Yeah I don't get it. If anything they should be encouraging group play. There should even be a group finder in the game for various activities. Why allow group play but then don't encourage it? So strange.

They are shooting themselves in the foot with group play punishment. Marketing should've nipped this oversight because of hindering new players incoming to the game and player retention = possible $$$. No brainer IMO.

I think you pretty much hit on everything that made me quit the PTR after a day. Season 4 is in a great state. All they had to do was balance the classes and add more fun activities. But they just screwed it all up instead.
One thing i learn trough the years is that when someone do things wrong and people tell them over and over for them to say "oh yeah i will... fix it....... ye.... eventually" and then they fuck everything again and again and people continue to tell them and they just play dumb or deaf or both, beware because they are just doing it on purpose and the dumb idiot going around in circles around their game its not them its you.
They should make it an endless zone that builds up rewards and ends whenever you want it to end/die. Monster should spawn off screen and move towards player while gradually increasing the density. Have some rewards be on the ground so that movement speed would make sense as faster you move = more rewards you get.

Sorry, but Blizzard is just incompetent. 1. They don't know their own game and/or can't play it. 2. They have no idea where the damage is coming from. 3. They have no idea how badly balanced different classes are or even different skills within a class. 4. They are buffed basic skills to the Moon via Aspects and Uniques that people don't care about Core skills or new Uniques for these Core skills. 5. PTR? Yes, let's create a test server but don't give people tools to test anything. WOW! In PTR should be a vendor with all Uniques and Uber Uniques, all Aspects should be unlocked, and people should have unlimited gold and crafting resources so people could TEST. 6. Main Seazon mechanic? It's boring and rewards are underwhelming. 7. There are so many bugs that even if I had all these items I would like to test (but I can't because can't farm them) that all the data is irrelevant anyway. 8. They buffed Basic skills to such crazy levels that nobody cares about their Core-focused Uniques and now they created even more OP Uniques for basic skills. 9. At the end of the day they will buff Barb and will nerf everything else to the ground. 10. This PTR is a waste of time and most probably the whole S5 will be like this. The good news is that it will be a very short season nobody cares about.

@@roflmontage8404 Not sure if this helps or not, but I just follow a helltide map online and rotate through events in helltide with profane mind cage on, and kill all the elites and worm vomit when moving from one to the other. I think I can do 400-500 per full helltide run. It’s time consuming and would be nicer if they buffed the amount dropped, but they are farmable, and honestly way more entertaining than faming whispers for gold. Just collect all your chests when time runs low for the most expeditied farming.
100% agree with all u say, hope blizzard gets this feedback and will make the new mode way more exiciting, they have to make the buff/debuff more of a tough choice with huge buffs or something to make gameplay fun and buff rewards, also the timer is weird like u said. also they need to give us new items on ptr so we can properly test stuff in future
Why does it feel like they don't listen to their community whatsoever, only listen to the bigwig streamers that are full on Blizztards, and give us shit content that's not even worth it, hordes sounds boring, especially with a timer, if it had no timer than maybe I'd try it when it comes out, and on top of it D4 is becoming more and more like D3 with each season, but adding the tormented uber boss debuff to the pits end bosses? That's stupid and no one would ever touch the pit again, I fairly think it was a dumb idea anyway, lackluster loot with hardly any upgrade mats to begin with, that's enough of my ranting though.
They really do seem to only listen to streamers. Eg Raxx made a complaint that as soon as he hit WT3 he wanted to do sacred NMDs but had no sigil, literally the hotfix after his video they made it so the curator guaranteed dropped a sigil. He was the only person I saw make this complaint among both streamers and players. Also monster poison DoTs has been insanely damaging since the game released. There's been feedback on it on their official forums for over a year but no streamer has ever touched the topic. If Wudi, Rob, or Raxx made a video about it I'm sure we'd magically see it adjusted next season.
Can't test most of the new uniques because I'm not farming that horrible Infernal Hordes crap. Just once a new event that isn't in a dungeon and doesn't have a timer. AoZ, The Gauntlet and now Infernal Hordes. Do you sense a pattern?
Yeah it's truly insane Blizzard copied the arena... Tempering being a light copy of forging potential was nice. But don't copy EVERYTHING without thinking. Instead why not copying LP by allowing to smash legendaries with uniques to get some random stat of the first put on the second.
Adam Jackson, Mr Class Balance...hasn't gotten it right since release. He drones on like he is the sage of gaming in every Blizz video, yet can't seem to figure out class balance after preseason and four full seasons. Blizz, despite loving the game, I think you guys need to find new leads and devs.

