
What's your take on these vs the Oberon 1s in terms of value? A bit under a year ago when you guys demo'd both for me, I thought that the O1s were easily worth the $150 or so premium (therefore bought them), but I'm curious on your take?
Perhaps academic in my listing space, but I'm going to skip O3s and go straight to demoing O5s, Q Concept 40s etc. At these channel owners store when I get half a spare minute
Great review! Thanks. Are you no longer reviewing? I miss seeing your honest review style.
I have these and I can say they punch well above their size and price. £249 here in Britain.

you read our mind! after we did dali/cambridge reviews we decided to do one together.

They are not in the mainstream big box stores in North America. At that price point, it definitely can.
@@Hifyed some saying q acoustic 3020i is better than this
What's your opinion
These seem great for an entry level newbie, would you agree? I actually don't mind the look with the cover off. Thanks for the review!
thank you! or even a good office setup!

Are they useable as a surround speaker for a 5.1 setup?
Yes they are perfect!
Picked up a pr for $296+tx last week direct from Canadian Distributor’s store ( same as NAD, PSB)
Wow that’s a deal! Was it open box?
Can you share the retailer contact info please? I'd love to get a pair at that price.
Dali emphasis on bass? I had Menuets and were all about mids.
Great interesting video, good speaker at this price point, even speakers costing £600 have vinyl wrap . Thanks guys, regards mark

The Oberon 1s is well worth the upgrade. It was a really good choice glad you upgraded!
