Yes! I was waiting for this one!!! When I heard Guile's new song in the trailer. I always wanted to have the soundtrack. But now that I get to listen to the song, I feel like the song is missing something...

I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS TO DROP! Loving this new theme for Guile. It brings together nautical and military veteran vibes along with inner peace after avenging Charlie. SF6’s soundtrack is unstoppable so far!
I keep expecting the classic theme to kick in at any point in the song, and I feel thats a good thing, as if to say that Guile might be more relaxed now, but he'd be ready to throw down for the world again if the need arised.
"Sonic Boom" the military expert with years of experience in these tournaments, this new look is a thousand times better than that of street fighter 5, Guile will carry the memories of the battles against Shadawloo and the memory of his friend Charlie, how great is the Guile 💪💪💪💪
The way this departs from the original SF2 theme is almost the same way Ryu's "Kobu" from 3rd strike departs from his SF2 theme. It even sounds quite similar to kobu. This is not a bad thing.
I think part of the reason all these new themes are so chill might be because of the announcer feature. Since there's an announcer talking pretty much all the time, having tracks that go hard would just cause sensory overload. A voice competing with the music would just create unpleasant clashing noises that would annoy players. I feel like turning off announcers will probably be an option, but the themes were made with the announcers in mind.
It is an option afaik, i honestly i will turn them off since the commentary of the match is done when you trashtalk your friends when play on the same console.
Not the theme we expected but the theme I feel we needed. We haven't really gotten a song that evokes the vibe that this man is a pilot since strange sunset. This song feels... i dunno open, vast. Gradually building to those swooping cords in the middle and end. It sounds like flying.
I'm not a Street Fighter fan personally, fighting games aren't my thing, but Guile's theme is iconic, and this one's definitely different, but I like how you can hear a few parts of his old theme, iconic as it is
@@wildwest1832 neither is better. they are simply different thats a pretty important difference when both songs are going for entirely different values. you should learn what subjectivity is.
Probably my least favourite, mainly because that Saxophone is desperately trying to break free and play more but Guile told it to go home and be a family man
maybe it’s just me but this song has some vibes that kind of remind me of “Strange Sunset”, Guile’s theme from Street Fighter Ex3. I rather like this song tbh.
No wonder it's called sharpened sonic, this is guile after having completed his mission to get back to his family and in the aeronautics, and now a new journey starts... To help Ken mostly 😂
This theme is pretty solid. Reminds me of his EX theme where it was a bit more chill and jazzy. This still sounds like guile even tho his OG theme is iconic in gaming culture. Im sure itll be in the game somehow
Kind of disappointing people would rather have the same generic song we've gotten for decades now instead of this banger that actually captures the jet fighter aspect of Guile that's been neglected for so long. He can even land his plane on his own stage if no one is playing him and will watch with the rest of the soldiers. He's not the cocky rookie anymore, instead he has responsibility of an entire aircraft carrier to maintain. This song does a really good job of capturing that feeling
I like what you've said but I also think the song just fits Guile. He's not loud and bombastic like his old theme. He's a character based off ultimate defense. Like just imagine this song with him in his iconic crouched position waiting for you to jump in. The song has a lower key vibe I think because it not only fits him where he's at in his story right now but how he plays and the feelings you're supposed to be experiencing trying to break that ultimate defense
0:12 - First Round 0:56 - Second Round 1:11 - Final Round 1:56 - Round End 2:18 - Low Health Seems like 2:03 to 2:17 doesnt play in actual matches. This may get changed though.
I think ppl really missed the mark on what each of the character themes are trying to achieve in SF6. All the characters are living in the post-arcs of their stories. I am actually really happy they did not choose to simply create another remix of their themes again, these characters have evolved story after story and their original arcs are already finished. For Guile this is his post-arc to become stronger and finding new purpose while still keeping in character his military habits.
Man, how do people think this doesn’t fit Guile? That lowering synth in the main melody sounds like he’s throwing nonstop, unending sonic booms. 1:10 is when they finally jump you hit the flash kick, it sounds like he’s ascending, flying in a jet.