I love how they said, diablo IV will feature minimal magic again because D3 went insane and formulaic with how the game was fought. And the thing you see here is one tornado after the other coming out from your unbeatable characters... A game is never scary if your character can't be killed by anything less than a mob or elite npc that spawns some ridiculously overpowered attack that you simply have to avoid. They just made it hard to avoid it when dozens of storms and damage clouds and laser beams are spawned in on the spot in a chaos mixture of everything damages the player. -> Imagine if they turned this into more of a survival type game. Here are your characters, these are the elements. Set up camps in the wilderness to replenish your strengths. And no matter how high your level, if a low level mob overruns you, you can surely still die. So level 1 enemies are still like a threat to you always. Especially like a survival mechanic would have worked set in this doomed world... People are starving, hunt for food, skin and etc. plagues that will kill your character instantly or over time untill a cure is found by the character. Plagues you can only be save from if you have the proper applications to deal with it. Some places you could cure for a short time, until the plague comes back. some places are incurrable but are areas you may want to visit... There could be enemies on the map that would brutalize you and you can't kill them in a straight fight. You'd need to use ranged attacks using special arrows or unique magics that cost a lot of mana and maybe even HP to be pulled off. So it would become a more slow-paced mire with more or less some very real stakes. Death should punish players by forfeiting their gear. So instead of high grind permanent sets of armour. those are easily lost and not that hard for a high level player to replace. High armour, magical armour and weapon sets shouldn't be so advanced and unique in the game for players to farm. But more like regular armor and weaponry that's fairly common to obtain or easy to manufacture or just buy. Easy to replace. Sure there are sets to grind for and it may take a fair amount of doing so, giving some weight to it, but upon death that set is lost, but it should not be punishing and just hard enough to be fun for the player. That their minds go like, yes this is fair. I died stupidly and moronically xD.
I uninstalled after my barb could not survive a T6 (same one i used to kill Tormented bosses in S4) and my necro got 5 useless Legendry's from a T4 and T5. Utter waste of time. Also those nerfs are a joke... learn to buff instead of nerf..
Honestly, the Crown of Lucion should just be a Mythic unique, it's that good, you can keep it as is and make people work to get it, its a fun Item, and Lucion is Lilith's brother.

