I always love it when you eat the family meals. It reminds me of my childhood eating at home. The caramelized meat dishes are so good whether they be made with chicken, pork (riblets are my favorite, but I love the pork belly one, too, and the ones with the mustard greens are so good!), fish, or shrimp.

That's down home comfort food,the kind that you crave when you're away from home and even tho it's just some simple dishes that you can cook it yourself it just won't taste the same as when mom cook them
9:24 Did Max just pull a Mark Wiens?? 😉 There are so many times when we've had to move because of the rain while traveling in Vietnam 😂 so this brought back many memories and reminded us how much we miss it. Max, the wife and I just loved this video, especially the last part while you enjoyed all the goodies at "Kim's Ice Cream and More". You had both of our mouths watering for ice cream in Da Lat. One of these days once travel is somewhat safer we will be visiting this establishment for sure. (The wife says hello to your girlfriend too, as she saw her give the piece sign in the video, ha)
It's lacking one element of authenticity: Your grand parents, sitting next to you at the table, yelling at you, "Eat your vegetables. You can't have pudding if you don't eat your meat."
my parents' house is quite similar to that house, I still remember the day we were having lunch and raining outside. We had eaten sour soup and snakehead with pepper.
