Hello everyone! A little rangers roundup discussing the changes off the park with John Bennett stepping down and holes left at CEO & Chairman we discuss where we are..and what's needed now going forward
Celtic supporter (no big surprise from my name, I might as well be called "Fenian O' Celtic" 😄) Best wishes to Mr Bennet and hope for the best. There is a time to set rivalry aside and just think about humanity. Orrabest.
The man has put money into our club that at the time was desperately needed. £25 million and more. He has been realistic in the expectations and unless we question other board members I think we will be in the same position next year
I saw it real time, been feeling a bit scottish-ly bitter ever since, would feel safe with King at the helm. Gerrard could become an investor... business partner. Relationships
I offer my prayers and best wishes to John and his family and that whatever illness he is facing he makes a full and speedy recovery. There is NO DOUBT that John is a Rangers man through and through..... BUT I'm a Rangers man through and through but that doesn't mean I would be any good in the role of Chairman or CEO, in fact I know I wouldn't and sadly for John, he wasn't good at either role. I'm sure he gave nothing less than 100% effort but it just wasn't good enough. You are spot on CJ, it is unforgiveable that we have STILL not replaced Bisgrove. Putting aside the strong rumours 4 months prior to him leaving in MAY, it has now been THREE & HALF MONTHS since he left and we still haven't had someone installed into that extremely important role at any football club/company. John Giligan is like John Bennett and like us, a Rangers man (or woman if you are a Bearette) through and through but will he be any good in the Chairman's role? Well, one thing is for sure, he doesn't stand a chance of being any good without a CEO to back him up. Our whole club is, top to bottom, a complete and utter shambolic mess. I personally would love someone with deep pockets and a good football business sense about them to come in and buy the club so that we can start moving forward instead of in reverse. Under Stevie G we had moved forward and were in fourth gear and looking to move into 5th then 6th but the board, led by another inept Chairman in Douglas Park, FAILED to back Stevie. Stevie wanted to strengthen the team after winning the league but they FAILED him and US by not backing him and instead embarked on vanity projects like Edmiston House when that money should have been used to strengthen the team on the park. Before this news I knew we were behind Celtic but now we are not just in reverse, we are hurtling backwards in reverse. Having said all that, you are correct CJ, this is a massive opportunity for the club to appoint a Chairman AND CEO to get us out of reverse and moving forward. THOSE CURRENTLY IN CHARGE OF THE DAY TO DAY RUNNING OF THE CLUB MUST NOT FAIL US, THEY MUST GET THESE 2 CRUCIAL APPOINTMENT RIGHT.
I will also be available,as I feel I can take the club forward,I have just finished nursery school and can even do my two times table,I have enough pocket money to send Tav away,a big boys cuddle to get Hagi back on the park,I won't accept a really good 10 minutes in a game against our biggest rivals and get really sad when I worry about every away game and just any old firm! Ok-im sorry, but everybody lies on their C.V,I've only started nursery school but I fuckin care and really believe I could be your man and it makes sense financially,I'm willing to work for 1 packet of Haribos and a fruit shoot and 1 ice cream fae the van at night and I can turn the club around. Let me know if I'm overqualified! (We can negotiate the ice cream)! Bell me!
Hope the guys health is ok if genuine. He has done his best. But this is ideal time to push for the change from the top down. Time for new investors, new personnel at the top. New ideas and new chequebooks. With aspirations higher than a few trophies every decade.
@@abcammym if the board officially say clubs for sale or significant controlling interest shares are for sale, deep pockets will come. Got to be more than a few parties interested in a club our size. King can’t sell his as not enough to influence club. Anyone buying in wants to call the shots! If you think current board doing a cracking job I don’t know what to tell you. Just look at them across the road and see difference!! We need change ASAP. Some of board like Tav… been here too long at gotten used to settling for second.
Investment needed but Investors usually want their money back with a healthy dividend too. So it's not a straightforward transaction/solution. John Bennett was trying to make the club self sufficient and therefore more attractive to investors or to borrow/repay rather than depending on selling a player to pay debts
@@martinwfarrell trying being the operative word there mate, I have no doubt he is a Rangers man and put lots of money in and did his very best. Wish Mr Bennett all the best. It is reported he has spent £24 in his time as chairman on Rangers. What has this been spent on as it d9esnt show on the pitch.
The spivs before had about 8 chairmen and they wud get sacked and get 250k pay off. That's another 2m inthe pot to to be shared when we get found out genius
This the time that ALL Rangers fans must be strong and pull together. There is and underlying current of abuse and belittlement, to pull RFC down at every turn. The press pundits and media are trying hard to besmirch, rattle their 'beads' and claim discontent amongst the board, the manager and players, in fact any small blemish about Rangers Football Club they will dig up and attempt to put doubt amongst everyone connected with the Club, and sow the seed that the Club is going down the tubes, it doesn't matter if you were someone who only had a trial with Rangers or maybe played a couple of games back in the 60's if there's any dirt on you they will link it to Rangers with headlines like " Ex Rangers player linked to DUI charges in Florida and arrested" ! when you really read into it he was a trialist who played a couple of games back in the day! They tried to get rid of us before let's not let it happen. I know it's difficult as the team is playing pretty shit at the moment, but lets stick together and support the team, the manager and the board, let's not sink to level of the 'manky mob', and cause shit because of the things going on at the Club. Let's build up this great club to where it should be again, remember "No Surrender".

