He needs an old timer to set that k up we cut beans in second with a 13 ft head. Show him the variable speed. 1/2 top shieve 3/8 on bottom. Cylinder about 500 rpm . 1 1/2 clearance with 3 bars is a good start. Full throttle at 2500 rpm on engine
Thanks, and yes the reel speed is variable. That’s what the second stick is for to the right. Forward and backward speeds and slows the reel. And up and down raises the reel up and down. There’s two hoses that hang down over the throat that get coupled to the grain head, and plugged when running the corn head. Thanks for watching!
Had a gleaner back in the early 70's. 10' cut but no cab. Yep ,ate a lot'a dust. Even back then they were good machines
Groundhog mounds were
always a problem back in the days I was farming.
That looks so peaceful

Thanks Raymond! I’ll have to try those settings out next year. I’d love to run in second if they work. That’d save me a lot of fuel and time.
What about cutting a piece of pipe insulation to seal your doors on the gravity wagons?
That’s not a bad idea! I’ll have to look into that. Thanks for watching!
How did the soybeans yeild?
Ended up averaging about 42 bushels per acre this year. Wasn’t great, but we’ll take what we can get on those side fields.
Your K a whole lot better shape than mine . Your reel has hydraulic speed control?