Only streamers are complaining about the groups, they want more rewards for groups so they can boost other people and get more gear by just being in a group...Rewards should be contribute based, so if you contribute 25% of materials than that is your reward is. can you believe Blizzard has fallen to the point of putting out single room horde modes in both overwatch and diablo. I came back for Loot Reborn and less grind. The game felt good to play, got boosted to 50 by a friend and ran helltides and stuff, did some dungeons but they're samey, quests are really tedious. When I got to level 100 I realized the end game was a brutal for someone who doesn't like to grind. I master worked to like 7, but am still missing the locked paragon nodes. I don't want to look for all the statues or walk to a million circles or whatever. I did enjoy playing how I wanted but the power level needed to kill uber bosses is really high imo. The PTR sounded so good since it seemed obvious that we'd be testing the game in the PTR state. So obviously they'd unlock all the kit for us, which they did but boy are they stingy with ubers and weirdly stingy with tempers/aspects, which is confusing. It is only live for a week, I don't want to grind a character through the pit or find an uber and just lose it even more quickly. Give us the paragon board at level 100 don't gate that shit. Also give all the players a token that can be turned into any uber and that uber can be traded in once a week or something to get a different uber. Plebs like me get to play the game that we see and thought we'd be playing and more skilled players and grinders will still outclass us single uber noobs. Again, Blizzard it's really sad how Overwatch turned out and the PVE never getting made, then they released OW tower defense with a big square and geomtric shapes, like it was modeled in a week. That's what this PTR reminds me of, the new mode doesn't seem like a mode, it seems like a dungeon that's already in the game with a teeny tiny mechanic that was hard to even notice. It's weird cause it's Diablo but your staging of the "descent into hell" is bland and lacks dynamic game play. Hoping for more accessible endgame stuff and a mild amount of raid mechanics that encourage world events with medium bosses. Like 3 super kitted out characters would need help, also don't just make it a sponge uses dynamic real time things that encourage many builds showing up... bash, ice, fire, blight, etc all could randomly be needed in some combo. Again not to an extremely WoW level of coordination but just a bit of community engagement. ---------end rant (sorry)

There is so much dumb happening per season it doesnt feel like we are fighting evil anymore, it feels like we are fighting the devs, whoever is in charge is on meth and just cooking diablo3 reskinned mechanics that suck. Diablo isnt even in Diablo anymore.. he's going to be a DLC to his own game. Demons or Devs.. are they just bobby in a trench-coat??
I dont mind the one shot debuff from tormented or pit bosses. But the health of the bosses is key. It cant be both stupid amounts of HP simutaniously as the boss apply debuffs. Tormented Lilith is fantastic example. Not to much HP and still a hard enough fight, atleast until you gear up and masterwork. Make the fights hard, but not long and tedious. Keep the debuffs, and one shots, but nerf the HP. And allso i dont mind items like Harlequin Crest, wich basically goes into every build. I dont like Diablo to only focus on builds, and to little on items. Its boring. Its a item gathering loot game. Whats the point of farming heaps of uniques you have to build your character around. Stash fills up with uniques you have to respecc to be able to use properly. Diablo would be better if it made builds easier, and loot straight forward. Without to much focus on "build defining leggos" The recent itemization change was a big step into the right direction, but still have far to go.
I can literally imagine Blizzard hiring you to figure out all their bugs in the game and program it after those 12 minutes. Because everyone knows who can analyze and rant is also really great in everything in the real world, in programming and game design, that's just a simple fact, like sorcs suck. I would hire you. I mean, all fun and sarcasm aside, I hope that not only TH-cam but Blizzard catches on to some of this. It seems like they need it, but I guess it's like a lot of things in life, people are very vocal about what's wrong, but ranting about things at a family party with the same peoples always nodding about everything we sell, well, that usually doesn't change anything. Sad the helltide isn’t getting any interesting changes or an increase to the amount of baneful hearts received. One of my biggest issues is content rewards not matching content difficulty. As well as many item drops having the same affixes over and over. 12+ different affixes to drop on all items (minus pants) yet somehow all I see is a mix of Max life, life per second, impairment reduction, and main stat. The right piece you need for a build is so hard to farm. Lord forbid you try to find the amulet you need. I think a decent change to S5 would be to remove the life per sec affix full stop.
Thorns barb is dead s5.. so for looks like dogshit and I'm not participating in it. s6 with new dlc is going to be the last straw for me. This game is broken

Loop events in helltides. 10 per chest, it adds up pretty quick.

@@roflmontage8404 Not sure if this helps or not, but I just follow a helltide map online and rotate through events in helltide with profane mind cage on, and kill all the elites and worm vomit when moving from one to the other. I think I can do 400-500 per full helltide run. It’s time consuming and would be nicer if they buffed the amount dropped, but they are farmable, and honestly way more entertaining than faming whispers for gold. Just collect all your chests when time runs low for the most expeditied farming.

