Oh yay! So hard to find videos where the gal has my hair color! I just purchased my henna a couple hours ago, hoping it comes this week. I got the Hennasooq brand, the other brand I was looking at was the one you got. Looks amazing! Glad to see yours turned out red, I’m hoping for a fiery red and I was nervous it would come out my same color but with a bit of reddishness

@@thequeenhoho5694 henna is forever. :) It wont fade from most peoples hair at all. So no worries on it washing out. Clarifying shampoos may take a teensy bit out, but for the most part, it stays that gorgeous red till it is cut off.
      Yours turned out beautifully!
I have been doing mine and my daughters for many years now. It is so much fun.
It can get pretty thick, so making it more the consistency of pancake batter is good.
No need to wash hair before application unless you have products like gel or hairspray on your hair. It takes really really well.
My favorite recipe for henna mud is the henna, hot water, a teaspoon of jojoba or coconut oil, a tablespoon of honey or sugar, and a couple drops tea tree oil.
The honey or sugar makes it much easier to wash out, and also helps moisturize your hair. They might attract bees outside though, lol.
The tea tree oil changes the scent to a much more pleasant one. I prefer it to any other things people use.
The oil of course helps condition hair, and since the first couple of days henna can sometimes make your hair feel a bit rough, the oil negates that.
I have also mixed the henna with coconut milk, which was super conditioning. I still keep going back to the recipe above. Easiest to wash out, gorgeous color!
Once your hair is the color you want it, you can just do roots only each time with the full henna mud. Then mix a tablespoon or two of the mud with a cup of conditioner and apply that to the length of the hair. Wrap and wait the same couple hours, rinse as usual.
If you love a cherry cola shade, each time henna the whole length. The color gets deeper each time, especially if you keep it on longer. :)
Welcome to henna! My grandmas used to use henna too. It is awesome stuff.
Also any unused henna mud can be frozen in a zip bag and thawed for your next application. Freezing actually makes it release color better so you get an even more vibrant result.

I’ve been reapplying the henna about every 2 months or so! The color does not fade at all, so I’m just dying my hair for the new growth at the roots. I put a generous amount on my roots, and then I combine a small amount of henna with my conditioner for the ends of my hair instead of using a generous amount on all of my hair! Hope that helps :)

I have dyed my hair about every 2-3 months! I only used the whole box of henna the first two times because I wanted a deeper red color, instead of a reddish brown. Now I only apply a thick layer of henna on my roots and combine a couple spoonfuls of henna with conditioner for the rest of my hair. It is more red than orange!

The henna does not fade, so I have been dying my hair about every 2 months or so for my roots!
