- The 2001 season was the first time in 4 years that the Williams team were race winning front runners, courtesy of Ralf Schumacher and Juan Pablo Montoya. Both of whom scored their first career F1 wins that year, as Ralf won 3 races including San Marino, Canada and Germany while Montoya won in Italy. Enjoy!

This was one hell of an engine. Wonderful raw sound, I've always loved it :)
What a serious sounding engine I love it so much it's such a great sound please bring back the v10
Grooved tyres, v10s, tyre war... this is my era of F1 👌
kinda wish they raced on slicks so they could be faster
@@bxtterz16No. It was pretty good like that.
The acceleration at 5:56 😳😳
The old hockenheim...
I loved the old Hockenheim's track. In my opinion, it was the best racing track that Formula One ever had.
@@gladiadorbaiano9533 I am happy that I had the honor to watch at least the last race on the old track. Ralf won. Because it was in 2001 that I fell in love with F1 hehe.
5:57 V10 BMW Engine: *I'M VERY ANGRY* . Jeremy Clarkson Reference.
Its a shame the BMW engine was so unreliable though. Williams could have been a big contender that year with better reliability.
tommythetreat000 Their power advantage was kind of like Mercedes's today in 01, they were always like 10 to 20 kph quicker in the straights. slaughtered the competition at Hockenheim.
No wonder they won at both of the high speed tracks of Monza and Hockenheim.
tommythetreat000 they won 4 Grand Prix in 2001 the same amount of wins as McLaren I think you'll find they was big contenders
tommythetreat000 With reliability they would have been in 2003, but no way 2001! That year they were not that competitive at most tracks.
Bmw prefers to have engine with highest rpms than reliability. Ferrari V 10 engine was better .
It has almost the same power but iti was very reliable
revved to fuken 17,810 RPM holy shet
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
does anyone know what racetrack they're driving on at around 5:40
Matija Pejnovic it's the older and faster Hockenheimring. 2001 was the last year for the track set out in that layout before being completely ruined.
thank you for the response, I thought it was Hockenheim but I just wasn't sure because like you said it wasn't ruined
Barney Ward How they ruined it? You can't ruin boring long straights
@@CHRISrnbWORLD Hockenheim was RUINED.
@@edwin3928ohd Bullshit! It was complete boring garbage, face it
Man how I miss the Nürburgring...
I prefer the v8 sound much more
😅
Hello diehard v10 fan, before you say anything just remember we all have different opinions and if you can’t accept it you are not the good kind of f1 fan.
@@CarbonComp great comment, ferrari v8 was great but v10s were awensome too
Only the Ferrari engine sounded better, and not by much
