Big thanks for all your hard efforts, Steven, you are real genius!
It's really wonderful to see what improvements you've been able to make to performance! Thanks to Retro Arena I'm now considering getting an Arc-S, mainly for arcade, Saturn and Dreamcast puzzlers, 2D games and the odd RPG. I see Saturn Bomberman appears to run at 60 without frameskip--that's very encouraging in terms of 2D Saturn performance! I am very curious to see how games like Cleopatra Fortune (Sat), Silhouette Mirage (Sat), Magic Knight Rayearth (Sat), Grandia (Sat), Cotton 2 (Sat) and Sakura Wars Columns 2 (DC) run. Would it be possible for you to include some of those games in a future video?
I have started Grandia on my Steam Deck, but I realised how little the big form factor of the device makes me want to pull it out and so I've been looking for a smaller device that has enough power. On a 3D RPG like Grandia frameskip is completely fine, but with 2D scrollers and action puzzle games it is essential to hit that 60 fps. With its wonderful controls, I really hope the Arc is the device to deliver!
So happy Stable 1 will not require flashing going forward!
Hey, I'm new to playing with emulator devices and have messed up my setup multiple times by picking a video setting that doesn't work (glcore).
I would suggest an option to reset Retroarch config files back to the stock config file that comes with a fresh install.
I'm loving the CFW though!
I have the same one! Although I wanted Black. 😅
hi bro, how is going with the stable version?
is there a guide for each system, regarding file types, realy enjoy the system.
Can we also have Stand-Alone emulators for Drastic and MelonDS with Touchscreen Support like we did with JELOS?
Good job. Wonderful. But i continue having problems with sleep mode.
Great to get an update , you man are blessed with the work you put into the arc.
