I thrifted a beautiful coach bag! It’s from the 2000’s in amazing shape! I just bought some leather cleaner and conditioner. ❤ thank you for your video!
Hi there I just discovered your channel because I was trying to sell a bag that I bought as a flight attendant in the 90s. I’m trying to find the style and the value. C6C-8968( or 3?)I can’t read the last number. Any suggestions?
When buying an older bag. In your opinion is it worth buying a factory bag? In the past Coach Outlet was the same as in the store and marked with a bullet. Now they make bags specially for the outlet and different leather. (I didn’t realize this change until I had purchased 4 of them. I realized the quality wasn’t the same as the bag I used mostly for the weekend strap started coming apart.
I think it really depends on the specific bag. I do find that some of the outlet bags actually are lovely quality but in the end it really does just come down to personal preference.
So helpful, recently bought a bag in a estate sale for rlly cheap, wanted to know if it was worth anything or not, thanks. Edit:Omg I just found out that my bag that i bought for 10 bucks can go anywhere from 70 to 200 dollars!
Oh cool, so glad it was helpful! 🥰 I'm working on a video giving the best tips for authenticating Coach bags as well, so make sure to subscribe if you want to catch that one as well 🤗
You're very welcome, so glad it was helpful 🥰 I am currently working on a video about how to authenticate Coach bags, so hopefully that will be helpful too 🤗
Thank you so much for your very interesting and informative video. I have read and utilized your blog many, many times. It is very, very helpful. I learned a lot from this video that I didn’t know. I will be visiting your site often. Thank you so much for sharing this information. ❤️
I would love to find out WHERE my coach bags were manufactured, but I can’t find a list of plant numbers anywhere. Any idea how to do that? And thanks SO MUCH for this helpful video!! ♥️
Thank you for watching, I'm so glad it was helpful! Unfortunately I don't know where to find a list of plant numbers - I have seen multiple lists claiming to have the correct plant location numbers but I find that a lot of them contradict each other so I just don't know which ones are correct. If I ever do get more confirmed information about this I will add it to my blog post on this topic and add a link here as well. Hopefully one day we'll know more about it! 🤗
Great info! I just bought a vintage saddle bag which code says D7M and made in the USA. Got a bit curious so here I am. Do you happen to know anything about the white creed on their 65th anniversary Legacy editions? Someone said the white creed patches were on the British Tan while the brown ones are for the Whiskey colour. Is this true? Thank you!
So glad it was helpful! I'm not familiar with that particular style or the details of the creed patch on them so I can't help you with that one I'm afraid. But you do often see the creed patch be different colors to match the bag in one way or another on the older styles, so it very well may be that one color bag had one color creed patch and another color bag had another color creed patch. Thank you for watching 🤗
Hi, I can't authenticate a bag just from one piece of information about it I'm afraid. Does the creed patch not have any numbers on it? If you need help with authentication, you can find my Coach authentication service here: essexfashionhouse.com/pages/coach-authentication-service
Hi there: I have a major question. I have a Marvel Spiderman backpack (2901-svr32) that I know is authentic (tag is right, leather is right, quality is right and it looks the same as the other Marvel Spiderman purse I bought - I bought 2 from the Coach outlet store on line at the same time). I did not notice this until it was too late to return, but one of the purses does not have the Spiderman on the front of the purse. Is this a rare error that Coach made? Does this make it worth more money? Can I return it over a year since it was made wrong? Please help, it was a very expensive purse and I don't know what to do with it. Thank you so much.
Hi, I haven't heard of this before but once in a while there can be errors in printing even from Coach. I can't advise you on the returns rules for the Coach Outlet store but I would recommend that you get in touch with them directly about the problem. Good luck! 🤗
Hi, usually the all zeros creed is what you see in samples, however I have heard of people buying jackets directly from Coach that have the all zeros creed and usually the samples aren't sold in stores. There are a few exceptions even with bags where all zeros aren't a sign of a sample bag but I'm just not sure about the jackets. Sorry I can't help with this one!
Hello. Whats the difference between Carly 10619 and Carly 10620? Thanks❤ also. Is the creed always sewn in with two side stitches vertically? Not stitched on all sides?