I'm loving this new theme. Every one of guile's themes have been nothing but great but this one really feels like such and evolution compared to the past ones. And that's not to knock them but also showed how this character has moved on and this is the theme signifying that while he might be old and vintage, he's still got that flair mixed with a bit of a twist indicating he's learning from the new generation as much as the old generation. I might also just be looking too deep into it because I really dig this theme lol.
Great track, and my favorite Guile theme (followed by Strange Sunset in SF EX). Really gives me the feeling of jets taking off and soaring, and that’s fitting since Guile IS in the Air Force. Plus there’s a “calculating” nature to it which fits his personality. Go in and get the win efficiently.
All the haters aside. This theme is actually good and fits guile. Yall just stuck in nostalgia, guile is my favorite sf character of all time. So you already know how i feel about the old theme. But its good to hear something new. This theme gives off a vibe that his mission is completed.
I'm surprised nobody is gonna think about street fighter ex 3 and his theme from it. This ties into it so well. Like a resolution after that really long sunset going down.
The street fighter franchise in terms of music is the “Final Fantasy of fighting game music” aka the franchise with the greatest soundtrack of the fighting game genre

Guile's theme really is just the kinda song you grow to love
Sure it probably won't beat his SF2 theme and all the variants of it but you can't say it's bad.
Yes! I was waiting for this one!!! When I heard Guile's new song in the trailer. I always wanted to have the soundtrack. But now that I get to listen to the song, I feel like the song is missing something...
I think it's because of the drop at 0:40, it's not like the one in the trailer. Instead of being an epic drop it's a lowkey stealthy change. Edit: lowkey stealthy was poor choice of words lol... Let's just say it's different from the trailer which jumps straight to 1:10
Maybe its because they are dynamic themes that can be mixed and matched based on the situation too
@@pixel_stream8245 Oh yeah, like SF4. It makes sense since most of these themes transform near the end. Like Jamie's theme starts of funky at the beginning but becomes more serious near the end.
@@pixel_stream8245 Thats really cool if they have dynamic music
@@solitudeau8188 It does, pay attention to some matches and you'll be able to tell that it changes per round. Very similar to 3rd Strike
You can actually hear a ton of parts from his classic theme in this i love it
Lol where?
@@vesters9906 0:33 in the background you can hear it 0:44 you can hear it then at 1:10 its the normal da da du du da mainline from the classic theme but higher pitched which continues for a while. Its somewhat hard to tell sometimes because they change the pitch n stuff but there’s definitely elements of the classic theme throughout, probably a lot i missed still.
@@zigzag6502 damn, can agree only with 1:10. I heard it 😮
@@JokeboxMachine it can be really hard to hear key shifts etc if you're not used to it. I'm starting to get better at it after specifically trying to listen for it but I'm not able to pick up on the earlier ones yet either
The whole song seemed to have a strange sunset vibe to it
He's just on another level.
Easy operation
idk what you guys are talking about, it sounds cool. it makes me think of a city in the clouds
Finally a new theme for Guile !!! And its really great ! There was nothing new since 1999-2000 for him lol
I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS TO DROP! Loving this new theme for Guile. It brings together nautical and military veteran vibes along with inner peace after avenging Charlie. SF6’s soundtrack is unstoppable so far!
Guile's theme always went crazy! This, all remixes of SF2 theme, Alpha 3 theme....even his Street Fighter ex theme😂
Good to change mood once in a (big) while, people tends to have high standard once something did too well
SHARPENED SONIC GUILE SF6 THEME
0:03 - Intro
0:11/0:12/0:13 - Round 1
1:55 - In Between Rounds/Intermission
0:41/0:42/0:43 (0:57) - Round 2
1:55 - In Between Rounds/Intermission
1:11/1:12/1:13 - Final Round 3
2:03/2:02 - Critical/Low Health
1:55 - Pause/In Between Rounds/Intermission
2:33/2:35/2:36/2:37/2:38 Ending/Outro
I keep expecting the classic theme to kick in at any point in the song, and I feel thats a good thing, as if to say that Guile might be more relaxed now, but he'd be ready to throw down for the world again if the need arised.
This goes hard! We can't expect this being like the previous ones, and let me tell you that this feels very much like guile
For some reason I'm hearing some Street Fighter Alpha 3 Guile theme influence, and I LOVE IT. I'm hoping this theme will also go with everything.