100% agree with all u say, hope blizzard gets this feedback and will make the new mode way more exiciting, they have to make the buff/debuff more of a tough choice with huge buffs or something to make gameplay fun and buff rewards, also the timer is weird like u said. also they need to give us new items on ptr so we can properly test stuff in future
Why does it feel like they don't listen to their community whatsoever, only listen to the bigwig streamers that are full on Blizztards, and give us shit content that's not even worth it, hordes sounds boring, especially with a timer, if it had no timer than maybe I'd try it when it comes out, and on top of it D4 is becoming more and more like D3 with each season, but adding the tormented uber boss debuff to the pits end bosses? That's stupid and no one would ever touch the pit again, I fairly think it was a dumb idea anyway, lackluster loot with hardly any upgrade mats to begin with, that's enough of my ranting though.
They really do seem to only listen to streamers. Eg Raxx made a complaint that as soon as he hit WT3 he wanted to do sacred NMDs but had no sigil, literally the hotfix after his video they made it so the curator guaranteed dropped a sigil. He was the only person I saw make this complaint among both streamers and players.
Also monster poison DoTs has been insanely damaging since the game released. There's been feedback on it on their official forums for over a year but no streamer has ever touched the topic. If Wudi, Rob, or Raxx made a video about it I'm sure we'd magically see it adjusted next season.

First time here you are brutal and funny as hell
I love how they said, diablo IV will feature minimal magic again because D3 went insane and formulaic with how the game was fought. And the thing you see here is one tornado after the other coming out from your unbeatable characters... A game is never scary if your character can't be killed by anything less than a mob or elite npc that spawns some ridiculously overpowered attack that you simply have to avoid. They just made it hard to avoid it when dozens of storms and damage clouds and laser beams are spawned in on the spot in a chaos mixture of everything damages the player. -> Imagine if they turned this into more of a survival type game. Here are your characters, these are the elements. Set up camps in the wilderness to replenish your strengths. And no matter how high your level, if a low level mob overruns you, you can surely still die. So level 1 enemies are still like a threat to you always.
Especially like a survival mechanic would have worked set in this doomed world... People are starving, hunt for food, skin and etc. plagues that will kill your character instantly or over time untill a cure is found by the character. Plagues you can only be save from if you have the proper applications to deal with it. Some places you could cure for a short time, until the plague comes back. some places are incurrable but are areas you may want to visit... There could be enemies on the map that would brutalize you and you can't kill them in a straight fight.
You'd need to use ranged attacks using special arrows or unique magics that cost a lot of mana and maybe even HP to be pulled off.
So it would become a more slow-paced mire with more or less some very real stakes. Death should punish players by forfeiting their gear. So instead of high grind permanent sets of armour. those are easily lost and not that hard for a high level player to replace. High armour, magical armour and weapon sets shouldn't be so advanced and unique in the game for players to farm. But more like regular armor and weaponry that's fairly common to obtain or easy to manufacture or just buy. Easy to replace. Sure there are sets to grind for and it may take a fair amount of doing so, giving some weight to it, but upon death that set is lost, but it should not be punishing and just hard enough to be fun for the player. That their minds go like, yes this is fair. I died stupidly and moronically xD.
I uninstalled after my barb could not survive a T6 (same one i used to kill Tormented bosses in S4) and my necro got 5 useless Legendry's from a T4 and T5. Utter waste of time. Also those nerfs are a joke... learn to buff instead of nerf..
Honestly, the Crown of Lucion should just be a Mythic unique, it's that good, you can keep it as is and make people work to get it, its a fun Item, and Lucion is Lilith's brother.