Hi! Sorry, I can't tell you the difference between those two specifically as I don't know all the Coach models by heart but it could be that they made multiple versions of the same model where some details are changed on one. Just like all Rogues don't have the same style number even though they are the same model but have different features (for example snakeskin details, embellishments etc) Best I can say is try to compare pictures of each bag from online and see if you can spot a difference 😊 As for the creed patch, it depends on the bag - most bags from 2014/15 and forward have creed patches stitched only down the sides, but most of the bags before that have creed patches stitched all around. Hope that helps! 🤗
I have a bag with the number 303 - 14. Everything screams real. But really don’t know. Looks like the Coach Beekman black briefcase. Your thoughts? Creed tag also looks real.
Hi, that number format does not seem right, but I am not an expert in vintage Coach. But on the vintage bags where the creed is stamped directly on to the bag, the numbers are usually stamped below the creed so that in itself is not a sign of a fake bag.
I've never experienced that but I have heard others mention the same thing. Apparently Coach doesn't use real leather for the story patch so if your patch is peeling, it is not necessarily a sign that the bag is not authentic.
Thanks for the info! In addition to what you shared, I found data for pre-1994 which I believe I have. All numbers XXXX-XXX, mfg in US. I have yet to attempt to authenticate my Willis but it is possibly early 80's. Have you done a video about the vintage markings?
Thank you for watching! I believe I read somewhere that the serial number format of xxx-xxxx was used in bags from the 70s to early 80s and then the xxxx-xxx format was used from the 80s until 1994 when they introduced the formats I talk about in this video, but other than that I don't know much about the vintage bags. The Willis is such a lovely model 🥰 I haven't made any videos regarding vintage Coach as I just don't deal with those items much, but maybe in the future I'll get more into them. Good luck with authenticating your Willis!
@@EssexFashionHouse Is there anyone you are aware of anyone who concentrates on the vintage stuff? Women of a certain age are finding treasures from back in the day. Long before most of y'all were born:)
@@lblueheron4098 I know I've seen some good videos focusing on the vintage ones, but I can't remember the channels unfortunately. But I'm sure there must be some good videos out there on the topic as vintage Coach is a whole world of its own 😊
I dont have any questions about the serial number. But can you make a video about the Logo? The original horse and carriage. I bought a pre loved coach Bennett bag from Japan but the horse seemed unusual. For me it looks like a dog. And everything looks very cheap. I have searched that the logo design varies but to what extent?
Bought my Coach bag for $10.00 at a thrift shop. The serial I have on the inside tag is No H1381-F24961. Does this mean my bag was manufactured on August 13th 1981? I can't figure out the year. I understand the F was made in a factory outlet. Can you please confirm the year for me. Thanks!
11:09 I am certain it is either a 2001 or 2013, but it was manufactured in August for sure. "H" is August, since they started making this system in 94 if it was made in the 90s at all, it would be single digits but once Y2K came into existence then you started having a zero what's the digit of the year, so 01 would be 2001 and since you have a 13 that is either 2001 or 2013. I found three Coach bags for about 15.00 give or take a piece on eBay and I made the mistake of throwing one in the washing machine so the Creed patch got removed all together but I bought another bag identical to it and it is K0868, meaning it was made in December of 2008 for instance, but I have an another one that is K1380, it really looks older, the Creed patch is leather, this has to be a 2001, since the first number ever created after the month started in 1994 so that would be "4", since I have a bag that starts with a 08 and another bag that starts with a 1 that tells me the latter was made in 2001. Hope this helps you - I didn't want to get you confused! ❤
I couldn't tell you without seeing the bag. I don't really specialize in vintage Coach, but if its a newer model, you can send me an authentication request via email if you want me to have a look at it. You can find more information here: essexfashionhouse.com/pages/coach-authentication-service
I bought a secondhand mini Crosby but it doesn't have a style number in the creed & doesn't have style number tag also. The seller said it was original tho. The model & material is still fine and 100% the same with the pic I found online. Does anyone has mini crosby that has no style number too?
