You and me both bruva..golden era for our generation, black, white, brown, yellow....we were all one under the same banner, same cause.... live, love and have a fucking blast 👍🏾👊🏿👍🏾🔥
I'm only 18, but my dad would listen to these type of tunes whenever he had the chance-whether in the car or at home. Now, this music is my absolute favorite, and I can only imagine what it was like to experience it firsthand.❤
Totally agree with u mate.... I find it difficult to decide between "playing with knives - bizarre Inc", " feel good - code B" or "n-joy anthems" "strings of life - soul central"
There was a competition on Wear FM (Sunderland U.K.) in the early 90s and the prize was the album Avanti. I entered but didn’t win, so I bought the album purely for another tune, I played the whole album and the last tune was/is this. I’d never heard it before and never heard it on any radio station but absolutely love this. So glad I bought that album.
This tune....Sun up in field, dry grass, been going all night, breakfast treats, this tune...WE GO AGAIN! We got home the following day 😂 Pretty sure I've got Easygroove in the mix dropping this one, that mix for me second only to Sasha's Adventures on the Pleasure Planet. Was there for both,so bloody glad I was. 👍
Anyone who raved in the 90's knows that piano riff. More of a breakbeat devotee myself....but this was a banger and brings back a lot of memories.....and of course sampled by the hardcore crew!
@@markbarwood7880 Quite possibly! I used to hear it a lot at hardcore / early jungle raves in the house room. 31 years ago!!!! Also sampled by DJ Red Alert and Mike Slammer.
Classic and my favourite mix. Creative use of the Aretha Franklin vocal samples. The later re-release of this track had somebody else trying to recreate them; never quite worked for me.
I vaguely remember🤔 92 the Red&black + the blue&yellows fazed out not long after the round ones came about although im positive I bought shock the beat in 91 its printed on the sleeve/label 😂
Loved flight with the doves. First ever drop, i sat in my Golf gti gripping everything with a big smile on my face as the house tunes blasted out my first sub.
Weren't the red and blacks called Dennis the menace? Had my first in Astoria London either way. Lovely! Doves were the best though. Always knew you were in for a good night when doves were knocking around
Was just in Morrisons mulling over the cereals when ‘who’s zooming who’ was being piped over the in store airwaves. Of course I was instantly thinking back to this gem of a track that sampled Aretha 😊
Finally another long list song found!!!! I found it by listening to this guy called Davos, he plays a ton of old house classics himself, check him out his awesome!!!
Im a 50 year old man... Tears rolling down my face✌️❤️
Hope you’re feeling a bit better. We had a ball when we were young, eh? 😀
@@tomstevens1544 im getting the thanks for asking. Keep the music playing 🎵🎼🎼🕺
It’s the doves 👌😎

I'd go as far to say the most iconic piano riff of the entire 90s ❤️

A couple of red and blacks or maybe a dove, some tiger balm and I'm back in an airfield somewhere in England.

Classic tune. Always wondered if the vocals were Arethra Franklin. Thanks for posting.
Or possibly Loleatta Holloway?
It is Aretha! If you listen to Who's Zoomin Who, you can make out the ad-libs they sampled for this, albiet pitch altered.
@@soundseeker63 Thanks for reply. Stay safe.
what about the 3:18 "ahh" female sample?