Only streamers are complaining about the groups, they want more rewards for groups so they can boost other people and get more gear by just being in a group...Rewards should be contribute based, so if you contribute 25% of materials than that is your reward is. can you believe Blizzard has fallen to the point of putting out single room horde modes in both overwatch and diablo.
I came back for Loot Reborn and less grind. The game felt good to play, got boosted to 50 by a friend and ran helltides and stuff, did some dungeons but they're samey, quests are really tedious. When I got to level 100 I realized the end game was a brutal for someone who doesn't like to grind. I master worked to like 7, but am still missing the locked paragon nodes. I don't want to look for all the statues or walk to a million circles or whatever. I did enjoy playing how I wanted but the power level needed to kill uber bosses is really high imo.
The PTR sounded so good since it seemed obvious that we'd be testing the game in the PTR state. So obviously they'd unlock all the kit for us, which they did but boy are they stingy with ubers and weirdly stingy with tempers/aspects, which is confusing. It is only live for a week, I don't want to grind a character through the pit or find an uber and just lose it even more quickly.
Give us the paragon board at level 100 don't gate that shit. Also give all the players a token that can be turned into any uber and that uber can be traded in once a week or something to get a different uber. Plebs like me get to play the game that we see and thought we'd be playing and more skilled players and grinders will still outclass us single uber noobs.
Again, Blizzard it's really sad how Overwatch turned out and the PVE never getting made, then they released OW tower defense with a big square and geomtric shapes, like it was modeled in a week. That's what this PTR reminds me of, the new mode doesn't seem like a mode, it seems like a dungeon that's already in the game with a teeny tiny mechanic that was hard to even notice. It's weird cause it's Diablo but your staging of the "descent into hell" is bland and lacks dynamic game play.
Hoping for more accessible endgame stuff and a mild amount of raid mechanics that encourage world events with medium bosses. Like 3 super kitted out characters would need help, also don't just make it a sponge uses dynamic real time things that encourage many builds showing up... bash, ice, fire, blight, etc all could randomly be needed in some combo. Again not to an extremely WoW level of coordination but just a bit of community engagement.

Blizzard now days is absolute dogs***. I keep going back and playing d3, no paid cosmetics or other b.s. out of touch prices meant only for the Wales. They leave us with s*** in-game cosmetics, all of which look hideous and makes me not want to even look at my character
Where am I supposed to un off to? Back to Season 4 for now, until Last Epoch Cycle 2 launches in a couple of weeks. Then the movement speed buff over 8 seconds is good enough to close Diablo IV efficiently.

There is so much dumb happening per season it doesnt feel like we are fighting evil anymore, it feels like we are fighting the devs, whoever is in charge is on meth and just cooking diablo3 reskinned mechanics that suck.

I dont mind the one shot debuff from tormented or pit bosses. But the health of the bosses is key. It cant be both stupid amounts of HP simutaniously as the boss apply debuffs.
Tormented Lilith is fantastic example. Not to much HP and still a hard enough fight, atleast until you gear up and masterwork.
Make the fights hard, but not long and tedious. Keep the debuffs, and one shots, but nerf the HP.
And allso i dont mind items like Harlequin Crest, wich basically goes into every build. I dont like Diablo to only focus on builds, and to little on items. Its boring. Its a item gathering loot game. Whats the point of farming heaps of uniques you have to build your character around. Stash fills up with uniques you have to respecc to be able to use properly.
Diablo would be better if it made builds easier, and loot straight forward. Without to much focus on "build defining leggos"
The recent itemization change was a big step into the right direction, but still have far to go.

Sad the helltide isn’t getting any interesting changes or an increase to the amount of baneful hearts received. One of my biggest issues is content rewards not matching content difficulty. As well as many item drops having the same affixes over and over. 12+ different affixes to drop on all items (minus pants) yet somehow all I see is a mix of Max life, life per second, impairment reduction, and main stat. The right piece you need for a build is so hard to farm. Lord forbid you try to find the amulet you need. I think a decent change to S5 would be to remove the life per sec affix full stop.
Helltide was fun with profane mindcage and iron wolf reputaion. But ofc Blizzard had to nerf fun :(