Thank you for information it was very helpful. I did find out that my bag is from 1980's. After the dash there is only three numbers -926. On the inside of the zipper pocket there is a stamped number in silver 202 .. and two dots. What does it mean and have you seen this before? Thank you Karyn
Hi Karyn, I haven't seen this before - I don't deal much in vintage Coach so unfortunately I can't help you with that, but I'm glad you found the video helpful. Thank you for watching! 🤗
If you mean the style number (not the full number in the bag, but just the style number) and the results are nothing like the bag you got the number from, that's not a good sign, but you can't authenticate a bag just from doing the google search, you have to look at many different factors to determine the authenticity of the bag.
Hi, that doesn't look like a correct format for a Coach bag, however you cannot authenticate a bag purely with the number inside of it. If you need help with authentication, you can find my authentication service here: essexfashionhouse.com/pages/coach-authentication-service
Thank you, I'm glad you liked the video. If the numbers in your wallet match the formats I mention, you can find out lots about your wallet using the information I give you in this video. Hi, you can't authenticate a Coach bag purely from the number inside of it but if the "made in" tag doesn't match the production place code, it is definitely not a good sign. However, I will say that there are many different overviews of the place codes online and they don't all have the same information - the reason I don't include place codes in this video is because I just don't have enough information on them to confirm which codes are actually for which area. If you need help with authenticating your bag, you can find my authentication service here: essexfashionhouse.com/pages/coach-authentication-service
I think it depends on where you are - I am in the UK and I would say eBay is the best platform for selling Coach bags. Their fees are high but you will get the most reach and it being a very established platform, they offer a lot of support if there is an issue. Good luck with your sales! 🤗
Technically, yes - but the format for bags from between 1994 and 2006 should be Letter - Number - Letter, not a number at the end, so I'm not quite sure what the case is with this one.
They don't use the letter "i" to signify a month in the date code. I don't know if it could be found in another position but I don't think I've ever seen it and seeing as it could be confused with the number 1, I wouldn't think they would use it.
Hi, if you need help with authentication, you can find my authentication service here: essexfashionhouse.com/pages/coach-authentication-service Thanks for watching! 😊
Hi. Some friend of ours gave us two Coach bags. I looked at the creed patch of one of them and it has a serial number that starts with a J with four numbers, and after the dash it starts with an F with five numbers. I looked up at your blog about the serial numbers and my bag's first number before the dash has 1668 on it, and the other has 49862. Does that mean that the bag is genuine?
Hi, you can't authenticate a bag just from the number inside. You will have to look at many other factors as lots of fake bags have numbers inside that a real one would have. One thing you can do to start your authentication process is to google "Coach" followed by the style number in your bag - so that would be "Coach F49862" in this case, and see if the model that shows up in the search results match your bag. If you need help with authentication, you can find my authentication service here: essexfashionhouse.com/pages/coach-authentication-service 🤗
It seems like they are putting the C on all styles of bags, but good guess! I'm starting to think it was just their way of starting over on a system so they won't be reusing old style numbers. Or maybe just to make it difficult for us! 😆
This is so confusing for me. Lol your video was helpful but I can never really tell with confidence. What if there is patch with no number but it says its a coach bag. No numbers at all on a patch inside the bag.
I actually talk about this in the video, if you go to 02:35 I explain where to find the numbers if they are not on the creed patch. If there are no numbers at all anywhere in the bag, it is also possible that the bag is fake or that it was a sample made around 2014-2015. If you find it easier to understand by reading, you can also find my blog post about this topic here: essexfashionhouse.com/blogs/news/the-ultimate-guide-to-coach-serial-numbers 😊
So this is a great video!! I found what I think is a vintage bag, the numbers are no PIT-9061, watching this video you spoke how there can be bags that start with “P” do think this might be a “pilot” bag? The style matches and it definitely looks real, thanks for your time
Thank you so much, I'm so glad it was helpful 🤗 I believe in order for it to be a pilot bag, the P would have to be at the end of the style number so it doesn't look like that is what you have. I'm not quite sure about the numbers/letters on yours as of course the month indicators end at M = December and if the bag is from before 1994 when they started doing the date codes, it should be all numbers so I'm not quite sure what you have there. Good luck with your research!