Theme is very chill, but catchy...sorta reminds me of how iron man's theme was in MVC3
I'm getting some sailor, shanty at sea, nautical vibes from this theme for sure.
Really cool reinvention of guile!
Guile x Subnautica collab when
@@Jvcdark09 with arms like those Guile is easily a leviathan class
24 inch naval guns 💪😤
@@MansMan42069 your pfp makes your comment so much better lol.
@@maxdot93 🤣
"Sonic Boom" the military expert with years of experience in these tournaments, this new look is a thousand times better than that of street fighter 5, Guile will carry the memories of the battles against Shadawloo and the memory of his friend Charlie, how great is the Guile 💪💪💪💪
Guile be like OMNIMAN, ageing slows the older he gets, but keeps getting stronger and stronger. Damn look at those arms.
The way this departs from the original SF2 theme is almost the same way Ryu's "Kobu" from 3rd strike departs from his SF2 theme.
It even sounds quite similar to kobu. This is not a bad thing.
How does this sound like Kobu? I don't really hear it.
This isn't just Guile's theme, this is the theme of his Sonic Boom alone
I think part of the reason all these new themes are so chill might be because of the announcer feature. Since there's an announcer talking pretty much all the time, having tracks that go hard would just cause sensory overload. A voice competing with the music would just create unpleasant clashing noises that would annoy players. I feel like turning off announcers will probably be an option, but the themes were made with the announcers in mind.
It is an option afaik, i honestly i will turn them off since the commentary of the match is done when you trashtalk your friends when play on the same console.
It's not that chill lol it has quite the acceleration
@@SonnyBCreative Jamie and Ryu's theme definitely pump the hype up
Jamie and Ryu's theme pretty much disproves this
Not the theme we expected but the theme I feel we needed. We haven't really gotten a song that evokes the vibe that this man is a pilot since strange sunset. This song feels... i dunno open, vast. Gradually building to those swooping cords in the middle and end. It sounds like flying.
exactly!!
1:11 to 1:25 is a banger, wish the whole theme were based around this sound.
Probably cause it’s his old melody
I'm not a Street Fighter fan personally, fighting games aren't my thing, but Guile's theme is iconic, and this one's definitely different, but I like how you can hear a few parts of his old theme, iconic as it is
Imagine having a character with such an iconic theme you don't change it for over 20 years. Then when you finally do it SLAPS THIS HARD
sf 2 one is better. Its not even close. This isnt bad
@@wildwest1832 neither is better. they are simply different thats a pretty important difference when both songs are going for entirely different values. you should learn what subjectivity is.
This is my favorite of the new themes shown so far. I think it fits Guile really well !
Please explain how it fits him.
@@5uomalainen it sounds cool as shit but relaxed. It's subjective really, I don't have music theory to back it up.
Also at 0:36, the sax sounds like the start of his OG theme
Guile be like: "You got 30 seconds to abort this mission, or I'll send you back in a coffin with your flag draped over it."
"Got you in my sight" 👌
I also remembered that part of the trailer😁✌
@@AAFTT😂
Probably my least favourite, mainly because that Saxophone is desperately trying to break free and play more but Guile told it to go home and be a family man
So far guile is my favorite character shown this far. They just made him 10x cooler now
I'm going to miss Guile's old theme, but this still goes hard
Agreed
I bet Guile's theme would go pretty well with this song
wait
Why miss it? Just got back and listen to it and who knows they may bring it back in the next one
maybe it’s just me but this song has some vibes that kind of remind me of “Strange Sunset”, Guile’s theme from Street Fighter Ex3. I rather like this song tbh.
yes exactly that, this one grew on me
No wonder it's called sharpened sonic, this is guile after having completed his mission to get back to his family and in the aeronautics, and now a new journey starts... To help Ken mostly 😂
This theme is pretty solid. Reminds me of his EX theme where it was a bit more chill and jazzy. This still sounds like guile even tho his OG theme is iconic in gaming culture. Im sure itll be in the game somehow
Fun fact: the musical progression is almost identical to "Strange Sunset"
That it is, those Ex OST days were amazing. Glade to see they haven't lost sight of it
Kind of disappointing people would rather have the same generic song we've gotten for decades now instead of this banger that actually captures the jet fighter aspect of Guile that's been neglected for so long. He can even land his plane on his own stage if no one is playing him and will watch with the rest of the soldiers. He's not the cocky rookie anymore, instead he has responsibility of an entire aircraft carrier to maintain. This song does a really good job of capturing that feeling
Nigga, I think more people are just saying this song is ASS. There are great songs in this genre, THIS AINT IT.
