Anyways, hello everyone and welcome back to our channel. So todays video is all about volcanoes in the Philippines that are potentially active and inactive, 60 of them. There are atleast 300 volcanoes in the country, most of which are less studied by experts so they're not included in this video. In the Philippines the governing body assigned in monitoring volcanic events in the country is the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS). Most of the data use in this video are from PHIVOLCS, Smithsonian Institution-Global Volcanism Program, Pinoy Mountaineer and Volcano Discovery.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) classifies the volcanoes according to their eruptive history.
Active Volcanoes - Erupted within historical times (within the last 600 years), accounts of these eruptions were documented by man erupted within the last 10,000 years based on the analyses of material from young volcanic deposits.
Potentially Active - Morphologically young-looking but with no historical or analytical records of eruption.
Inactive - No recorded eruptions physical form has been intensively weathered and eroded, bearing deep and long gullies.

Yeap from 300 volcanoes of the Philippines 24 or 25 are only consider Active. The rest are potiential and Inactive. Well buti na lang hindi tayo gaya ng Indonesia na mai 127 Active Volcanoes at Japan na 111 Active volcanoes. Only 24 or 25 lang consider ng PHIVOLCS.
Living close to an active vulcano, Mt Matutum in South Cotabato, last eruption 1911.
Have talked with a vulcanogist who told it is on a list as some of the potential most dangerous vulcanos, in a worst case scenario 400-500meter of the near 2300 meter top can blew of it!
Not that far away we also have Lake Holon an old 2.9km crater sea where this actually happened once apon the time, nobody knows when. But it is just fantastic place

I just saw Taal volcano from the Holiday City of Tagaytay and Its the second most active Caldera filled Volcano and the smallest in the Philippines and the world
I was expecting some in cebu kasi 70 percent bundok. Gusto ko lang pa malaman kasi baka kung saan ako nakatira ay akala kong bundok lang ay baka bulkan pala😁😂