Thank you so much for this video, I am a huge coach fan and have some 1941 series so this information is very useful!✨😊 Beside the creed, I guess most of the 1941 series have special mark (two different mark with 1941 in the cross) which is hidden under the corner and mine also have this mark. I thought most of the mark has 1941 in the cross but one of my bags mark says 17SS in the cross mark. And I am wondering that if this is real and stands for Spring and summer 2017? Thank you always for your special contents and looking forward to your next video❤️
Hi! Thank you so much for your lovely comment, I'm glad the video was helpful! Yes, you are absolutely right, 17SS would be for Spring Summer 2017. I'm not sure why they do this format on some of them and on others you just have the 1941 but this is something you see on genuine bags. Please note that some genuine Rogues don't have that stamp at all depending on when they were produced. Thank you for watching! 🥰
I just received a West pack from a coach outlet here in Seattle. And you were very helpful luckily. Was what I have? I'm going to think it's real. Lol Mine says it was made in the Philippines. I didn't quite get what you said about that. And I do see the c in the number that you're talking about. But that stands for an outlet, right? I'm so sorry 😂 Thank you very much!! Also, might you be able to tell me what this is? I received a little piece of leather, a very tiny strip with glue on the back. I don't know what that is. Is that for repair, or is that extra clippings from a fake 😂
So glad the video was helpful! If you bought the bag at an official Coach store (whether retail or outlet), the bag should definitely be authentic. Lots of genuine Coach bags are made in the Philippines so nothing to worry about there. If there is an F in front of the style number, it means made for the outlet store but I don't think they use that format anymore. The C is not an indicator of an outlet bag, it is just a new format they've made. No one knows exactly what the C stands for (not even Coach employees lol). I don't know about the little leather strip with glue on the back, I've never seen that with a Coach bag before. Does it match the material of the bag? And where did you find it?
You can't authenticate a bag just from the serial number or creed patch, you have to look at many different things to authenticate a bag. If you need help, you can read more about my authentication service here: essexfashionhouse.com/pages/coach-authentication-service
If the 'N' is in the space where the month date code is supposed to be, that would be off for sure, but it depends on the format and where the letter is placed.
Hi, you can't authenticate a bag just from the number but if you need help with authentication, you can find my authentication service here: essexfashionhouse.com/pages/coach-authentication-service
It depends on the placement. If there is an F in front of the style number, it means Factory Outlet, but I am talking about the letters and number before the hyphen which denote when the bag was made. Hope that makes sense! 😊
Hii, I have just bought a second hand tabby 20 in ivory , so this was super helpful! My bag is from a few seasons ago, so I was searching for the style number to confirm that it is the right one in the serial number (636). Do you know where I could find this information, since I have already looked all over the internet? :)
Hi! So glad the video was helpful, thank you for watching 🥰 Did you try googling "Coach 636"? When I google it, lots of results show up showing the Tabby 20, including from the Coach website. Or are you looking for specific information about it?
Before 1994, Coach bags had actual serial numbers which means each individual bag had its own unique series of numbers and therefore the numbers do not tell you anything about the bag like the post-1994 style numbers and time codes.
If it's coming from coach or coach outlet it's authentic. I don't see the point of buying from a reseller because they charge more than coach does. I don't like other peoples hands all over my bags I avoid resellers.
You can also find all the info about Coach serial numbers in this blog post including all the code overviews: essexfashionhouse.com/blogs/news/the-ultimate-guide-to-coach-serial-numbers I hope that will be less confusing 🤗
Hi! I read your article and it has been so helpful. I ran into a very tricky bag that online authenticators struggle with. My code has a letter followed by 5 digits, specifically it’s H22202. The code behind that is legit (58849). Do you think this bag was made in February 2022 and is legit, or would it be a fake? I know this is a lot to ask but would love to read your opinion. Thank you in advance!
Oh interesting. I've never seen this before - I'd have to see some pictures of the bag to determine its authenticity. I guess it could be a misprint from the factory but could also be a fake.

