Totally agree with your thoughts on ELK -- the super bonuses aren't very volatile, it's rare that they completely flop, but you generally either get like 60% or like 120% back, and sometimes you'll get like 300-400% if it's feeling nice. Never had a super bonus buy on ELK do anything crazy like 10-20x the cost of the buy.
