Awesome! Can't wait to see how it comes out. Are you doing any smoothing as well?

Looks good. You may end up adding another light coat of bond on spots you don’t like. But, it turned out good

Thanks! Yeah, I'll do another coat on those strut towers for sure. The priming really helps with the visual fatigue I've been getting looking at it too. feels like progress again.

Did you have any rusted out spots in your cowl?

Surprisingly not a lot. There was a little flash rust where it opens up into the apron area but I had sprayed a bunch of rust reformer in them. There's some rust stains dripping down from the threaded holes in the firewall that go into cowl area but all surface and they sand right off. The worst rust was the bolt holes on the hood hinges and there was one hole in the floorpan by the pedals (of course). I got really lucky, I think. Thanks for watching!

@@SleazysGarage I have an 83 & 93 both verts and very much clapped out. I’m wanting to restore them both over time. The 93 started taking on water in the passengers floor pan. Here water was coming thru the cowl. For a quick fix (until I can blow the car apart) -I went and sprayed two cans of flex seal in the cowl towards the passengers fender.
Hopefully It will hold until I can get around to fixing it. I’d like to paint the bay soon. That’s how I could your video.

@@loadedfun4764 Awesome! Yeah that sounds like a common area. Did they sit for a while at all or have they continuously been on the road?

@@SleazysGarage I don’t know 100% the backstory on either of them. I only found out when the rains had started here in Florida. I won’t know the entire damage until I take the front right fender off.