Hello I am interested in 9951 style. Some of them I see for sale have a zero in front (09951). Why does it have a zero? TIA

My story patch start to peeling is it normal or mine is not authentic?

I have a bag I bought my wife around 2005 from the coach store , but there is no number on the patch. What does that mean?
I'm not sure, I would probably have to actually see the bag to tell you anything about it. What does the creed patch look like?
What does it mean if the creed patch is peeling and how do I fix it?

My coach bag starts with a "N". What month is that? N5E-4082
I have a briefcase Cree patch with the N and o a little further apart than most authentic ones. It appears to be a knock off or faux bag. Am I wrong?
I couldn't tell you without seeing the bag. I don't really specialize in vintage Coach, but if its a newer model, you can send me an authentication request via email if you want me to have a look at it. You can find more information here: essexfashionhouse.com/pages/coach-authentication-service
Is 0234-020 a valid number? The posting says its style number 9755 but I would expect that to be part of the serial number.
I bought a secondhand mini Crosby but it doesn't have a style number in the creed & doesn't have style number tag also. The seller said it was original tho. The model & material is still fine and 100% the same with the pic I found online. Does anyone has mini crosby that has no style number too?
No but I have one I purchased late 90's that does and has the P
Hi, I have a current Factory and Country code list for Coach both vintage and New if your interested.
Hi, that sounds great. Feel free to send me an email at info@essexfashionhouse.com Thanks! 😊
Thanks, I sent you my link. Enjoy
Maam what if we put the coach tabby serial number in the search tab and different style of coach bag come up. Would that be treated as authentic?
If you mean the style number (not the full number in the bag, but just the style number) and the results are nothing like the bag you got the number from, that's not a good sign, but you can't authenticate a bag just from doing the google search, you have to look at many different factors to determine the authenticity of the bag.
Hi I have a coach bag with the creed patch reads TN - 1985 is this bag real? Thank you
Hi, that doesn't look like a correct format for a Coach bag, however you cannot authenticate a bag purely with the number inside of it. If you need help with authentication, you can find my authentication service here: essexfashionhouse.com/pages/coach-authentication-service
Thank you for your reply I miss read then number it is N0 TN-9085 it has good stitching hardware is great suede inside thks
Thank you. You have been a big help 😂
I see a court bag that is only two letters before the line. Bp-9870…. No number in between to indicate year. Is this authentic ?
Hi! Coach bags made in Vietnam?
Loads of Coach bags are made in Vietnam 😊
You are amazing! If I send you pictures of my wallet and the number can you tell me anything about it? Thanks
Thank you, I'm glad you liked the video. If the numbers in your wallet match the formats I mention, you can find out lots about your wallet using the information I give you in this video. Let me know if you have any questions! If you need help with authentication, you can find my authentication service here: essexfashionhouse.com/pages/coach-authentication-service 🤗
So my bag is authentic? The label inside made in vietnam but the creed show production code in china
Yes actually i also dont know of number 20 really made in china or not, its only from my friend told me
Do you know what website would be best to sell used Coach bags?
I think it depends on where you are - I am in the UK and I would say eBay is the best platform for selling Coach bags. Their fees are high but you will get the most reach and it being a very established platform, they offer a lot of support if there is an issue. Good luck with your sales! 🤗
Would g13-9927 mean July 2001 and the 3 is the factory made right?
Technically, yes - but the format for bags from between 1994 and 2006 should be Letter - Number - Letter, not a number at the end, so I'm not quite sure what the case is with this one.
Great video thank you
Thank you! 😊
Hi, I was thinking about buying a used bag. The number is H1169-18801M .... is authentic? It has a letter at the end.
Hi, I've never seen one with an M at the end so I can't help you with this one unfortunately!
So “i” will never be used? Is that right?
They don't use the letter "i" to signify a month in the date code. I don't know if it could be found in another position but I don't think I've ever seen it and seeing as it could be confused with the number 1, I wouldn't think they would use it.
I have A question about a coach purse that was inside a storage I bought at a auction.can u msg me back to ask u a few more questions. Ty
Coach Basket Tote Serial No: M2K-6771 I see it was made in China, believe the month was December year 2002? I have seen several values on this bag.
