You mean while you’re riding it? Yikes! The only thing you can do at that time is to bail, and tuck n roll. If a motor stops working when you’re not riding at 20mph, you can easily replace the motor by purchasing one on the Backfire website. If it’s still under warranty, just email the customer service dept and they’ll send you a new motor and walk you through the process of changing it out. Did that happen to you? Were you riding it at the time? Thank you for watching!
you can use a soldering iron to heat the bolts as well, more concentrated heat on the bolt as well as less chance of overheating something you'd rather not heat' since the pinpoint of the soldering iron really only touches the bolt....
So sorry I'm just now getting back with you! OK, so the tool I used is a 3mm allen wrench. But you should also have a tool or tools that came in the box for the board that will do the same job. I just like these particular tools because they have a nice handle on them, and it allows for more torque on the bolts. Thank you so much for watching, and I hope that was helpful for you!
What's the name of the broken plastic piece on the motor mounts I have as my profile pic? I wanna get new ones but not sure of the name. I thought they were belt covers but the belt covers on their site look slightly different to me. I've also noticed that they're not on your motor mounts. If you could inform me on the name of it I would appreciate it.
They are called belt guards, so you’re on the right track. I removed them because the wheels that I put on there were rubbing on them. And really, I tend to remove most belt guards because leafs and pine straw, rocks, and other debris tends to get stuck inside of there. They aren’t “necessary”, but they do look nice. If you don’t see the correct ones on their website, you might go ahead and email them or contact them on social media. They’re typically pretty helpful.
That’s a good question. Probably something you would get a better answer by emailing their tech support. I don’t want to steer you wrong. Which screws are you talking about? The screws for the deck / trucks, are standard size for that use.
Question is are they replacing the trucks for all owners, and are they shipping the new boards with updated trucks. I just ordered mine, i guess ill find out
Oh, this was a good while ago. As soon as they recognized the issue, they corrected it for all future shipments and send out these replacements for those who got the bad ones. I kept the “bad one” for a backup 🤷♂️ Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻
*Nice to see someone make a video on how this is done,* a lotta Backfire riders will appreciate this!

Thank you! 🙏🏻
I have a second hand zealot s2 coming tomorrow with these trucks and 72a 105mm boa wheels
Nice! Enjoy.
Can you please make a video of what to do when one motor stops working on the zealot s2