I called it that Guiles theme would be released during Evo weekend! It's such a bop!
"Got you in my sight"
0:12 - First Round
0:56 - Second Round
1:11 - Final Round
1:56 - Round End
2:18 - Low Health
Seems like 2:03 to 2:17 doesnt play in actual matches. This may get changed though.
Could the parts that don't normally play be for transitioning to other parts of the theme?
Guile looks even more chad in this game
Guile getting more chaddier with his every next appearence anywhere
This theme really gives me “Jets in flight” vibes, if that makes sense? Like, uhhhhh, imagining an F-22 in a dogfight, this theme fits real well.
Very Top Gun esque
Is it just me, or there's still a bit of the melody of his classic theme in there? For example 0:11
I definitely agree. It's a shame this fandom is too judgmental because these themes aren't instant wins like SF2's themes.
“I’m just on another level”
I like that old guile theme
Your look here is making me feel old Colonel William Guile.
This theme is so fire ngl
It's a war crime abandoning the original Guile's theme.
Man, how do people think this doesn’t fit Guile?
That lowering synth in the main melody sounds like he’s throwing nonstop, unending sonic booms.
1:10 is when they finally jump you hit the flash kick, it sounds like he’s ascending, flying in a jet.
This theme tells that Guile is a charge character by the quiet motifs
After hearing so many people complaining I finally decided to check this out and it's actually great.
People cry about everything smh.
The theme is great and fits Guile's stoic nature. People just want to find something to hate about SF like always.
LETS GOOOO BANGER TRACK!!!!
Definitely not looking too deep brother lol these themes are made by passionate people.
The OGS are all chill asf now no more fighting and revenge just Vibes ✨
Cept for Ken... 😂
@@jaserror Gotta agree with you Fam. Ken is DEFINITELY going though it these days lol
I could shed a tear for how excited and pleased people are with the game so far, I’m not even one of the developers 😭
This Guile theme does not go with everything.
Neither did the other one, it’s just an old meme
after shadaloo saga. He now is focusing about his air force pilot .this theme is suitable for his focusing his air force pilot life
All the haters aside. This theme is actually good and fits guile. Yall just stuck in nostalgia, guile is my favorite sf character of all time. So you already know how i feel about the old theme. But its good to hear something new. This theme gives off a vibe that his mission is completed.
Been waiting for you to drop this - so sick
It's superb. You might not notice after the first listen, but give it a second run and you'll understand. Worthy of a family man 🤜
I'm surprised nobody is gonna think about street fighter ex 3 and his theme from it. This ties into it so well. Like a resolution after that really long sunset going down.
I did when it first released, but I also compare it to an upbeat version of his alpha 3 theme
we went from the greatest character theme composed by capcom to this elevator music shit
I am glad capcom is finally making new themes for characters. Means they are no no longer just milking the nostalgia.
Good, you gotta take things in a new direction somehow.
One of my favorite themes hands down. I’m happy my friend plays guile because I get to hear this song 😄
Despite the techno style, Ryu’s, Chun-li’s, and Guile’s themes sound much more mature to represent their age, in my ears.
The street fighter franchise in terms of music is the “Final Fantasy of fighting game music” aka the franchise with the greatest soundtrack of the fighting game genre
No no he’s got a point
not even close.
Yoko Shimamura ftw
@@StriderZessei yep she deserves a lot of love and thanks for the fans for helping to create the most recognizable soundtrack of the genre
I disagree with FF having the greatest jrpg music and SF having the greatest fighting game music since other games in the genres also have great music
I prefer Guiles Original Theme Song
This Theme is Good but I liked his old Theme better.
This sounds like it is based on his alpha 3 and street fighter EX themes
Today's a good day everyone
Character Select theme is a must
The stern face just turns me on, pls Capcom, I need more of this!