You are right, based on that number it should be from December 2002
Hi I have a bag that ONLY has a style number. It just says No-12947.
Hi, that doesn't seem right at all. Although there are exceptions to the rules, I've never come across a genuine Coach bag with a format like that.
Yes! I have a purse that has style number only (No 10992). I checked to make sure style number was correct and it is
What does the est 1941 in the front mean
That the brand was established in 1941 😊
@@EssexFashionHouse thank you
Maybe C is for Carryall? 🤔
It seems like they are putting the C on all styles of bags, but good guess! I'm starting to think it was just their way of starting over on a system so they won't be reusing old style numbers. Or maybe just to make it difficult for us! 😆
What about the handwriting gold creed ?
Some genuine creeds have this, is there anything specific about them you are wondering about?
I have, No BON-9790. What does it mean
Manufactured February of 2000, somewhere, style is Coach City Bag
What is our authentication fee?
Hi! I charge £5 GBP for each authentication 😊 You can read more about my service here: essexfashionhouse.com/pages/coach-authentication-service
Thank you so much for this video, I am a huge coach fan and have some 1941 series so this information is very useful!✨😊
Beside the creed, I guess most of the 1941 series have special mark (two different mark with 1941 in the cross) which is hidden under the corner and mine also have this mark.
I need 80's information. Mine is all numbers, and the format is xxxx-xxx not xxx-xxxx
Is D1361-FY0662 a genuine coach serial number?
You can't authenticate a Coach bag just from the number, but that format doesn't look quite right.
I just received a West pack from a coach outlet here in Seattle. And you were very helpful luckily. Was what I have? I'm going to think it's real. Lol
Mine says it was made in the Philippines. I didn't quite get what you said about that. And I do see the c in the number that you're talking about. But that stands for an outlet, right? I'm so sorry 😂
Thank you very much!!
Thank you for replying. Yes, it is a perfect match. 🙄
If i showed you the tag could you tell me if its legit
You can't authenticate a bag just from the serial number or creed patch, you have to look at many different things to authenticate a bag. If you need help, you can read more about my authentication service here: essexfashionhouse.com/pages/coach-authentication-service
So a bag starting with 'N'... It's fake right?
If the 'N' is in the space where the month date code is supposed to be, that would be off for sure, but it depends on the format and where the letter is placed.
Hi, I purchased one bag but its number is J4647, is it original?
Hi, you can't authenticate a bag just from the number but if you need help with authentication, you can find my authentication service here: essexfashionhouse.com/pages/coach-authentication-service
You mention F means June, but doesn’t it mean Factory Outlet?
What about 1787-197? no letters at all…
That looks like the format of a vintage Coach bag. This guide is only for bags from 1994 and forward 😊
@@EssexFashionHouse Thank you!
omg I have a vintage bag from my father with the patch and it starts C6C UGGHHHHHH
That should be a bag from 1996 then 😊 "C" = March & "6" = 1996. Does that seem to match the style of your bag?
@@EssexFashionHouse !!! I understand now haha I was so confused by the C. Thank you
Older bag number is 439 then the dash you never said anything about vintage number before 1994
Before 1994, Coach bags had actual serial numbers which means each individual bag had its own unique series of numbers and therefore the numbers do not tell you anything about the bag like the post-1994 style numbers and time codes.
If it's coming from coach or coach outlet it's authentic. I don't see the point of buying from a reseller because they charge more than coach does. I don't like other peoples hands all over my bags I avoid resellers.
To each their own 🤗
She talks to much
5 minutes and no info
Sorry 😂You can use the time stamps to find the parts of the video where I talk about certain information if you are looking for something specific 🤗
This is very confusing....wasted my time!
You can also find all the info about Coach serial numbers in this blog post including all the code overviews: essexfashionhouse.com/blogs/news/the-ultimate-guide-to-coach-serial-numbers I hope that will be less confusing 🤗
That's not kind. Clearly, their system is challenging. She actually has done a great job teaching this information. Do more research.