Is it just a coincidence that this is announced in the same week that Jim Gillespie ruled himself out of contention for the CEO position? If there is a health issue with Mr. Bennett then I do apologise and wish him a speedy recovery 💙.
If he has resigned due to health reasons then obvs I wish him a speedy recovery, however….im hearing rumours that it’s because we are about to be hammered with a transfer embargo by UEFA due to breaching financial fair play rules because our wage bill and transfer costs over last 2 seasons exceeded our profits, and he is jumping before he’s pushed. The mistake was made at the appointment of the current manager, Again we never learn from past mistakes. wrong manager , wrong players, still bringing in foreign singings with no affiliation. Rangers need to build for Scottish football first. we should have signed Louis Ferguson , Shankland , van veen and Boyle. instead we got Dessers, Danilo, the Dutch guy so bad i dont want to say his name. and now we have the current manager making the same mistakes.
All the best to JB, that has to be said. All we can do now is hope that this draws a line, the title this season is gone, deep down we all know that, we need to get a proper settled starting eleven with the new signings in it and start to move forward, 2nd place is no gimme but if the new signings work out we will be ok on that front, a couple of decent results in Europe and a cup has got to be the target. If the new signings don't work out, then my god, its going to be a season from hell and Clement will be out next.
You should get Donald trump he can tell you how good your are and how Celtic have never won anything and you have won109 titles he’s got a great business record Just like your current board and he’s truthful and honest doesn’t pay taxes and likes a brown envelope payment and he’s orange perfect fit
Yer aw saying hope his health is ok etc Yer awe responsible for that man’s health he’s sick of so called supporters going nuts online and outside ibrox etc etc have a word with ureselves u need to support your team but yous would rather give it the big boooooo .. good luck finding someone to replace his money 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀
@@Rangers2206 aye mate but it’s hypocrisy giving it hope he’s ok when supporters have more than likely caused him to resign he will becoming in and out of ibrox in fear of getting accosted by angry bears or hit by something falling and hitting him during the construction going on But I haven’t read one comment saying the supporters done that to him which they more than likely have the man will be a nervous wreck just like the rest of you
There are probably teams in league 2 and below that are run better than us. We're meant to be one of the biggest and supported clubs in the world, and we are so amateur.

Rangers need to build for Scottish football first. we should have signed Louis Ferguson , Shankland , van veen and Boyle. instead we got Dessers, Danilo, the Dutch guy so bad i dont want to say his name. and now we have the current manager making the same mistakes.
Jeezo CJ. No mention that Bennett has put in £20m of his own cash....that's poor
Health nothing, its jumping from a sinking ship ffs. DO NOT FALL FOR THAT

Anyone shocked 🤨,. 🤷🏼♂️
Club is finished
Dave king might come back
When does King the Liar take over?
sign the new contract greg. very solid taday at lb 🍀🍀
Great next the Chief scout and the Manager !
Nervous breakdown😅😅

@@Rangers2206 aye mate but it’s hypocrisy giving it hope he’s ok when supporters have more than likely caused him to resign he will becoming in and out of ibrox in fear of getting accosted by angry bears or hit by something falling and hitting him during the construction going on But I haven’t read one comment saying the supporters done that to him which they more than likely have the man will be a nervous wreck just like the rest of you
@@Rangers2206administration around the corner 😅
COULD RANGERS NOT HAVE HELD THIS NEWS UNTIL MONDAY ?????
It’s not looking great tbh
There are probably teams in league 2 and below that are run better than us. We're meant to be one of the biggest and supported clubs in the world, and we are so amateur.
Is John Bennentt a new player:)?
It’s over you are the ppl Lmao 🍀🥳🇮🇪🍀
I wish the man well if “poorly” however that word describes how he’s run the club!
